Hey guys!
My wifi has been behaving strangely: when I get connect to a network it connects and disconnects intermittently( within 2-5 minutes usually). The weirder thing is, the only thing that seems to fix it for around a day or two is wiping the dalvik cache.
It is really annoying that I have to wipe the dalvik cache every other day to have a functioning Wifi! Please help :fingers-crossed:
P.s.:
Sleep policy is set to never;
I have tried new ROMs,kernels and modem - same problem.
I own a D855, international model, currently running Cloudy G3 2.5
UPDATE: Hey the problem seems to be fixed now!
I deleted the file in data/misc/dhcp and rebooted the phone a there it is! I have working wifi for 4 days now!! Thanks everyone!
i think i found the same problem but with full sol..

Try to clear your cache. If this doesn't work reflash your stock rom or rom your using this will help. It also could be an issue on your router. I once returned a router because it kept disconnecting the wifi with my phone and laptop
I cleaned all cache again and flashed Fulmics ROM. So far I have a stable connection, I hope it lasts

Hello! I am having an issue with my wifi on my evo 4g. I have had my phone rooted for over a year now with no issues. I recently used [ROM] [AOSP] Triple S v6.6 and for the first few days everything was fine. Now When I connect to any wifi connection I either get a few mins of use or none at all. The signal always stays connected but I receive the error, connection failed ( unable to connect please review your network settings). Any help would be great. Thanks!!
Have you tried flashing a nandroid of a known good setup? Or a clean re install of the current rom or another rom you like? Before you pull your hair out that may be the easiest fix.
Edit: After reading through the Triple S v6.6 thread one other person had a similar issue..the op suggested a reflash of the rom and it worked. Good Luck.

Hello everyone,
I need some immediate help please. I flashed GalaxyMod TouchWiz ROM (coming from Vanilla RootBox). I flashed because I was looking for a more stable ROM and started having the following issue:
After the flash I only get 3G for roughly 5-10 minutes. After about 5-10 minutes LTE finally activates. This persists through ROM flashes. This happens after every reboot and after toggling airplane mode.
I have since flashed Task650's AOKP and CM10.1 and the above issue is still present. I have checked my APN settings, which are on PTA. I also checked my preferred network and this is where I noticed an oddity. It is stuck on WCDMA preferred for the first 5-10 minutes and then finally changes by itself to LTE / GSM/WCDMA.
Steps I've taken so far:
1.) Flashed the LTE fix (while still on GalaxyMod ROM) which was provided in the GalaxyMod thread. This made no affect on the issue at all.
2.) Flashed new modems, no affect at all.
3.) Wiped Cache, Dalvik Cache, Factory Reset, System, Internal Memory and Data, reflashed a new ROM, no affect.
I never had any delay in connecting to LTE prior to flashing GalaxyMod, and now I get it on every ROM I flash thereafter.
What can be causing this? I am thinking the only thing I can do is Triangle Away, ODIN back to Stock and send it to Samsung.
If you have any suggestions at all, please let me know. I am desperate to get this working.
At the time of this post I'm running TWRP 2.4.1.0, CM10.1 and the packaged CM Kernel that comes with the ROM.

Running galaxymod right now and in DFW area with great LTE coverage and never had the issues you had or any for that matter. Somehow in the flashing, I'm going to get real technical here right now , something got borked that isn't affected by flashing a new ROM. We could give to several things to try but honestly flashing back to factory out of the box and starting from there is the only fail safe way to do it. probably faster too. That's I would do

Thanks for the reply. I just downloaded root-injected stock and am flashing as we speak. If this doesn't work, I'm going to flash back to bone-stock and see how that goes. I'll report back and let everyone know =)

Did you check to see if your IMEI is missing?
I had the same issue on GalaxyMod. I had to do a clean install of the ROM, apply KT's kernel, and apply the LTE fix BEFORE I rebooted. I could not tell from your post if you did a clean install of GalaxyMod. Then I checked my IMEI and it was missing, so I performed the fix found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801997 and repeated the steps above. Worked for me as I get LTE speeds now on GalaxyMod.

I'm getting LTE speeds, problem is after toggling airplane mode or rebooting the phone it takes up to 10 minutes for LTE to activate. I fresh installed GalaxyMod, wiped everything possible in the wipe menu of TWRP with the exception of external SD.
I also applied the LTE fix before I booted GalaxyMod, but I did not flash KT747. I prefer to not flash that kernel because it has the updated BT/WIFI drivers and had a warning that I would need to back those drivers up if I ever wished to revert. I don't really feel like going through all of that lol.

