i have the same problem, the battery decharged fast and my usb port was dammaged so i changed both. after i turned it on again with the new battery and charging port this error occurs. battery temperature too low to charge, also the battery goes from 55% to 0 in 5 mins, i checked every thing a few times now, i unplugged everything and put it back together. each time the battery is "full" again with 54%...53% etc, the second time it went from 54% to 0% also in 5 mins. when i turned it the third time on, after unplugging everything and puitting it back together it had 53% and went down again very fast. and if i try to charge it the error is there. does somebody know what to do?

Desire Battery Voltage Issue

Hi all,
I've been having issues with my phone lasting nowhere as long as my girlfriends identical one,
I installed Quick System Info on both phones, Killed all tasks.. Not only is my display duller than hers on the lowest setting using the power control widget but the voltage on my battery is 3737mV while hers is 4071mV..
Is this cause for concern?
Update, forgot to mention, this is from a full charge on both handsets.
Sounds like your battery is fu#ked!
There seems to be an issue with the way android reports the battery voltage. If I leave my phone on the charger until the light goes green and the indicator says 100%, the voltage will often report between 4.146v - 4.156v.
Upon unplugging the phone would drop to 99% and 4.125v almost immediately.
I noticed the other day that after leaving the battery on the charger overnight the voltage was reporting as 4.206v and I was able to use the phone for over 15min before it dropped to 99% from 100%.
Minimum voltage before your phone powers off is around 3.6v - 3.650v. So 3.737 is pretty close to the cut-off point. The OS is may report 100% charge but your battery is not holding charge.
I had a battery on a different device that was like this. The battery had collapsed. I could charge it for 24hrs and it would not make a difference. Within 30min of use or 1 phone call it would die.
Does your battery have any bugles, bumps or protrusions? This is often a sign of a collapsed battery.
Edit: Don't write when you're tired, silly things come out of your fingers! Soz!
have you tried to swap batteries between the two phones. That will exclude either your phone or the battery from being faulty.
Yes, after scratching my head for a few days I did eventualy come up with the genius idea of putting the battery from the other phone into my phone!! and after charging it up, set it down for an hour and then checked and the battery was on 98% !!
So it looks like there is something wrong with my battery, This morning I woke up and my phone had been charging for 7 hours and was fully charged, I looked at the battery meter and it said 100%, I turned the phone off then back on and checked again.. 90% ???? WTF ??? just from turning the phone off and on?

Battery indicator inaccurate boost, anyone else with this problem?

My battery indicator (in status bar) likes to increase each time I restart my device. Does anyone else have this issue?
I am charging and the indication shows as charging plus the percentage is increasing like normal. However, when I restart the device it shows more than charge percent. For instance, show 56 % but after restart device shows 82 or more than 92. Thank a lot in advance for taking your time to reply
I've tried searching to see if it's a common problem, but I haven't been able to find others with the same issue with Artemis
My Rom: Touch_4.02_Vanilla
I've the same issue, and I guess its normal.
hmmmm...well..for past one year...i have my 100% battery accuracy.
Have you noticed when charging its getting charge slowly and draining is also extremely fast after restart because its showing more than whats charged.. Maybe i guess its my battery got screwed up

Thanks dude for the reply.....relieved to know that its not my device nor rom....else I would be spending time trying to flash roms and roms.....till i buy another battery Ill stick to ur tip ' Device Off While Charging"

Battery charge from 80% to 100%=(

Hi, sry for my english=(
When i charge my battery its normally charge to 80% and then becomes 100%.
Try calibrate battery but this doesnt help. Also try another roms and kernels.
Is it a battery issue?
U can buy new battery from DEALEXTREME.com
so its the only way?
Try this.
Charge battery to full. Leave plugged in, Turn off fastboot in power settings and shut phone off. Light will turn orange again and let it charge til green. Boot into recovery and wipe battery stats. After this let the battery drain as low as 10% before recharging to full without unplugging. Do this a few times over a few days. If you don't get more accurate percentages after this then the battery could be messed up.

