Hello,
Here's a Note Edge launcher for 5.1.1, modified to have a 5X6 grid, both for home and app drawer. Icon labels are smaller. I tested it on N915FY COJ2, stock and rooted.
To install, just replace the original TouchWizHome.apk and set permissions (backup the original one first). It's located in /system/priv-app/TouchWizHome. Delete /system/priv-app/TouchWizHome/arm folder. Remember to clear TW launcher data and cache before and after. It might be good to clear dalvik cache as well.
And, here's an active apps widget with label removed too.
Enjoy it... if anyone's still using Note Edge

Delete that one too. But backup those folders, just in case. You should only have TouchWizHome.apk left there.
This happened to me.. Went back to the 5x5 grid..

That's the easy TW launcher, system didn't load the regular one. Did you set permissions right?

touchwizhome.apk not workong
i moved the files to my ext sd. then replaced it with the new apk. but then my phone rebooted and now i get a force close and cant get anywhere else
Boot into TWRP recovery, mount system, go to TWRP file manager and copy original files back to system/priv-app. Don't forget to set permissions.

Decompile the apk using ApkTool 2.0.2. Go to folder C:\Windows\TouchWizHome\res\values-xxxhdpi-v21 and open integers.xml using Notepad++.
You'll have to change values for these lines: home_cellCountX, home_cellCountY, max_folder_visible_cols, max_folder_visible_rows, menuAppsGrid_cellCountX and menuAppsGrid_cellCountY.
That's the easy part.
What took me a lot of time was editing dimens.xml because space between icons (home, app drawer and folder grid) needed to be shrunk and that's something you'll have to try several times before you get it just right.
Icon spacing for Note4 is different than for Note Edge...
When editing is finished, compile it back. Rename to i.e. TouchWizHomeNEW.zip and rename the original one to TouchWizHome.zip. Open both and copy resources.arsc and res (folder) from TouchWizHomeNEW.zip to TouchWizHome.zip. Rename it back to TouchWizHome.apk, push to phone and try it.
That's about all you need to do. Good luck

But it's better for me : 6x6 for home and drawer.

It's perfect now. I succeeded. I had to change the icon font size to 11 on styles files too.

I've got a question. I use nova bit want the icons front this theme will they change all across the system everywhere or just in the tw launcher?
They do change everywhere but I use Galaxy Icon themer or SecThemeChooser. I don't know if changing icons through Nova works the same way.
I used galaxy icon theme as I'm afraid secthemechooser will break my vibration... icons changed everywhere except for the edge bar... is there a way to change them there as well?

good question and here i forget to say that on first facing this type of transition u need to take a backup
or
using root explorer copy your previous framework to sd (using winzip extract it) fix permissions with in the sd then replace the framework at your system->framework and reboot its better than backup
so u will get ur original transition

If you have a 100% stock ROM, then this won't work at all for you. Samsung has their proprietary Boot animation file extensions and they support sound. For non-stock ROMs, like CM7, CM9, CM10, or custom stock-based ROMs, you need to go to your root explorer (might be ES File Explorer or Root Explorer), go to /system/media and delete the bootanimation.zip (or, alternatively, change its extension to .bak, to keep a backup, just in case). Then paste the zip I provided, and change the permissions (by holding down the .zip folder, go to the "Change Permissions" option) this way:

use your root explorer, open your parent folder > system > media
rename the bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak for backup
then paste the new bootanimation.zip that you have downloaded.
dont forget to set permission: rw-r--r--
reboot your phone and see what happen
the first one doesnt work because u did not create zip as "keep" ... its simply compressed!
After u change it to keep and install it ... size is really really really OFF!
But non-a-less good job!

Cool bootanimation, sadly not working on my Ace. I have push it to system/media, change the name to bootanimation.zip and replace the old one, set the permission to rw-r--r-- and still... not working.
I never change permissions when i change my bootanimation. Has always worked.

I believe your ROM is 100% stock, however rooted, this might not be for you...
so what should i do then???

Its a lot tougher than normal to make this happen for some reason. I am looking into it. Best I got for right now is I ported the font to our stock clock last night..

I'll give this a shot right now, but I've tried this method with TW5 and the apk did not want to install, when flashed via recovery it didn't show up.

I'm on jelly bean aokp and it worked maybe it doesn't on touchwiz because my friend on cm9 had it just no launcher

Flashing worked! The S3 digiclock font is so much better looking. I started using it on my modified clocks.