Hello guys
Since few days, my LG G3 D855 loses signal everytime. After 5-10 minutes that it is turned on, it just doesn't receive any signal or it doesn't read my sim card. Sometimes it restarts continuously too saying it needs a working sim card.
I've this smartphone since an year and half and this is the first time I have this issue. I had CloudyG3 2.5. I tried to install a Marshmallow ROM and also a Lollipop stock rom with the same problem. I tried to flash few radios zips from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/radio-modem-lg-g3-t3110376 . It just works 10 minutes and then nothing. I performed a full-wipe from TWRP everytime I changed ROM. I tried a different SIM card but the issue happens identically.
Unfortunately I'm not an advanced user and maybe I'm doing something wrong so I really need your help guys. Due to that, I can't use this smartphone anymore.
Thank you
Take a look here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/disappeared-lte-firmware-t3286685 and especially on post #8 and #10. This are mine problems and the solution that helped me. Hope you fix your problem as i fixed mine. I am using marshmallow and hybrid modem and that fixes my problem that is identical to yours i think. Cheers.

I readed that topic but I'm a bit confused about the steps you've done
You flashed a Marshmallow rom with LG-D85530B-Flashable.Modem.RPM.TZ-AutoHybrid.zip this radio? And then you deleted LTEconfigs from system/apps ?
Yeap... But i tried to change my kernel and the problem started again... So its nit modem related problem but kernel and i dont know why...

Hi what was the solution to this? I have the same problem and its getting really annoying
Hi there! So, I couldnt find the Cyanogenmod thread, so i figured this place was better than any other.
Anyway, I have an LG G4 H815 on T-Mobile and so recently I downgraded from Cyanogenmod 14 to 13 because I wasnt a fan, and ever since my mobile data has been throwing a fit. If I go back to stock LG MM it at least has some data connection, but its on "E", but if I try and go to any custom ROM it gets pissed and decided it doesnt need data and it doesnt want service half of the time. Any suggestions? Ive been working on it all day and its kinda really super frustrating. Thanks!!

Greetings and welcome to assist. This appears to be the correct thread for CM on your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/general/cm14-t3464339/page10
If you can't find any help there I would reflash a complete stock rom for your device, it souns like modem/apn issue. Returning to the full stock rom for your device should fix any issues
Good Luck

I've already tried flashing stock rom, and it works when I just flash the LG MM, but Cyanogenmod is still broken with a clean reflash. I've played with the apn settings to no avail. How would you reconfigure the modem settings?

AFAIK you can't configure your modem only change it for one from a different firmware. It does sound like a CM bug which is quite common especially on cm14 hopefully they'll fix it soon

Hello folks!
I recently found a strange bug on my Zuk Z2(Plus).
I was running it in AICP 20170901 build along with Orbot App. I had a situation when the phone started heating up and the battery drain became faster. As I was travelling and wanted to save the last ounce of juice, I deleted Orbot, to cool down the phone as it was continuously running in the background. My phone got switched off later, but once I was able to charge it, I tried connecting it to my home Wifi network. It just kept showing "Connecting" and later "Saved", but never connected. After repeated attempts to connect, it shows "Saved". Frustrated with this, I did a clean wipe and installed a previous backup of AICP 20170901 build which I saved a few days prior to this. But to my surprise, I was again unable to connect. It kept doing the same thing.
So, I did a clean wipe and did a fresh install of AICP 20170901 build and again, the same thing kept repeating. So, I installed the stock rom to check if it might work on that, but to my luck it didn't. So, I switched back to my earlier backup of AICP, and installed Dark Moon Kernel 004.1, But again no luck.
Between multiple ROM switches, it sometimes connects to the network and doesn't connect to the internet and then gets automatically disconnected.
Is there some fix to this. I think Orbot messed up something, and I am unfortunately not that tech savvy to find out what it did. Orbot is meant to replicate Onion Router, but landed me in a soup
Please advice.

Use some other rom... Recommended crdroid latest build... Use picogapps... And try again...
The issue could be rom related and even after trying new rom the problem still persists then it could be a baseband issue...
Try the recommended rom first with complete full wipe .. Good luck
Hi,
Were you able to fix this?
I'm facing the same issue. Tried several basebands and ROMS. Also, flashed stock rom through QFIL/QPST, but the issue is still there.
Thanks,

Were you able to fix it??? How did you resolve? After three years, I faced this issue all of a sudden after I changed my phone's battery, and tried everything with software but no fix. Any possibility that it is a hardware issue? How can it be deeply inspected to find the real cause of this problem?

Is there any fix found for this? or is it forever? Need help, need to give this phone to someone but can't fix this issue. Please help through any ways.
You may try resetting the carrier and wifi network. This may help.
