Stuck in Android system recovery (KOT49H) - T-Mobile HTC One (M8)

So I think I played too much.
I've had great luck flashing ROMs, Kernels, and such, and decided to go s- off in order to update my radio and start living on the edge!
All my new found ROMing adventures some made me unable to receive and calls or txts. So after scouring the web I convinced myself that my radio needed to be updated if not "adjusted". With me ego on one shoulder and my confidence on the other I jumped into the realm of my new unknown!
Now I'm stuck in Android system recovery and can't get back to my bootloader(sigh)
So this is what I started off with before I got overly confident-
Htc M8 T-Mobile as of 11/15/15 (original)
CID 11111111
HBOOT 3.19.0.0000
Radio-1.22.213311491.08G
OpenDSP-v48.2.2-00564-M8974_FO1211
os-
eMMC-Boot 2048MB
Oct 8 2014
I flashed via usb
OTA 1.57.531.7 - T-Mobile USA
Yes, I once had backups and now I may have deleted them at one point.
I thought that by "cleaning the slate" it would allow me to install something, sadly no, now my wonderful M8 has been factory/data reset and cache wiped.
So no adb and the only way I can put anything on it is via sd card.
So Far Ive had no luck in attempting to install from stock sys recovery.
Any help would be greatly appreciated in my new learning adventure!:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
*WooHoo! was just a matter of investigating every nook of the web to find something so simple!
Power and vol up for 10 seconds. When the screen turns off, switch to vol down while still holding power.
Volia bootloader!

[Q] Another poor fool stuck in Hboot :(

Hello XDAer's...
I am a long long time reader, first time poster. I am of the mind that if I have a problem there has got to be someone on a forum that has had it too, and I work it out myself by reading the 100's of other solutions. It has served me well... until today. I've rooted a few phones in the past, including a DHD, but this time I've managed to get myself in a bit of a bind.
I ran the latest AceHack kit on a branded Vodaphone Australia Desire HD. I read the effen' manual but I'm sure I missed something. The process SEEMED to end on it's own accord ('press any key to exit'), though when the phone rebooted it loads the HTC logo... then fades to black. From what I've pieced together it has something to do with the screen type being SLCD and I'm running a version of recovery that doesn't support it? Just a guess.

Good news (as far as I can tell):
* I can use the SDK tools to run Fastboot
* I made a Goldcard (probably useless anyhow)
Bad news (apart from the obvious):
* I can't run ADB
I'm medium-n00b: I can work my way around most things, but this has me beaten after 6hrs of playing. From what I can tell most of my options require me to have S-Off, but I don't... and it's becoming apparent that I can't do this via Fastboot.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, and I will do my best to repay the favour forward.
Ryan
welcome in the club!
Hello chr0nic2k11
Well, I think, we are in a comparable situation. Exept you seems to have a goldcard - i think, i wrecked mine with formating it. :-(

It's kind of frustrating, because I'm sure, for a xda-pro, it is a thing of minutes, to get our DHD's back to life. I already tried for hours and don't even know, if there is a chance for rescue at all.
Good luck to us!

If you can somehow get your phone into fastboot, (don't know if u can still load up hboot), you can flash a stock ROM (thru USB cable). This worked for me to unroot my phone and put back to stock. It should work if you can get the right ROM, google stock roms and nav the site to your model (DHD is code named ace)
Hope this helped and good luck
EDIT : http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Ace << shipped ROM for DHD

hey, dont know if it will help, but i got stuck in a boot loop last night and i pulled the battery.
i couldnt get back into recovery by holding power and volume up or down, but when i restarted the phone by holding power button and volume up and down at the same time. this got me into bootloader, from there i was able to get to recovery and reload a nandroid backup...
If you flashed a good ROM and your stuck in hboot, use fastboot and use the following command 'fastboot oem boot' that should force your phone to boot.

First a am a new member but have used the site for a while, very helpful.
Second I have looked around for a while and cannot find a specific thread for my issue yet that doesn't deal with an already rooted/unlocked phone.

