need stock rom for lg gpad - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a lg gpad f8.0 and was wondering if someone had a stock wifi/celluar firmware that i can flash. I'm having some issues ever since i try to do this boot animation it messed up my boot and now lose half my screen the only way to get the screen back to normal is through factory reset but if i reboot the device it does it again.
It's att lg gpad f8.0 firmware im on is 5.0.2

rom
I too am looking for this rom. it does not seem like ATT likes to release any of their ROMs. I am almost tempted to just buy another one and see if i can extract the firmware from it and just resell it, or give it to my daughter for use.

so AT&T V495? Are you rooted? I might be able to get you the stock boot animations but I'm having an issue with recovery. Can you install Flashify and make a backup of your stock recovery and send a copy to me? I can copy the factory boot animation files and send them if you want to give it a shoot. Let me know... Thanks - Bryan

[LG-E977]Need help, kinda bricked, can't KDZ

Hey guys, i need a little of help because i've never seen what happened to me, i will explain the entire process:
I have an E977 from Movistar Venezuela, it came with 4.2.1, after check everything was working at perfection (wifi, bluetooth, heat, etc.) i decided to root and unlock bootloaders to get into cyanogenmod 10.1 (i had a 4x HD and its very smooth with cm) so i used freegee to unlock bootloaders, installed TWRP and flashed the rom, everything perfect for a month or so, i saw the update of Paranoid Android to 4.3 and wanted to give it a shot so i downloaded it and the gapps, went into recovery, did my backup, wiped and flashed, everything working perfect but i didn't like it so i went into recovery again, did my wipes and perfomed the restore of my backup.
Now, i have a bootloop, the phone normaly showed the LG logo for about a second, turn the screen off, then on again and the OS started to load, but now i just see the logo, the screen turns of but it's not coming back -_-U i've tried to restore again and again and nothing, did wipes and tried to Paranoid Android again with no results, also tried with cm10.1, no results.
I can access the recovery and download modes, followed the guides provided here but i can't KDZ because the original firmware it's more than 1gb and the LG tool can't handle these files.
I read there's a mode to push files via adb when in TWRP, is there a way to "transform" the kdz into some file the TWRP can handle ? do i still have hope ?? I really need help, if you can help me, i will appreciate.
P.D. Also, i would like to know of there's a way to lock the bootloaders again so i can get the phone to warranty! In the worst case...
Did you try the LG Support Tool? It downloads and install the proper KDZ when entering into Emergency Mode.
A way is to restore a backup from another e977.
Another way would be if someone with an e977 would dump his rom to make a flashable zip.
Can't you try lg mobile tool?just put the phone in download mode and see if the tool detects it...

Sprint LG LS980 (OptimusG2) stuck in download mode or stock recovery

Hi all. I'm not a novice when it comes to rooting and flashing but I'm stuck on this one. A friend of mine tried to install CM11 on this phone, the LS980 and somehow really jacked it up. It's stuck in a bootloop, but I can get into download mode and stock recovery. All data has been wiped. I have tried using the LGFlash tool to install the stock tot and dll but it fails. It fails because the the tool says the file is the wrong model for the phone. Here's the thing, its not. But somehow the phone now thinks its a D802 instead of an LS980. (This happened during the CM11 attempt somehow) The flash tool fails every time. I even tried the D802 files and it started to flash but failed about a 1/4 of the way through. That confirms that the phone definitely thinks its a D802, weird. When I hook it up to the LG Support tool, it tells me the phone is a testmodel!
Needless to day I've tried everything I know how. ADB sideloads, different recoveries, and I've researched for hours on end. I have hope that there's still a solution. I would be golden if I could get a recovery on it, either TWRP or CWM. Any help is appreciated.
have the same problem. simply cant recover the recovery.
My recovery for e988 g pro in lg g2. I try everything for fix the recovery but cant help it. Is there any way to re build recovery?

[Q] Help Unrooting!

