google.apps not responding

I did a search and received a bunch of off topic returns. anyone seen this and perhaps can point me to a fix?

I get this constantly (as in every 60 seconds at times). I like the phone, but not if this continues.

Yeah, I'm still stock and I get that error as well. Without getting a logcat as it happens it's difficult to tell. I wouldn't worry about it that much.

Try flashing a newer version of the Google apps

In settings > app manager, find Google Services Framework and clear cache and data.
If that doesn't work boot recovery and wipe dalvik.

Is my xperia bricked?

The dreaded question from a noob I'm afraid, but a little help will be appreciated. I believe I have a bricked Sony xperia play. The phone was rooted when bought. I have tried to install the latest update on my xperia play with PC companion but the phone does not stay on long enough for my laptop to recognise the mobile. I have never flashed my phone to run a custom ROM before and I have no idea if the bootloader is unlocked but have read up a little about it. I have tried registering with Emma to flash the device but have never received a confirmation email from them to put it into practice. Any other ideas would be welcome. The phone itself loads up with the Sony logo and the phone cuts out after 2 seconds and goes into a loop. I have tried a factory reset too. Does the 1980 2 22 mean anything in the photo?

The 1980 2 22 doesnt mean anything. You just have to set the right date. And if your device boots, the everything is normal

Google Now - Setup Problems

I was wondering if anyone else here has had problems with setting up the Google now feature. On my note 4 I'm able to set up the Google now by saying "Google now" three times in settings and it recognizing my voice. However when doing so with the Tab S it says for me to say Google now... yet its like it doesn't hear anything and doesn't register my voice at all. Googled and searched the forums but haven't been able to stumble across a solution.

So someone at least mention if you're having the same problems or not. Are you able to set up OK Google voice commands with no problems?

I can say OK Google from the Homescreen without problem.
And also no need to train.

*update went into app manager and turned off/disabled Google. Turned back on and now everything works as it is supposed to. Maybe this will help someone else that runs into this problem in the future.

The back buttom dosent work some times!?

After the 5.1.1 uppdate back button dosent work always!!!
I did a clean install when uppdating.

Seriously though, you probably have a hardware problem. You should see if you still have warranty.

Its 99% a hardware problem if you did the update over the air (official through carrier). If not, those buttons may have been "deleted" much like a computer deletes a keyboard after resetting it to windows. But like I said, probably a hardware problem. :good:

Inmy case it was software..i think it was a live widget or live wallpapper..did install several new live apps.. deleted both..now all work great

What functions are the same on the watch 2 and the original watch? I've had a Huawei watch and is thinking of buying it again if functions like the watch only mode, continuous pulse metering and the better fitness is there.