NEVER rooted and not looking to at this point unless required to fix problem.
A friend of mine brought me an evo he recieved that was stuck in a boot loop, every once in a while you could load sense but only for a few seconds (and not long enough to do much of anything) then boot loop again. The Phone worked fine and was off for about a year, then charged overnight and thats when the bootloop started. I am not sure if there was an OTA update but I would Assume so.
I can load the bootloader menu (fastboot, recovery, hboot, etc).
Tried factory reset, no change
Tried removing sd card and rebooting, no change
Ran (mac running windows 7) RUU_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.54.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.0808_NV_2.15_release_220182_signed. I know the radio does not mach (not sure if it matters) but i am not too familiar with RUUs and had some trouble locating one. it could not connect with the phone(assuming thats because i can not fully boot) with or without htc sync installed.
questions:
Should i try to unlock bootloader from htc dev? not sure if it would work anyway from just the bootloader menu
I have android sdk and adb installed on my osx lion partition, not too familiar with it yet but i am not completely illiterate with it. can i use this to push a pcm file to it?
Anything else i can try?
Any help/links/other posts that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Attempting to flash shipped ROM onto a Desire Z (Vodafone NL)

I need an Obi-wan here. I'm a noob -- though I've gotten a solid four day education
hacking at this problem.
My wife's Android Desire Z - Stock ROM, S-ON, got stuck looping with a failed
android.process.acore message and after trying a cache clear that didn't help
I set out to factory reset it. Figured the nuclear option would be dead simple. Nope.
Factory Reset from the Hboot menu simply froze the phone
at the HTC menu for an hour. Not good.
From there dozens of resets and reboots and fastboots would sometimes successfully boot
to my wife's setup (so nothing was reset at all), only to get stuck in the acore loop again.
I was once quick enough to put it into
airplane mode and that stopped the error message loops. YAY! I could try a reset
via software! But when I attempted
Settings > SD & phone storage > Factory data reset it rebooted to HTC screen, Vodafone
screen, HTC screen, vodafone screen. ANOTHER loop.
OK, next try was to flash the ROM with an original shipped version.
Couple forums in Dutch said the shipped ROM for the Vodafone Desire z in NL was Bravo/Froyo World Wide English
so I located this file:
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_
signed.exe
and attempted reset by running that on a pc.
But the USB connection failed after the unit reset: Error 171, Error 170.
Tried installing HTC Sync AND the Universal boot drivers
and the Android Booloader Driver, as per the helpful advice from Bob Denny at Phandroid. (As a noob, I can't post links here, sorry)
And yep, I disabled anti-virus, had a fully charged phone (I'm hoping you get
the picture here -- I've done my due dilligence and googling before asking for help.) but
nada. RUU rebooted the phone, waited for the bootoader, and either the phone never pings the USB
port to say it's there or the PC doesn't see it.
FINE. I can put a PC10IMG.ZIP on the SD card and dispense with the frustration of messing with windows, right? Well, no.
I extracted ROM.ZIP from the RUU renamed it PC10IMG.ZIP and slapped it in the root
directory of the SD card. I booted to Hboot with the volume down and power buttons, chose
Fastboot and watched the the Zip load (blue verticle progress bar upper right of screen),
check it (brown progress bar upper right), then NOTHING -- back to the Hboot menu.
No error message, and no invitation to
update. Reboot takes me back to screen loop. Normal power-on does the same.
Further searches make me question if this is the right shipped ROM.
The RUU reports that I'm running version 2.42.161.22
(of what? Vision Gingerbread?) and the Bravo/Froyo WWE Rom reported itself to be version 1.59 something.
As this is an S-ON phone, I know I can't roll back to earlier ROMS, and can only install
the exact version as shipped.
So the questions I THINK I need answered:
1. Does anyone know for certain, or know where I can find out, which ROM
shipped with the Vodafone NL Desire-Z in 2010? I can get Kernel source for it at the HTCDev site,
but I see no compiled ROM there -- anything I can do with kernel source?
2. Anyone know where can I get the right PC10IMG.ZIP file to flash the unit from the SD Card? (I tried Shipped-Roms.com and
dozens of google permutations)
3. Is my methodology for flashing the SD Card right or is there anything in the
description above that lends anyone to believe my problem or solution is anything
other than the one I'm obsessing over?
Any help deeply appreciated.

Try again with the PC10IMG.zip, this time don't extract the rom image, flash the entire zip. If this doesn't work you may need to make a goldcard. This means you will need to boot the phone and get into setting to turn debugging on and will will also need to get the proper window drivers up and running in order to use adb. (Try holding the s key on the key pad while powering on, this may keep the bootloop away)

