I don't think you need to be worried about that, any pair should work.

PS. I can't believe people still us "normal" earphones instead of in-ear.

Trust me.. I would LOVE to use in-ear headphones, but non are fitting my ears (also my left auditory canal is smaller than my right) and a custom-built model is too expensive I think.

Same here, my left canal is smaller.
I just use a small earbud on the left and a medium one on the right. fits perfectly

also i cant stand in ear although I do like that Apple/S6 ones which are a bit of both
Sennheiser make excellent earphones. I've found their MX series to be quite good and have used two pairs of MX270s over the past seven years.
I've also heard that the Xiaomi earphones are good

Brainwavz m2 are an excellent choice. I recently bought them and I totally love them. They also come with variety of eartips and a pair of comply foam tips.

If you can use earbuds (technically not an in-ear driver and they are claimed to fit very well in many ears) definitely check out Sonys sbh70.

I dont see why they wouldn't, I've been looking at these:
http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheise...ivate_headsets_mobile_music_502841?Open&row=2
But ouch at the price, same with those Klipsch ones, wow!
Just done a bit more research and I dont think the Klipsch ones will work with anything not Apple.
Image S4i FAQs
Will the Image S4i work with any cell phone?
The Image S4i is designed to work seamlessly with the iPhone 3GS. It will work with the iPhone 3G and first generation iPhone, but with limited functionality. The S4i’s volume up and down feature will not work on these older products. Because the S4i features an Apple chip, we cannot guarantee what level of functionality it will have with other cell phone brands.
dam thats a real shame, any how those headphones had top reviews and customer ratings. I know its a bit steep but worth a bit more i think.
I'll let you know how I get on with the Sennheiser's on this thread in good time.. anything you find out post here too please... I'm not happy at all with the set that are included so eager to upgrade asap.
guys dont waste money on them,.
Get the NuForce NE-7M
they are awesome headphones and the it has a mic built in
for half of the price, people say best IEMs for under $50 along with the Imetal 590s which you should also look at. as they both sound as good as more expensive headphones
Thankyooooo!
Most important accessory be the handsfree and you've just solved it for me
hope the button to answer calls works.. I dont mind not having volume control
They are good for Bass music so everything apart from classical
for something less bassy get the Maximo IP-HS2.
Another vote for the nuforce - they sound better than the klipsch - well worth it and the button works as does the Mic...

SKs are really quite bad, if your used to cheap headphones then they will be ok sounding but if u heard NE7/NE6 or soundmagic pl50 or maximo im590/hs2 then you would never go back.
I got the (Logitech) Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220vi
They work perfectly as they only have 1 single button:
- Press: Accept/End call or Play/Pause music while playing.
Great bass and an acceptable (sealed) in-ear fit (there are 3 sizes, I needed the largest)

Regards the Nuforce, just to check, they provide identical controls to the original ones that come with the handset?
I'm looking for a good pair of earbuds and speakers for my android HTC Amaze 4g. For the earbuds, I'd like something that's comfortable, has great sound, and preferably has music controls + not so easy to tangle wire. I'd like to keep it under $100 for these.
For the speakers, I'm looking for something that has great quality sound and is portable (and uses bluetooth). I don't need the loudest speakers around, but I want something that sounds good. I also want something that looks good/stylish. I'd like to get something around the $150 range or below. I don't really want to spend more than $150 on this.
I've checked out a few things, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. If you know of any products that sound like a match for what I'm looking for (earbuds or bluetooth speakers or both), please let me know.
Thanks!
I would go for earbuds Sennheiser CX 300, great sound for good price
X-mini II capsule for speakers, most deffo. It is loud enough for indoor/outdoor use
Best Buy had Etymotic hf'3 on clearance for 78.99 the last few weeks. These are earbuds and they usually retail for $180 to $200 (just noticed Amazon has them for about $130). One caveat, they are meant to go pretty far in the ear canal to make a proper "seal". The hf3's do have an inline mic and music control worked for me on rezound, so not sure about the amaze.
I've got a pair of Shure SE215s and they're fantastic. They wrap around the ear, come with foam and silicon tips, and have a replaceable cable. They're around $100 though, so you'd be pushing your budget.
Along with being able to replace it the cable, they sell a single(generic) and triple(iOS) button inline control cable to go with them.
The only off-putting thing might be their sound signature. It's definitely grown on me but being used to a neutral sound from my HD25-1 IIs their sound was rather different from my norm.
On a cheaper note, you could also get a pair of Klipsch Image S4s. They're rather popular and are quite light, and have three versions: standard, iOS inline, and Android inline. Something that I personally didn't care for was the bloated bass and thin cord on them. The Shure buds definitely have a thicker, more quality cable.
Of course, 'erryone'll recomend the Sennheiser CX 300s. They're on par in terms of popularity and price with the Image S4s, however I haven't tried 'em myself so I can't comment on them really.

