Hello, after flashing cm12.1 nightlies (all of them from the first), I have a hard time making LTE stick. The phone would boot, go into H+ and remain in this mode. If I manually search for the LTE bearer network of my Vodafone operator, I can then switch to LTE: this change would be lost in the next reboot and H+ would return.
Could you please post your settings in Build.prop?
Mine are:
ro.telephony.default_network=9 (which in my understanding should enable the automatic selection between GSM/HSDPA/LTE)
telephony.lteOnCDMADevice=0
telephony.lteOnGSMDevice=1
Particularly, I remember that stock ROM could connect and maintain LTE, so please anybody in stock condition provide his settings.
Thank you
By returning to stuck, I could determine that the correct settings are:
ro.telephony.default_network=9
telephony.lteOnCDMADevice=0
I hope that Codeworkx sees this message because CM12.1 also has wrong settings that don't allow LTE to stick

Just rooted my Desire using instructions from Modaco, but have the following issue :
I have no data connection. No matter what I try it always tells me 'unable to connect, you need a network connection in order to..... etc. Wifi is off at present (not one around at work) and all the settings are to Vodafone as they should be. Can make/receive calls without issue. It's a fully unlocked phone so no idea why it's suddenly not able to connect data wise. This is the case whether I try to setup Exchange, browse the web or open Facebook etc.
Any ideas please anyone? I've checked all settings, rebooted etc but to no avail.
Someone, somewhere said that in some cases (don't remember which) APNs presets are missing after rooting. Check your APN setting.
1. Make sure your APN settings are 100 correct.
2. Go to Menu--Settings-->Wireless and networks-->Mobile Networks-->Network Mode--Switch to GPRS and then Back to Auto
Worked for me.

Mo
GOod call, it was the APN settings. Added one as below and all connected straight away :
Name : Vodafone
APN : Internet
Username : web
Password : web
Cheers guys

Are you using a Branded or UnBranded Desire??
see this thread for more info
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696189
But at a guess you might need a GoldCard and then Flash it with a new ROM/Radio settings
Phone: m919
Rom: CM11 Nightlies 2/4/14
Carrier: AT&T
Modem: Mk2 baseband w/Mdl non-hlos
I have searched and tried methods of trying to get LTE working by *#*#4636#*#* and selecting LTE/GSM auto (PRL) but the setting never sticks and it reverts back to GSM auto (PRL). I have also tried under settings/mobile networks/preferred network type to LTE/GSM/WCDMA and that always reverts to GSM/WCDMA auto. I also have tried different APN settings "ATT Phone" should be right although I have tried ATT LTE pta and ATT wap.cingular.
When I select the LTE options I do receive an LTE signal until I make a phone call or lose signal/reboot. It then switches to Hspa+ and never automatically back to LTE.
I first thought it was a hardware issue but I tried a GPE rom and LTE worked great! Too bad GPE isn't CM
I'm bummin... any ideas?
LTE issues fixed with CM11 jfltetmo nightly 2/7/14! :victory:
Hello
After reboot phone setup wcdma/gsm network priority. There is also problem with changing to lte/wcdma/gms , you cannot click it directly, need first click like gsm and then lte to make it active.
Using official lolipop , IL customization
Anyone noticed 4G/LTE problem on Lolipop ?

I'm having the same problems, but I finally get LTE working
Same for me. But I don't have LTE yet. So didn't bother too much.
maybe you can try this:
FIX 4G PROBLEMS
edit build.prop
- look for 'telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0' and change it to 'telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1'
look for 'ro.semc.version.fs=GLOBAL-HSPA' and change it to 'ro.semc.version.fs=GLOBAL-LTE'
reboot your phone
type *#*#4636#*#*
Select phone informations (first menu)
turn off radio
in network prefered I've selected TD-SCDMA, LTE, CDMA, EvDO GSM/WCDMA
turn on radio again
exit
type *#*#4636#*#* again and look in network prefered, it will be on LTE/GSM auto (PRL) and 4G should be there

I have the same issue since i hard-reset the phone.

