Using Nova Launcher Prime 4.1.0, with Tesla Unread for 4.0.1. I have several email accounts on the phone, one an exchange account, a Gmail and a POP account. I have in the past set up the exchange account and the Gmail account to display the unread counts properly. However, I recently added the POP account, and can not for the life of me figure out how to add the email account to my desktop with the unread count. Every time I add the unread count widget to the screen, it default to the gmail account, and displays that accounts unread count. Is there a way to set the widget to default to the POP account?
Thanks
Same problem here, but with only 2 accounts (Exchange and Gmail).
Could you tell me how you did that in the past?

instead of using the default google mail app can you add your google mail to the other app called mail? i say this because i like the layout of the mail app on my widget screen.
thanks
Yes, just use the gmail-IMAP settings
thanks i have it set up
Hmm...
It will still sync the contacts?
not sure about contacts but as soon as i entered my google email on the startup my google contacts were added automatically to my phone contacts list.
When you set up Gmail during the set up process, it syncs the phone to google.
when you set it up in the mail app, it ONLY gets the mail.
if you had not set up the google mail account during the set up and only set it up in mail, then you wouldn't have your contacts.
I believe you can just go under Sync in the Settings menu and disable mail then use Mail for IMAP, best of both worlds .
Does the IMAP use IMAP Idle? If not is it true K9 Mail has better IMAP idle support but has anyone used it?
HI, i am getting my G2 next week. I was wondering if there an app that have push unread hotmail count? I know there is one for gmail, but cant find one for hotmail. I have 2 hotmail account. Thanks inadvance
You can use ADW Notifier.
It has an unread count for K-9 mail which you can configure to work with your Hotmail accounts.
Also, there is an option that allows you to enable notifications for any application but from my experience, it doesn't work well with the native Email app. It shows a question mark in place of the unread count for me.
so i have multiple emails. One is google but the other 2 are POP/IMAP accounts for work/school. in wp7 and iOS, there are options for a unified inbox (linked account in wp7) that displays all of your emails together. on my old android phone, i had to use a separate application to view my POP/IMAP accounts, and then switch back over into gmail to view my gmail stuff.
is there a unified/linked inbox in android 4.0? if so, how does it work and can someone post some photos?
and before anyone says "just add your IMAP account into gmail", i'm well aware of this function but sometimes its better to leave your work/school and private emails separate.
"sometimes its better to leave your work/school and private emails separate"
Then just use the Gmail app for your personal email and the Email app for the other accounts.
To answer your question, no I don't believe there is a unified inbox in ICS.
Sadly, that is why so many opt for 3rd party mail clients, I want a single inbox to manage my mail.
You could connect to your gmail account over imap, which would give you a unified inbox. It's just not quote as polished as the dedicated gmail client.
I have a yahoo email account and a gmail email account. I can't get either to work anymore in the S3 stock email application.
Yahoo email keeps telling my my password is incorrect. This problem is happening on my S3, my Nexus and my wifes iphone with her email account. We can log in fine from a computer.
Gmail in the stock email application from samsung won't delete emails in IMAP. I delete them and they come right back on refresh. In POP, if I read them, they disappear on next refresh. IMAP email works fine in GMAIL application but GMAIL app sucks. No pinch to zoom.
Any ideas?
Does Zooper support reading #SUG# from non-GMAIL secondary email accounts in GMAIL 5? I can't get it working, #SUG1# still shows only the primary GMAIL account.