I can definitely confirm that, they are hands down the best in-Ears for around 100$ if you are searching for something reliable.
You wear them a bit the different than most in-Ears, since they are designed as on-stage monitors.
But when you get used to them, you never want to miss them.
You should also know that they are a bit bass heavy and not perfectly neutral, but you can compensate a lot with the equalizer, since they react to an equalizer better than normal in-Ears.

I also own the CX 300s, thy do a great job for the price but the SE215s are a different class, i mean for 25$ the CX300s have a decent performance but the SE215s are way better.
So if you have the money, go for the SE215s, you won't regret it.

Precisely the reason I listed them first.
And while they aren't bass shy, the bass on them isn't nearly as bloated as the Image S4s. Easily much better.

Thats true, based on your preferenced style they do a good to superb job.
But they are so fragile, you would expect them to be better manufactured judging by the price.
I'm wary about them working very long, when used everyday.

There are there major issues:
1. The cables are crap, they break so easily at the 3.5mm jack.
You can buy a replacement, since they say its not included in their warranty, which run around 40$ and also won't last long.
Check out their facebook page or some reviews and you will see that a lot of people have this problem.
2. On some models the connector within the actual in-Ears becomes lose, which is also isn't included in the warranty, since they say it is caused by excessive stress.
However this also can happen while just using them carefully, which is rather annoying for the price you pay.
3. Some people claim that the outer cover fell after a while and they had to glue it back onto. I can't confirm on that but it seems possible to me.
Sounds really good for that price.... not..
they make this speaker that sticks to any hallow item such as a box. The bigger it is, the louder the sound gets.

That is funny, because I have a good experience with them. After my previous UE failed (after three years!), I upgraded to these superfi's, and have those for half a year already, putting them in my pockets wrapped around my iPod everywhere i go. They sound amazing, way better then those shures.
If you decide to go for the etymotics, it is important to know that the bass will be a lot less then from more lively in ears like these superfi's, or the cx-300's.
Personally I think that they are good for the price. Because you can, in my country, order them online for €200 while they sell in retail for €400. I mean the only competing products sound wise are a lot more expensive. Examples are the shires 530, and the ie80's, both of which exeed the €400 mark here.
I got some Bob Marley in ears I bought one day, really awesome, like 40 bucks I think its pretty reasonalble

Of course they sound better than the single driven SE215's, however the UE's are still twice as expensive as the Shure's and he asked for earbuds that coast less than 100.
It does not change my recomendations, for less than 30 go for the CX300's.
If you want to spend up to 100 the SE215's are the way to go.
From there on you should take a look at doubel/tripple driven in-ears like the UE's triple.fi 10 / SE425 / SE535 / Um3x / IE 80 / whatever.
However in this region you should seriously consider the limitation of your phone's DAC and amplifier circuit.
I have a pair of HTC RC E240 ear trumpets
Can anyone tell me what 3rd party brands of earbuds are compatible are compatible with it.
At the moment I'm using some old Philips buds, and if I pull them out of my ear too quickly, the buds are left behind
I've not used the original buds and they seems too flimsy.

Almost all earbuds will be compatible, i lost my original earbuds but i am still using seperate earbuds that came with it on sennheiser cx400 cx200 , philips o'neill and samsung s3,s4 earphones. (Not with all at the same-time ) so reverse is highly possible with a 1-2$ earphone or you can buy them seperately at ebay, amazon etc..