Please don't refer me to any more threads or forums........
I'm sure this has been done and done and talked about but I've been reading the **** out of forums and comments for a few hours now and trying to unroot my Sprint LG G2.
I had it running stock like a champ. rooted it. worked great. then I was attempting to flash lollipop and it required a recovery update (No Problem) I downloaded the correct files and bam! it says your phone is not rooted this requires a root (or something like that) I was already rooted SuperSU installed and root checker said I was fine. so what the hell I swipe to root while inside recovery and it goes to some black screen with tiny text saying fastboot: processing commands and won't leave the screen. I tried booting into recovery and same thing happens. Tried to reboot normal and I'm stuck on the LG logo with my led flashing between blue and green slowly. I CAN boot into download mode and I'm following this

and this

to unbrick but having this error "Failed PreviousLoad()
Did I not get the right .dll file? I doubt it cause I only saw one...or is it the wrong .tot file? there was 3 or so

Please help!
When i'm in download mode the phone does say I am rooted. is there a way to just re-flash recovery and restore from my backups I did before all this? if I have to wipe this thing clean and start over I don't really mind I just need to get my phone back haha this is the first time this has ever happened to me and I consider myself tech savvy so idk what I did here (except re rooting in recovery like an idiot) thanks so much!
First question, is the download mode you see with a small status bar or the big one?
If you have the big one, download mode should work. The f flash software will verify the tot file. If that goes through you should be golden.
When it asked you in TWRP to root, that is a message telling you system or ROM file did not take.
If you want cm12, use zv8 tot. Root, auto-rec, update TWRP with blastgator bumped TWRP 2.5.1. Flash cm ROM or aosp, then gapps. And go

Recover files from lg g2 bricked

So this is not my first time bricking my lg g2 ls980, I know I can go and flash the stock firmware but this time I don't want to lose the files on it because I have some important ones, the thing is my phone have the recovery 'secure booting error' and I CAN boot to download mode, I was using the rom 5.1.1 ressurection remix but I decidec to switch to cloudy g3 3.3 and when I tried to install the kk bootloader using a tool (this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/d802-bootloader-changer-1-1-jb-kk-lp-t3104380) I didn't check a thing in the end (I don't remenber at all but I think it was to flash a custom twrp to prevent what happened to me) so now I have really good looking useless phone. (I have a nandroid backup on the phone too to prevent any problem except the one with the twrp )
I just want one of these 2 thing:
1-being able to flash a working twrp recovery via download mode or somehow (I really don't care the how)
or
2-A way to recovery my files before flashing the stock firmware
I know I may sound greedy but I really need those files and I know if I can do one of the 2 methods above, I'll be able to get those files.
Thanks in advance.
ps: if need more specific information, don't hesitate to ask

[LG Gpad 8.3 v500] Only boots into recovery - Need help to restore stock

My gpad was running stock firmware (4.4.2) with a custom recovery (TWRP V2.8.6.0) and against my better judgment I accepted an OTA update. After installing the update the tablet would only boot into recovery mode. I tried installing a custom ROM but no matter what I do the tablet boots back into recovery. At this point, all I can think to do is return the tablet to the stock firmware and remove TWRP.
If someone could link me to a tutorial or a post on this forum that tells me how to completely return the tablet to stock I'd really appreciate it.
In TWRP's Advanced menu, choose File Manager, navigate to root/cache/fota and delete the files that are in there. That'll get rid of the OTA.
To keep OTAs away forever, delete the folder root/bin/lge_fota. At least that's what it is on the VS985 G3 and VK810 G Pad 8.3. You may also have to delete the LGFOTA folder/app in root/system/priv-app.
To return to stock I just wrote up another post about how to do that on the VK810, all LG devices are similar. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/help/help-flashed-incorrect-rom-vk810-t3253261/post63922431#post63922431
The drivers will be different, and on the V500 you apparently have to hold both volume buttons instead of just the Up Volume button as it is on the VK810. Everything else will be the same except you'll need a KDZ made for your V500.
Would be interested to know how the original poster got on with those instructions. With the same issue, also on a V500 running stock firmware, I deleted the contents of root/cache/fota, but couldn't find root/bin/lge_fota or similar, and the same with trying to find LGFOTA or similar in root/system/priv-app. Still can't boot into anything but TWRP recovery. :crying:
Update, after 2 hours: followed the solution from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590185 but using the up-to-date USB driver and LG mobile support tool from http://www.lg.com/uk/support-mobile/lg-LGV500#software. Lost root, but do at least have a working tablet again.
