Hi all
Just need a little technical help here
I am making a script to odex a ROM
Currently the only way of odexing a ROM is by doing it on the phone (pushing the files to the phone and executing them there)
I have made a script which will extract a ROM to a folder, odex it, and let you compress/sign/flash it.
The problem :
It seems that deoxpt-wrapper (the module which odexes the files) is a binary file and therefore can not be executed. I assume only the Android OS can use this module which is why it can not be done on computer? Does this mean that odexing can only be done on a phone?
This is the code I am having trouble with:
Code:
~/resources/dexopt-wrapper $filename `echo $filename | sed 's/\(.*\.\)apk/\1odex/'`
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thx in advance

Hello,
im trying to get the config.gz for my ze551ml because im following this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338179 . The file is not in /proc/, so i downloaded the kernel source from here: www[dot]asus[dot]com/gr/support/Download/39/1/0/12/HRi9R6lem9YbiPVX/8/ but i cant really figure out how to extract the config file.
Also i cant really figure out how to compile the sourcecode from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...-unofficial-cyanogenmod-12-1-nightly-t3164144
I downloaded the android_device_asus_Z00A from the repo, how do i compile it?
Whenever i try to execute the setup-makefiles.sh it tells me i have missing files.
Please help me!

I need someone with some technical knowledge here.
I have an LDV G10 Executive (SAIC Maxus G10)
I have the update.zip for the new update but I want to throw in a couple of apps into the update file (file manager, some kind of map app, maybe a few other things), but I don't know what I need to do to resign the file etc.
I want to be able to also know if I should be able to use a modified update.zip file to throw in some apps to my T60 as well. They are using a very different version of the launcher and don't know what I need to find out. I am happy to work with someone to give them the information I need to find out what I need to do. I will not be posting the updater publicly but happy to share it with someone who can help me.
Did you work out how to resign it? Does it even need signing?
Would you be able to upload the update.zip?
how did you go with this?