For anyone who's looking for cheap buds, the LG Quadbeats 3 sound pretty good. They actually sound better than my Bose IE2s because of the great isolation on a high quality source. They came with my G4 and sounded so cheap. Perfect example of the 10 making cheap buds sound amazing.

A decent pair of earbuds, the Klipsch R6. Can't go wrong with, especially if you buy the Isolation Comply Tips. You'll get some great sound from them. That's the combo I use.
Got the RHA MA750 a few days ago. Very pleased. Phenomenal clarity and balance overall. A little less bassy and warm than I was expecting though. Although I've read they get better after a good break in period.
Thinking about trying the Shure se215s just to compare.
Still keeping the MA750s regardless though, between comfort and build quality they're well worth the price.
i have shure se215s, very nice, detachable cable, bit bass heavy but very durable.

Just received these myself and the sound quality is phenominal once you get the set dialed in with the right tips.
However, I think the button functions dont work properly, or mine are broken. Do your button controls work properly?
Top button works for Vol+
Middle button is stop/start, 2 presses nothing. three presses next track
Bottom button does nothing.
Im gonna contact 1more but am curious if yours work ok.

A short update on the 1more Triple drivers. Support said that the inline button issues were fixed for android on their titanium color set. Apparently the black/gold have not been fixed yet (old stock?).
They offered to switch them out for me. Sucks cause I dont really want that color, but for $100 I want them to work properly. And they sound incredible so I'll deal.
For now, if anyone plans to buy them, get titanium color if you want the inline controls to work properly. I asked them on eta for corrections to black stock. Will update if I lean more.
I came from using sure's, xiaomi piston 2 and dual drivers, and sennheiser momentum in ears. These 1more triples shatter those in comparison of sound quality. I mean its not even a contest. Ive heard $1,500 cans that sound worse.

Yea. 1more currently makes all of the xiaomi piston range and dual drivers. I have them all. Its what convinced me to try the triple drivers. In comparison to the dual drivers the triples are really 10x better sound quality. Not knocking any of the xiaomi range. At their price points they are all the best there is in the low end $ range, ......by far. I personally think the Piston 2's are fantastic, although base heavy.
As an aside, I also have thr JBL reflect and the HiRes HTC's. Guys, they are not even close to being anything near the right quality to take advantage of the DAC and amp on the 10. Rhey sound horrible. I'd rather use my non aptx photive bth3's than those.
My replacement 1mores's should be here tomorrow. I'll update on whether the controls actually work right on the 10.

Should've specified, Everywhere in the world except US had premium earphones in the box!
There must be one or two of you guys who regularly drive everywhere and have these little bad boi's stored in the box still!
NAME YOUR PRICE!
How much do those headphones even retail for? I've always been curious as to what price-point they're being valued at.

I couldn't tell you they aren't exactly for sale on the site
Just buy Shure SE215 cause the HiRes earphones by HTC are total crap. I used them once and said OMG they worthless.
Yeah unless you can find someone who hasn't opened them and are willing to give them away for <$30 when they haven't even been priced yet by HTC. I'd say your chances are slim.
+1 buy yourself some real hi-res earbuds you won't regret it.

I'm in the market for some solid wired hi-res earbuds with microphone so I can take calls... what do you recommend?

Check out theheadphone list of IEMs. Amazing reviews on hundreds of earbuds. I went with the RHA MA750s and i'm absolutely in love with them
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
I personally love my shure se215s.
How much are you willing to spend? If you want a pair of budget IEMs then I would suggest the Xiaomi Piston 3. They can be had for less than 20 and are some of the best in the price bracket, assuming you don't get a fake pair. They also have an inline mic which play/pause and volume buttons that work with the HTC 10

+1 to this.. I bought the Piston III's and use them for conference calls while on the road away from home, as well as music. Solid pair!
You could always grab some Senheiser IE80's I have a set of Shure SE215's, and they aren't spectacular, but they are good.
