Lumia 900 - Packet Capture Logs

Hello All,
I am looking for a way to be able to capture all the packets being sent/received using 3G/Wifi from the Nokia Lumia 900 & 800. I am looking for a tool similar to the Shark Tool on Android which I can use to capture *.PCAP files. Any idea if there is one available for WP7.5?
Or is there a way you can install a linux terminal and run tcpdump on Lumia phones?

Because you can't capture directly on the device, you can't capture 3G packets. But, for wifi you can use a mitmproxy or fiddler on a computer by setting the proxy on wifi to the mitmproxy/fiddler proxy. Just know if you install the SSL certificate, you can't remove it.

[Guide][Windows 10 Mobile] How to reinstall the Glance screen app

Is the Glance screen not compatible with Windows 10 Mobile? Not any more
No Interop required
Simply enable developer mode
Sideload the XAP a do not open it
Open Store on GS app and click Update
When error will occur , unistall the XAP form the app list
Keep pressing the Arrow and go back to the Store
Click the Refresh button
All done

Interesting approach, and it really works (the part of installing it). But once I open it, the drop downs are empty, the toggle buttons are all switched off, and if I touch anything, the app crashes.

Strange, i can"t.
It says This app is not more available.
Official .164 on lumia 640ds

Glance Background app is useless in W10M and thats why is removed.... not such loss... if your device support pictures on glance screen you can add it via glance settings.. no need for any app..

I only needed to open the Store and go to the list of apps and here I clicked on the arrow to download the app

Sorry it might be a late question, but I have tried your XAP on L1020 running latest Redstone build 14393, but can't deploy xap, gives me the error: WMAppManifest is invalid. Might you know how to fix it?

Tried with Lumia 925 with W10 AU, but still Glance crashes

Copying missing files and using latest Interop Tools to enable the Registry entries automatically works on my wife's Lumia 920 with W10M AU. On my Lumia 640 I can't get it to use the old Glance App, but maybe this is due to different hardware not supported by the app? I can't remember if it ever had the old app that shows battery charging icon. But the hack is definitely working on 920 (which had lost Glance when I updated it o AU).

Works with my L925 (masked under 950) just fine. Used new Interop (which adds all missing par. to reg. in an easy way) add missing dll files and lpm fonts (including old 3.6.1.13 version!) to due (Data\SharedData etc. etc.) folder.
BTW double tap awake, hotspot... all works well. Only problem reported by others and actual with my 925 is panorama mode crash with MS camera but old Lumia Panorama app works just fine.
P.S. Glance version 4.1.151.0 working on RS1 14393.103

Yep. Connect Lumia thru USB in mass storage mode and copy.
Interop Tools required to activate mass storage mode. 4 or 5 dll files and 3-4 folders. There is a zip file somewhere on this forum as I remember or maybe got it from Windowscentral forum.
Only thing is that had to download some. First zip did not work as was incomplete - one dll was missed. Maybe depends on OS and Glance version as well.
But once installed it works - since that OS got updated several times, and glance still works. :good:

I wish the original glance screen app(which on installing is placed under extras) works. Kindly suggest a way for it.
And the glance background app although it gets installed,on clicking the message appears"failed to initialize Glance". The glance screen app on touching keeps on crashing☹ and as mentioned above dropdowns are empty,toggle switch is off..
Kindly guide me.

Hack Redstone bulid for Lumia X2X seires working on 1320

Now Install any Redstone bulid on anyx2x series lumia without any bugs Only for Nokia brand phone working fine on lumia 820/822 and 1320 .Am using lumia 1320 and interop unlock also working on this bulid 10/014361.0.
Steps:
1. Firstly, install Windows Insider app from store.
2. Then download this Registry Edior vcReg_1.5 and deploy on it your device using app deployment tool.
3. Then go to vcreg > … > templates > check mark, live interop and restore Ndtksvc and click on apply.
4. Then deploy customPFD and move it to HKLM–>SYTEM–>Platform–>DeviceTargetingInfo then change
a) PhoneManufacturer “=NOKIA
b)change” PhoneManufacturerModelName “=RM-1089_1087"
C) change "Phone Operator name = 000-DE its important.
d) chane "Phone model Name =Lumia 735
Now open insider app hit insider fast ring and then reboot.
Now check for update its neer 600mb apporax size . Have a gud day

Wait for day the interop registry error automatic remove ..and vcreg 1.5 works normally .but u cant depoly xap files on this version only appx UMP apps working

Try to reset your devicr its might solve your problem ..But its mine mobile data working perfeact.check the screenshot attached

I can not do a hard reset, since I can not move from the initial settings , the "next" button does nothing !

how is battery life and the overall performance?

Works pretty well on 925, I've done a slight modification in step 4 - used RM-1045 and Lumia 930 as a phone model and I didn't set operator to 000-DE (kept it 000-RU). Battery life looks alright, everything is fast. I can't understand why Microsoft decided not to support such high end phones as 920 and 925.

Is mobile data working fine? And is Store auto updating apps?

has anyone tried the ids from a 1520? This phone gets Win10 officially and supports glance and brightness control.

phone is dev registered already.

me too 930 on registry from wp internals on my 1020 and upgrade advisor. hoping to get lumia camera working

No, 1520 and 950XL have different hardware.

Let think about the possibility of doing this work, but you have to know it's not possible.
your phone doesn't have an Iris scanner or a fingerprint so the windows heelo option won't work on your device

Fair enough...but you know it works on some old Acer laptops. Then why not on a phone with a good Front Facing camera?

So even it's not possible to run OS

dude no! complete different hardware and you cant have windows hello on your 1520 cause ms is mean to you! windows hello requires hardware, in this case the iris sensor. AND THATS NOT THE ****ING FRONT CAMERA!

W10M build 15254.12 is in the Production ring only
