yes man
sorry for the late answer
I used one click root software
It's very simple just connect your phone to PC and click start
You should enable usb debugging in developer mode first
A message will appear to you to allow connection between phone and PC click allow
phone will reboot twice don't panic and good luck

easiest method is framaroot. search framaroot apk, download, install, run and root. easy. I got this phone a few days ago and I have a hardware issue. menu button phantom pressing. hoping a custom Rom or firmware update will do the trick or else going to have to send it back. cool phone tho
My G3 is rooted but there is no custom recovery on it , could someone tell me which recovery i can put on my phone, the model number is LG-D855
Thanks in advance guys

There is none yet, the bootloader is still locked. There is a tethered recovery, but its not much use for anything other than modifying or flashing mods, if you load a custom kernel the phone will only boot if the phone is connected to the recovery via USB.
Which method will root the AS990? When I look at the compatibility list, most of them don't even have the AS990 listed as a variant at all.

It worked, thank you!
Slight necro but, I tried this.. and multiple other variants of it... and I can't seem to get mine to root. It will complete the whole process but it will just stay stock or unrooted. Any ideas?
Hey! I have the LG G3 AS990 running lollipop 5.0.1 and successfully rooted. I used Kingroot. Not Kingoroot. Worked for me in about 1 minutes time.

Yeah I'm on Cspire with the same device. Software runs, then at about 20% it'll close and fail. Are you on 5.0.1 as well?
Hmm...odd...I just downloaded, installed, and ran the app. It did it first time. I have noticed a lot of root methods sometimes have to be ran more than once. And just verifying, I opened the developer options and have usb debugging checked. I'll do all I can to help u man.

Oh yea...unknown sources is checked also...I'll see what I can find that may be different...
Hmm, shows that it's not supported and it closes at 20% and opens the forum thread on here. Lol

Crazy. I tried stump. Then one click via my laptop. Then this one. My screen on the app was the same. Said not supported. I clicked 'try anyway', and it worked. I don't get it. Unless one of the other root apps did something to let it happen. Confusing.

Probably be better if we had some more information like what model you have. Kinda hard to point people to a direct step by step without that need to know?
I was already doing it, but I can't do it,i have a galaxy s9 model with exynos, android 10
I have already tried with the guide posted by Acme, but I can't, now I have the device formatted, and I can't do anything
