Does 4X MSAA has any visible effect on small 4.3 inch screen of z1 compact?
I tried taking screenshot on nova 3 with 4xmsaa on and off but there was no difference at all. If anyone see difference plz share screen shot.

I'm just about to get new phone and decided it to be SE. I love Arc but also like Neo cuz is smaler and fit better in pocket but i have few concerns.
Image quality - is it same as Arc's ?
Speed - is it as fast as Arc ?
and because smaler screen will battery life be better ?

Pics quality AFAIK is a bit worse than Arc.
Personally I would take Arc.
Both handsets use exactly the same camera module, so the quality of the photos they take should be broadly similar.
Obviously every individual handset will vary slightly, not every Arc will perform exactly the same but there's no reason why the Neo should be any worse than the Arc.
Same goes for speed, both handsets use the same CPU/SoC and have the same amount of RAM.
As for battery life, I doubt there'll be much difference.
Yes the Neo has a smaller screen and that's an advantage but it's not a colossal size difference.
What's the difference between Neo and Ray?
The Ray has a smaller screen and an aluminium body.
All three (Arc, Neo and Ray) use basically the same hardware.
I would choose Ray over Neo because Ray looks stunning.
ray will be available in August and i like neo.
Q: why Neo screen is not as good as Arc's ? apart from size what specs are different ?

Who says it's not as good?
It's the same tech, just a smaller panel - which means it has a better pixel density.
I was reading few reviews and apparently Neo screen is not as bright as Arc screen.
I don't know what reviews you've been reading but GSMArena's measurements of the two screens have the Neo's display as brighter than the Arc's.
for me, Arc is the best one. I'm still don't know with Neo...
Get the arc... It's beautiful and has a premium look . I am very happy with it. Great headphone quality too . You will love it for sure
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
Arc for it's looks and only that...other same sized AND priced phones out there that have twice the ram and double the cores.
Neo for size, front facing camera, and hdmi out (that looks terrible on big screen)
Ray for front facing camera and portability with power. Ray gets my vote!
i got Neo and i very happy with it ! lovely phone !
Hi,
Monday my wife cracked her Z1 compact display, so I bought a new one and replaced it, phone is working fine again.
But, after the fact, I thought.......might it be possible to use a display from the z3 compact instead? They should have the same size, but the z3 display provides much more screen space.
Anyone tried this?
I am sure she will crack it again so I could try it next time
Compare detailed photos of z1c/z3c displays. I think, they have a different connection wires.

Sony Xperia A2 SO-04F (Japan version of Z1 Compact)
hi guys
is there a mod or can you add this feature i xperia t2 where you can make the screen smaller for one-handed operations
I'm looking for the same thing :' I think someone need to port it from C5 tho
so guys after the good time i had with the Xperia z i want to have a Sony phone as my next one !! so what you guys as experts advice me to go with ?
if you are looking for standard good latest smartphone with reasonable screen size, go for xz
if you are looking for series finale , a phone that made alot of noise about being first 4k with comparatively bigger screen go for z5p
in short Xseries is actually successor of Z5 / Z5p in many ways!
Investagating and snooping befor the purchase.

Battery difference: 2900 vs 3430, this is important to me as I have the GPS and music on during my trail rides.
No 4K screen on the XZ, this is a benefit as the XZ will use less power.
5.2" on the XZ vs the 5.5" on the Z5. When considering the fact of the on screen buttons, subtract .2" form the actual screen size as usable real estate.
MM in the XZ, LP in the Z5. There are a lot of TTS apps that will NOT work on 6.0+ as Google has locked them out cuz of the G.Maps issue. So, if you use a book reader or text program you will have to stay with Lollipop or lower.
So what exactly is the battery life if you play music and use Google fit with the screen on?
My GF M4 Aqua could only get 2.5Hrs with G.Fit and the screen on, this is quite dismal compared to my THL 5000 with the 5000mAh battery.

are you comparing z5 with xz or z5p with xz?
because z5 is almost the same specs of xz

I have had every Xperia compact since the Z3C and am always dissapointed by the screen quality since sony uses a weird slant on their pixel matrix. With the XZ2C being so much higher pixel dense I wonder if its still noticeable?
If you need explanation here is the XZ1C pixel matrix: https://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_xz1_compact-review-1660p3.php
For me the screen of the XZ2 Compact is really brilliant. I can't notice any pixels or borders. I checked out also an universal VR glass and it was really impressive sharp picture.