Hi, I did all the steps except the ro.semc one, because there is no such setting in my build.prop. However I still wasn't able to get 4g working, it just keeps switching back to the old settings.. Any ideas? Running cm12.1 android 5.1.1
Re issue with LTE/4G
Hello,
i got my phone back from SONY's technical services, cause i had a bunch of issue (i sent it twice in a month).
For now, the battery drain isseu seems to be fixed, but i do not have 4G/LTE.
I already encounter this issue, and after the service menu manipulation, everything got back in order.
I tried to do the same manipulations, but i can't turn off radio. It's like it was locked.
Any ideas ?
Thanks for helping.

Worked for me,cheers.
Hi,
i'm currently running the latest CM13 and have a problem with the Preferred network type. It stays on "LTE (recommended)" and i can't change it to 3G or 2G. In Phone information (*#*#4636#*#*) it stays on "GSM only" and won't change to anything.
When i go back to LG's Stock 6.0 all changes work. With previous versions of CM13 (first 5 versions i think) it works also.
Does anyone have any idea?

I have the same issue on my LG G4 h815. I cleanly flashed the latest nightly of CM13 (cm-13.0-20160102-NIGHTLY-h815.zip), after first upgrading to the stock 20A image and installed TWRP. I flashed CM13 using TWRP. Then I flashed nano gapps. H+ is the fastest cell tech here, and my phone just can't use the cell network (it seems to connect, but never shows H+ and no data bits are routed). And when I went into the menu to select 3G as the preferred network, it won't let me change it from LTE. It clicks when I choose 3G and 2G, but the selection stays on LTE. When I go into the special menu for radio options, same thing, I can't select a different network mode (it simply stays on the current selection). Wifi works just fine, but cell phone use doesn't work -- no calls, no data. I also upgraded to the next nightly, but it didn't make any difference in behavior.
@Chipstepper Can you tell me which CM13 image worked? I'm going to try cm-13.0-20151125-NIGHTLY-h815.zip ..
Same Problem here on my Moto X 2014. I tried every CM13 nightly between Christmas and early January. I was never able to change the Radiobutton in Preferred Networks and connection in phone information was always GSM only. I also tried a clean flash of the cm-13.0-20160108 nightly, still the same problem.
Now I switched back to my CM12.1 backup where it's working.
Can somebody name a nightly where it's confirmed working?
When i bought D855p it came with 4.4, then i updated to 5.1, all official. After this i installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 and everything were fine. But when i installed 6.0(poland) my network signal keeps droping the intire day, it changes to UMTS and HSPA. I cant use my phone as a phone. The only way to solve this is, every time that i turn off the cel or put in airplane mode, is enter in MOBILE NETWORKS > NETWORK OPERATORS > SEARCH NETWORKS and choose GSM. (but i need to do this EEEEEVERY TIME that my cel turns off/airplane mode).
6.0 is the only ROM that i can choose GSM and the signal keep ~stable~. At least i can use my phone as a phone !
I did a backup of my IMEI before installing cm12 as well.
Things that i already tried :
-Flash ALL modem (ALL) , including 21C.
-intall cm13 and after cm12. Using TWRP 2.8 and 3.0.
-stock 4.4 , 5.0 , 5.1 and again 6.0. Using LGFlashTools
-MANY factory resets and wipes !
anybody can help me ? :good:
Same issue. I am on stock 4.4 and mobile network signal keeps dropping on weak signal area. I set to gsm/edge mode to mobile network. But nothing goes fine.

Doesn't work , sadly :crying:
i also tried to put in Network mode : GSM/WCDMA ( worked ) but when i choose GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto , signal drops every time. It is a solution to do this, but i cant use my LTE, and it sucks ...
Disable VOLTE n go to ur models service menu (check google) for me it was
*#546368#*851# (my model = d851)
*#546368#*XXX# (ur model=D8XX) verizon sprint numbers are differently
go to field test >network mode>set GSM permanently (try different gsm 850,990,etc)
Back > RAT selection > select GSM
U cant have network problems now cuz ur permanently set to gsm dont use 3g or 4g use wifi
hit like it helps

I'm sad to hear that. Try also flashing modem 21C. There are also other guides for restoring your signal around the forum, different things seem to work for different people.