Yeah, sorry wasn't clear I extracted the zip from the RUU, not the rom itself, so I've tried this one already.
Safe boot doesn't boot -- gets me the HTC screen and freezes there. I'll keep trying, as I think gettting debugging on and going gold card may be my only hope if the problem isn't incorrect ROM (or if there's no finding the correct one).
Here's a simpler question: If in my hboot screen I see
VISION PVT SHIP S-ON
Does that mean the shipped ROM was vision gingerbread and that's the only one to try,
or could my wife's "system updates" upgraded the phone from a Bravo shipped ROM?
And when I get a CID Incorrect error on a Vision Gingerbread ROM, does that mean the WWE Vision Gingerbread ROM I tried to install isn't good because it's not Vodafone, or because it's not the shipped ROM?
Any help will be thankfully appreciated!
Sorry it took so long to get back,
ship s-on is referring to you have a shipped bootloader and your security flags are on, that line is not specific to any version of the desire z
You won't be able to flash any ROM like that unless it is an upgrade from current version. I believe if you go to HTC website the latest ruu was not released as an ota and may work for you as its probably newer. If it doesn't work then you will need to get super cid in order to flash something older, which means you need to get adb working

35 ru_partition_not_support recovery

Hello,
I recently picked up an HTC M9 T-Mobile. I have ATT so I decided to go though the steps of unlocking the device via this link. I actually managed to it get done in a relatively short amount of time so I figured 'This is nice, but why not install a custom rom like you did on your m7, same stuff rite?'
I believe i was an idiot and installed a new kernel and firmware in addition to the rom making my IMEI vanish along with most of the important information about my device. I tried HD Rev 20 and ViperOne.
So I RUU back to my correct stock rom, and now I can't get into the twrp recovery. I was under the impression RUU didn't mess with the recovery partition. I've attempted to flash it several times however it shoots back an error : 35 ru_partition_not_support recovery
I have tried searching and searching for the past few hours and I don't know if I'm blind, or if I'm just screwed. I hate asking for help on here, I know the search function work I just can't seem to find this exact issue.
I'd like to just be clear and mention I can actually boot into stock. As well as booting into the bootloader, and adb recognizes the phone. Ironically the device is still 'unlocked' after all of this, however my recovery is missing entirely, I don't even have the original recovery. When I attempt to access the recovery I get a picture of a phone with a red ! inside it.
The RUU I used was 3.39.531.7
Something I feel may or may not be related, when in download mode I see at the bottom:
FILE /mnt/media_rw/ext_sd/0PJAIMG.zip
File NOT FOUND
Click to collapse
I have a feeling this is irrelevant if it has to do with the SD card. I also have a really strange feeling this is something stupid easy that I am missing.
Some additional information, please let me know if I missed something:

I am a dumbass.
I flashed with an older version of twrp and that fixed the issue.
Don't be like me kids.
Which version of twrp worked? I continue to get the same error with every version.

UK HTC 10 EE - No radio signal after flashing custom ROM

Warning, quite often think i'm doing better than i am with this android stuff. So I have a feeling I jumped the gun a bit with my updating to a new ROM and have some how broken my radio signal.
I got the HTC 10 on UK Carrier EE on release and immediately rooted, S-OFF and updated to the 1.30.401.1 firmware which EE was taking their sweet ass time to do as per usual.
Since then i'd not really bothered with anything and had neglected to run any titanium or backups, and I was getting an OTA to 1.80.xxx being offered. Being a bit of a noob i wasn't sure whether to take this OTA (Was this my mistake?) so just took my photos and important bits off the phone to my computer, wiped it and just came and downloaded the latest LeeDroid ROM 2.28.617 and flashed that onto my phone.
All seemed well until i got no signal - "Service State : Radio Off"
So decided to go back to 6.0 and 1.30.401.1 with stock recovery which i downloaded from a source on XDA, perhaps I've flashed the wrong versions?
This is what is displayed in bootlaoder currently,

Is there any other information i can provide that would be helpful? I'm just hoping someone can point me in the right direction, I'm versed at flashing via SD card, just started using adb commands etc
Many thanks for reading and any help you can offer.
Edit:
Dialing *#*#4636#*#*
Pressing Turn On Radio does nothing.
Can no one even offer a thought? Please? I've reflashed various roms/firmwares and nothing-I can get everything working apart from radio signal. Someone please help!
Have you tried a RUU file? You will lose everything in internal memory, but not sd, so remember to backup. Definitely not a signal issue in your location?

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm not worries about stuff on the phone that is long gone! I've tried various RUU but just get ERROR 155: UNKNOWN ERROR
I just tried RUU_PERFUME_WL_M60_SENSE80GP_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.80.617.1
and RUU_PERFUME_WL_N70_SENSE80GP_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_2.28.617.8
I flashed Viper last night and that upgraded my firmware, android version etc but still no signal and no ability to turn it on via #*#*4636*#*#

Perhaps I'm flashing the wrong things/using incorrect RUU due to lack of knowledge.
Is anyone in the UK on EE that could send me a Nandroid or something? I must admit i'm out of my depth here!
Thanks for helping!
