Hi! I have a problem with my G3.
I was listening to music with the back speaker, and suddenly it stopped working. I thought that the music player had stopped for a while, but i noticed that the song was still playing. I tested the volume of ringtones and alarms but they didn't work...i tried also to flash another ROM (it's rooted but never had issues) with a full wipe, but it was useless...
Only The front speaker and The earphones work.
Someone who had this problem and solved it? Please help me, thank you so much

Last night I tried downloading a volume booster app to help with the speaker since I had read some good things. Since then, the speaker has not been working correctly. For ringtones and alarms, the audio works fine. If I try to watch YouTube or listen to Google Music, the speaker does not work. Everything works fine with headphones in.
Does anyone know a way to fix this? I uninstalled the volume booster apps but they are still not working. I'm currently unrooted as an FYI. I tried to just do a factory reset but that wouldn't even go through
I got a C6503 few months ago. It's working perfectly, until this afternoon. I slept listening to music without headphones, and when I woke up, the music has stopped. Not for walkman settings, but the rear speaker stopped working.
I didn't noticed it instantly, but later when I tried to play an audio from whatsapp. I tried a reset via reset button, but it doesn't work. Anyone w/ or seen the same problem before? Or have any knowledge about this type of problem and it's solution?
If there's any errors, sorry. I'm not fluently
Hi everyone, before anyone complains I did search for the problem everywhere and found nothing so I decided to post it here.
I'm going straight to the point since the problem has been driving me mad for a long time.
The problem arises when I use the ear speaker after that the headphones output is totally distorted but not before. I've always managed to do a reboot and everything is back to normal until I use the ear speaker again and the problem comes back. Something strange is that I only notice the distortion on any headphones or headset but never with a speaker such as a bluetooth speaker or via aux cable to my car.
I changed the firmware to various versions (stock and custom), changed the kernel, changed some build.prop settings, disabled the equalizer apps, changed the music player, disabled the Nuplayer and the problem keeps coming back.
Any ideas ?
Thank you for reading, hope someone can help me I'd be really thankful.
No one had this problem ?

Yes, i had it many times also. I think sound doesn't distorts. The reason for that is audio effects (or any other effects) stops working so sound becomes plain with no bass and other things. Some times force stop audio effects works but reboot always.

Guys thank you for this awesome forum i have managed to root many devices and do a lot of great things with the few phones i had, this time however is different i have the D851 LG G3 T-Mobile and the phone does not playback any sound, ill be more specific :
* Any phone music application doesnt playback the music, the app just sits there and doesnt advance in the seconds counter
*The videos do playback but the audio is missing
*due to the missing audio the phone freezes when trying to make a call
*when attempting to record video it comes out as error and does nothing
* when trying to input voice commands it does nothing
* sometimes when trying to change the sound profile the menu freezes going from vibrate to normal sound
* no initial boot sound
Everything else that the phone does works fine like but to put it this way the phone feels just like when we have a pc and the sound card drivers are not installed or corrupted somehow, im not sure if its missing the audio codecs or maybe something else was modified in the system itself.
I already used LG flash tool to restore phone to 30d and im currently trying to restore phone to factory stock 10C
UPDATE 10C or 10R not possible to revert to, gonna try 20E
Update 20E boots up phone but still no sound at all , it is like its disabled
Please help!!!
Hate to bump such an old thread, but been searching high and low, did you happen to find a solution for yours? Have a G3 that does the exact same bit right to a T, tried reflashing Marshmallow, rolled it back to Lollipop with LGUP, runs perfectly fine, sound and all functions were great for a while, and one day it stopped. Plugging in headphones, I see the headphone icon in the status bar, so it recognizes them, but it won't record audio, play audio or do pretty much anything that involves sound.
you can try using viperfx, maybe you or a guest touched the phone and set everything to zero, try that dude. i hope you fixed the problem
No sound, freezes and closes all windows to lock out screen
Currently own an LG G3 D-851 T-mobile. I bought it used and everything seems to work out of the box.
Noticed that there isn't any sound
coming out of the device so tried playing around with the volume levels. The phone froze; went back to lock screen. Unresponsive. After which i had to do a factory restore:victory: and it worked flawlessly.
Was curious if this could be hardware problem so i took it to repair shop.
I was told that the problem lies in the memory (power ic) might be corrupted. Anyone might know how its related to having no sound or video recording capabilities? Plus why it crashes when trying out the sound recording.
Hello. After 5 years with Kitkat 4.4.4 I decided to try latest Lollipop 5.1.1 (14.6.A.1.236) . Everything looks good, but there's completely no sound! Alarms, music or videos, ringing - nothing comes from the loudspeaker. Headset works ok, but nothing from the loudspeaker. If somebody has had such issue, I'll be very appreciated to get some experience. I tried system repair in PC Companion, also plug in and out the headset. I tried some application SoundAbout which fixed such issue on Xperia Z, but nothing solved my issue. Any ideas?
Last night the sounds came just like a magic. I have 2 instagram profiles and I had got just a message notification from the other account. And it came with sound! I did nothing, it came just like that. Very very strange...
This morning after night event the sound disappeared again suddenly just like it had come.
