Hey guys im trying to learn how to skin a dialer for windows mobile 6.5...but when i put my own button in it just shows up as white..im using the stock xperia dialer...what am i doing wrong or what do i need to do...if someone could help please
i guess it shows where ur keys are when you locate them via GPS...it's a wild guess though.
im talking about skinning the phone canvas.... i cant get what i change to show it just shows as white...not referring to anything with gps..thanks though
it is the dll you extracted them from..
you have handled these steps?
- unsign dll
- extract images..
- edit images
- put images back in dll
- sign dll
if not follow it!
i think the problem is the signing
well i extracted the images from the cab file jacks xperia dialer using cab manager and just replaced the png file with my edited one...do i have to sign a cab if thats even possible?

I have xperia arc 2.3.4 rooted
I am trying to make my own theme and here is what i done
1- i copied the framework-res.apk from my system
2- i decompile it useing Apktool last version
3- i changed a lot of pictures inside it with the same name and type (.png all)
4- i edit a xml file by adding more lines ( the battery xml )
5- i complied it useing apktool without any problems
6- i signed it with apksign without any problems
7- i replaced it with the one in my system with root explorer and it forcedclose and then i restart the phone
The phone booted to the locke screen and it was new with my new pictures and the new battery also was new with my pictures
But when i unlock the phone and type the pin code EVERY THING FORCED CLOSE ! And the phone rebooted with the same problem
Now what the f... I did wrong what is the problem ? I have been working all day on it with a big fail !!!!!!! Plz help plz plz

Those are your problems right there...
Firstly, you cannot add anything to an apk, without adding a unique id in public.xml.
Secondly, you don't need to sign system apps.

So what to do now ? How i maked work
i have used winrar to replace images and it work but without replaceing the xml
for xml i decompiled the file and edit the xml by adding few lines then i compile it and took the xml from it to the file i edit with winrar but it does't work i think the problem that i have edit the xml but did't add a unique id in public.xml couz i don't know how to do it

You need to count in hex and add the new drawables, being careful not to have duplicate ids.
Also you need to edit the battery display and animation files so that the new images are used.
I recommend UOT Kitchen if you are not that experienced.

Edit application and I want to add smiles to him When Added smiles to file droawable and re-compile the file and move it to the phone and I start it, but the program does not appear to add any smile??I want a solution Please!! Do I need to register id as each smile or what to do??

i use 6 for edit apk > use 9 for recompile apk and 10 for sign

It's not as easy as that. You've got to figure out where it loads the image files for the smileys and then add code to load your smileys, too.

If you want emoticons in your app you should load them as Assets just like you would any other image. I don't really understand how you app is made and where you are wanting to load the emoticons from?
Can any 1 help me how can i make full system transparent like contacts system setting task manager ande etc.it is possible after edit In framework.res.apk \resource.arsc file .plz any 1 help me how can I open resource.arsc file and edit it.my perpose is only for for personal use.thnx in advance
Please can someone help me with this Quick Memo APK ?
I took this apk directly in my ROM N&N1.6 ( android 6.0 )
I tried to change it , leaving the transparent widget, but to re-sign him, is giving invalid file when trying to install in smartphone.
I am leaving here the original apk (with the file to be modified ) and I am also leaving the already modified apk , which is giving invalid when trying to install .
Someone who understands the subject could give such help to re-sign him?
