Hello
WiFi & phone signal keep dropping every while. I flashed GPE firmware but nothing new.
Sorry for my English
Any help ?

My guess is that you flashed the gpe firmware and with that a different radio than your original firmware contains.
I suggest you return to your old setup (firmware) and just run the original rom and see if that solves your signal issues ! (But that's something you would have done easily already in the meanwhile right ?)

Of course that will fix the issue because this issue is a known problem in GPE ROM and it's doesn't exist in Sense.

Flash the gpe rom on your original sense firmware. Radio is in firmware and not in the rom.
And if it's a known thing you already knew the answer.......
And i see your comments on xposed threads also, have you even tried the stock gpe builds without additional mods ?

I tried that first.
It's a known bug but i don't know how to fix it.
Xposed has nothing to do with connectivity. The bug exist even before i installed Xposed.

Just flash a gpe rom, there is no difference in converting it except you can't flash sense roms…. Doesn't really make "sense"

I haven't found a good tutorial for doing this. Everything always says "refer to this thread" or "use this guy's instructions" and there's always some uncertainty in the mix.
Do I need to s-off the device to install a gpe rom? Will I still get ota updates from google?

Unlock bootloader
Flash twrp recovery
Backup stock system in twrp
Download gpe Rom. I like sinless
Flash Rom.
Soff not needed but can be handy in the future and you should get it while you can. You will not get ota from Google but all the good developers release updates quickly

but I lose my warranty at HTC's whim because I need to register at the htcdev site, right?

You gotta pay to play. You could use towel root, and sunshine which you don't have to register, but you will still be soff and they are not dumb
I need to find a stock rom for the Google Play Edition version of the M8, but after searching for several hours, I found nothing. Currently, I'm running a buggy version of CyanogenMod 11. Nearly every post I find on Google or xda pertains to the Sense One M8, does anyone know where to find a rom or how to restore back to stock GPE?
Any help would be appreciated!
Lol is there such a thing as a stable CM rom?

Yeah, I've learned my lesson, don't do CM unless I'm out of manufacture updates lol.
So I do see the RUU file linked above, but is it possible to just flash a normal GPE rom in TWRP? I haven't s-off(ed) the phone and it'd be great if I could just reflash, just like most roms.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot! I really should have added this to the original post, but I'm hoping to get stock with a TWRP flash (which may not easily possible from the looks of it) so I can upgrade when Google blesses us with the Lollipop OTA update.

That GPE Conversion is very easy to do. Take your time read carefully and you'll be on your way to lollipop heaven. Its a lot easier than it looks, trust me.

I could try it this weekend. I'm just a bit reluctant because it seems like such an easy thing to get, yet there aren't any real GPE stock roms as far as I can see. Also I'm not too enthusiastic about paying for s-off. I know from testing a few months ago that firewater doesn't work on my device which just leaves Sunshine s-off for $25

I suppose so. Coming from the GS3 it seems pretty silly that there's no return from flashing a rom lol.
I'll hold out for doing the s-off + RUU and use another rom like sinless until we see if Lollipop gets sent out as a flashable update or full install zip (or, of course, if someone comes across a flashable stock image in the mean time). Thanks everyone for the help so far!
For anyone with the same problem, I've found the original One M8 images! GPE stock rom image can be found here: http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
Make sure to choose the One M8 Google Play Edition under the devices dropdown, then you'll find the stock images below.
*Edit* These must be built from the source code.
I did some searching, maybe I am looking in the wrong place, I was trying to find a bone stock copy of the GPE rom for my M8, it came with a modded rom, but I would like it to run an official rom, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Any 4.x firmware will work on the latest current ROMs.
What you have is probably the latest firmware for T-Mob US; and either way it will work on the custom ROMs.

SD is a fine ROM. At least from what I've read. I've been exclusively a Sense guy on this phone!

I'm not big on suggesting favorite ROMs. Everyone has their own specific preferences, needs, etc.
I've used stock Developers Edition, LeeDroid, Skydragon Sense, and currently on SROM (just flashed it last Friday). But that isn't to say others, such as InsertCoin, Viper, Etc. are not every bit as good.
Thanks man appreciate the info

hi there i have a verizon HTC M9 . i am using this device in india, currently i am running the viperone m9 . is there anyway to remove all the carrier related stuff.
can i flash any rom made for HTC M9 or i should be flashing a rom that's made for Verison variant.
currently mobile data is not working directly , i have to manually set the APN settings, is there any workaround for this probem?
i am new to this, so sorry if this is a stupid question.
