Anyone know a good, stable ROM that has double tap to wake for the Nexus 5X? Any suggestions or thoughts?
Thanks,

None so far. I believe this would be a kernel function.

Thanks

Settings-Sound-uncheck "Vibrate on touch"
I already have this unchecked and it still vibrates on the "slide" screen lock.

Interesting, I don't have this option in my Setting-Security menu.
I'm on 4.0.1 bone stock from Rogers Wireless. Is this new in an updated version?

I'm on 4.0.3 and just tested. Works perfect.
As far as I know all Androids have a security menu in "Settings"
Is it called location and security maybe?
Cool, thanks for helping JD1001! Good to know I just need to wait for an update to get that option.

Yeah I can remember being on stock and NOT having it but since I rooted and went to 4.0.3 I have it. I hate that vibrate option on the lock screen, I just think it's another way for the battery to run out.
FYI: this option is not available on 4.0.4 on the CDMA Galaxy Nexus.
Someone referred me to an app called "Spare parts". It can disable haptic feedback. It works for the lock screen too - atleast for me...

Does anyone know how to enable trackball wake? I'm currently using Abtekk's custom ROM which is an oxygen port I think. Had no luck searching anywhere.

Hmm... Usually, it's hidden away in the plethora of settings (mostly in the advanced options or in/around one of the lock screen sections) but it really depends on the ROM. For example, CM7 has it, but, as far as I've been able to look, CM9 doesn't. If anyone knows, he's probably in that ROM's thread, try asking there and they should be able to help.

Thanks for reply, tried that but think its only for sense roms.
Would it be possible to (or does some rom already have it that I don't know about) make it so that lockscreen widgets in 4.2 can be fully expanded by default and then unlocked just by swiping the unlock up? So basically the widget could be shrunk back and the phone unlocked all in one motion?
This would basically unlock in a similar way to HTC Sense. I'm just not a huge fan of having to first shrink the widget and then unlock as it feels like a totally unnecessary step.
I think Xylon has quick press and hold to unlock, but I found Xylon to be pretty unstable on my VZW nexus. Could that functionality be ported to any rom? If it matters I'm running Liquid Smooth Beta.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
Team sourcery rom has auto maximize widgets and long press lock key to unlock phone. Works very well for what you are looking for

right, I've done that but it still takes two swipes to unlock. One up and one to the right. Not a huge deal but I'd like a quicker unlock option.

I don't think that option is available in CM10. I think it's just like that by default.

Actual gestures like on Pixel devices no, but you can use tap/dobule tap probably with some app.