thx i will try.
i have the exact same issue. i have done battery stat wipe..flashed multiple roms over and over with full wipe and all that. battery charges up to 80% then the LED turns green..and stays that way till it reaches 100%. it jumps from 80% to 100% in just a few minutes.
battery jump
I wouldn't worry Lendlord mine does the same (see attached pic) you can see the green line jumps up from 80 to 100 but doesn't jump down from 100 to 80 under use. The picture is taken from Battery monitor widget, it's a great app which shows mv, ma, % and temp and even keeps a text log of what ma drain there has been allowing you to monitor battery drain while you're using your phone or while it is sleeping.
Here's a great guide aswell of how to ensure best battery life by memnoc:

so thats mean that some battaries have the same issue=( And there is no solution for it...
HTC failed again...
first GPS and now the battery. Bad, very bad!
And one more request.
Can someone post your current widget log?

I have the same thing happen to mine, i think its because you've let your DHD die due to low battery levels and that damages the battery which i think causes this problem
..letting the phone shut off because of a completely discharged battery is NOT good for the lifetime of Li-ION batteries.
The battery could be hurt and the amount of mAh the battery is able to store might be lower after.
Also trying to 'pump' the battery to fully charge by connecting / disconnecting while the phone is down is not a good advice because li-ion batteries also don't like overcharging.
To be sure that the battery is fully charged due to its ability it is sufficient to let the phone be conectet to charger or usb overnight.
Android uses the voltage of the battery to estimate (!) the % charge value.
Android supposes the battery is fully charged when it enters the voltage of about 4.2 Volt which is the charging cut-off voltage for li-ion cells.
Now when charging again the conceded voltage is reached more quickly than estimated by android, so the system is 'surprised' of this rapid charge and changes the % value to 100% because the conceded voltage is reached more quicklyy as supposed.
(Try to fill a 0.5ltr beer bottle into a 0.33 glass)
This is the normal of aging for li-ion batteries.
Consider for yourself if it's acceptable for you or if you should by a new battery.
by the way... be careful with cheap china batteries for 10$.
Offers with exaggerated values (up to 1600mAh) will mostly keep their promises
only for the first two or three charges only and will than fall back to 800 mAh or even less !
Greetz
Pudel
Yeah...
My battery started to do the same thing for a week or two. It will charge to 86% then it jumps to 100%, saying it's charged.
This is normal afaik, nothing to worry about.

actually,it's the problem of your rom , in the framwork.apk . unzip it you will get a lot of battery icon form 1%to 100% in the res file ,if it made mistake, that 'your problem. you can go to uot kitchen to coustom it again.
Nope!
I've solved my problem. I've bought a new (original) htc battery, and the new one works great. I haven't reflashed the rom, or made any new modification. Just added the new battery.
So, yes, it's a faulty battery.

Battery Issues (calibration?)

Hey XDA, I just purchased a new AT&T SGS3 and I'm having some issues with the battery on the phone.
When I charge the phone overnight it charges to 100% then when I unplug it, the battery drops tremendously in about 5 seconds down to anywhere from 50%-75%. I tried manually recalibrating the battery by charging it 8+ hours, removing the battery, charging again while off, charging it again while on, then restarting. That seemed to work for one charge and the battery acted the way that it would have on my Nexus S.
However charging it again after a full battery drain, the same thing happened.
Also when the phone is low on battery, it displays the normal battery messages, but then the screen stays on, draining the battery faster.
Solutions? I want the root the phone, but only after I have these issues sorted out. (I'm still under warranty right now)

Did you try a reset of the phone through the settings ? After that try charging to 100% then drain completely and then recharging without break then use the phone mormally and try to recharge only when it hits 10% remaining for the next 2 or 3 charge cycles and see if that helps

It sounds very much like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ttery-reporting-phone-dying-suddenly-t3095120
I replaced the battery and it's been working well for a few months now.
Battery drop from 50 % to 0 %
I had the same issue.
After force shut down (power + vol-up for 10 sec), the battery went back to normal.

EDIT :
That was a short lifesaver, battery is "fubar".
Guys , maybe there's something wrong with the battery charging in Amami . I have two Z1C, one of which normally charge up to 100 %. But the other charges the battery to 100% only in Stock 4.4.4 ... In all versions of Lollipop (stock or not) battery charges to 82% ... Calibration of the battery does not help. I replaced the battery - no change. I tried another powerful charger by Samsung - without effect. Anybody have an idea what's going on ?
