Boot loop after OTA upgrade - Elephone P8000

Hi everyone, today my Elephone p8000 with stock rom (no root nor recovery installed) proposed me an OTA update, and I did it.
After installing the update the phone is stuck at the boot animation logo. If I boot in factory mode (volume down + power button) I am presented with a bunch of options in Chinese, which I don't understand. If I go in recovery mode (volume down + power button) it says "no command".
What can I do? What are my options? Is it bricked?

Yup mine too. Mine has root, with no custom recovery. Get the same boot loop and the sad open Android 'no command'.
Haven't had a chance to dig around for a solution but I suspect it is a case of using the flash tool to wipe and load a standard ROM? Hopefully an easier way.

Damn. I had huge problems with the flash tool in the past (I don't have a Windows PC) and the idea of spending the weekend trying to get the damn thing work is not a fun one.

Got this issue too this morning on way to work, I guess my phones useless today until I get home to try and flash it.
seem to be able to get to the boot select screen but nothing is different anyway, also managed to get into a "PCBA" mode that did a load of tests to the phone but thats it.

it now just died, not powering on, think its bricked :crying:

Probably just out of power. Try charging it for a while and/or download and flash entire rom using sp flash except for data-partition so as you don't lose your data.

thanks it was out of power lol

I just had the same problem. Did you solved it?
Like, exactly the same... Crazy

Another one
My p8000 also in bootloop after ota update. Only have an old vista PC w8ll dust it off tonight and see what happens

mines doing the same i thought it was too good to be true and it was lol

Cannot get pc (win 10) to install all the drivers, PC cannot see the phone so unable to run flash tool.
Suggestions? I presume the ROM cannot be flashed through the recovery (standard)?
EDIT: Driver package installed by disabling 'driver verification' setting in Windows. Phone only recognised as a MTP USB Device in devide manager, and flash tool does not seem to want to do anything. Might try this on a Win 7 laptop tomorrow. HJow you guys getting on with this?

So. This is what worked for me. Win 10. P8000 bootloop.
1) put p8000 into recovery, chose 'power off'. (I couldn't seem to stop it rebooting using the power button)
2) installed driver pack by disabling the Windows install signed drivers only setting. Rebooted. This turns the setting back on, but the drivers have alrwady been installed, no issue with that.
3) installed the flash tool. Brief panic at Chinese chars, located English. Calmed down.
4) loaded flash tool, with ROM ready to go.
5) this is the biggie, this is what brought it all together.........connected the powered down p8000 via USB and IMMEDIATELY hit the download button in the flash tool - ie BEFORE a new instance of USB bing-bong-device-connected sound.
6) once all downloaded, disconnect phone, reboot. Took an extended time (few mins) to boot, enough time to almost start swearing under my breath, but it just needed some patience.
Now, what I spent some time unsuccessfully trying to fix - needlessly as it turns out - was what my phone appeared under 'Device Manager'. It still lists it as an MTP USB Device under the 'Portable Devices' submenu. It did not seem to matter, as long as all the driver were installed.
I wish you all the best of luck in solving your issues, hopefully some of what I wrote can be helpful.

I have the same boot loop after ota. I did no backup before, so data partition contains my apps right ?
I never used the flash tool , where should I start , any good link for beginners ?
I read some things about the flash options months ago, must I disable/uncheck some options ?
Thanks for help.

same issue
Hi everyone!
I've got the same issue: I allowed the OTA update to 20151105 firmware release from previous version (20150725), after the upgrade, the phone keeps in a bootloop with a new colored Elephone logo.
I can't find a valid set of drivers, I tried a lot over the night, but windows don't recognize the phone.
PLEASE some kind soul could link a valid driver package to use SP tool ?
thanks a lot in advance!

pretty much did the same thing and it worked!! Cheers!! (also had the rage and it took ages to find english on the tool lol  )

when you get the android with the "no command" message, let go of the volume and power buttons. Then hold the POWER BUTTON for 1-2 seconds and TAP VOLUME UP while still holding the power button. this will open the recovery options

omg!!
disabling the Windows install signed drivers only setting!!
i thought we wouldnt have to do things like this since Windows 95
Lol

Worked for me
Had I only found this tutorial before yesterday... it took me hours to figure this out.
I can, however, now confirm this works.
Regarding point 5):
(i) Power down phone (ii) start flash tool/go to download tab (iii) select scatter file (iv) hit "download" with no phone attached (v) attach the powered down phone
...and things will be fine. Doing anything fast is not required.
The point is to install SP_Drivers_v2.0 first, as described here. After this, everything goes smooth.

What if no Windows?
Edit: Never mind, I got myself a windows computer and succeeded. Thanks for all the orientation!
Hi all,
Thanks a lot for posting a solution to this problem so quickly. I am affected by the same issue. Looking to buy some LSD to better enjoy the psychtrip my phone seems to be stuck in. Also looking to fix the phone.
Unfortunately, I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I did find a guide to use the flash tool on Ubuntu, but my phone does not seem to connect. I'm guessing this has something to do with that pack of drivers 2.0, for which I have no equivalent. I would really appreciate any ideas!
I might end up returning my phone to Amazon, though. It's only been a few days since I've had it, and you can imagine that although I was really liking it, I'm beginning to change my mind.
Your advice?
EDIT: I am getting the following error message:
BROM ERROR: S_COM_PORT_OPEN_FAIL (1013)
[COM]: Failed to open COM port.
[HINT]:
I did some googling, but didn't find anything worth mentioning.

Critical BootLoop (No CWM Access/USB Unrecognized)

My Salutations, I am asking a question in regards to a serious bootloop I have managed to pull myself into.
Most bootloops I usually just enter CWM and flash another rom or restore. This problem however is much more serious.
Every time I attempt to enter CWM it goes directly to download mode. It's as if CWM doesn't exist on my phone anymore or something.
Download mode is the only thing I can access. I have tried multiple attempts to enter any other recovery mode but they all end up getting me to download mode.
This isn't the only problem. I thought this wouldn't be a big deal until I realized my PC can't recognize my phone at all anymore. Even before I got into the bootloop, my phone would only charge but any other recognition from the PC was absent. I have all the correct drivers installed including numerous attempts at re-installing, re-configuring, and restarting my PC.
I think I may have reached an irrecoverable error.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.
FYI, The ROM I flashed when my Phone started acting like a bundle of ninnyhammerness was AOKP milestone 6. It's not the ROMs fault of course, seeing as how this ROM is very good. I also had the Darkside kernel. This is when I couldn't manually enter CWM. In stead, I had to let the phone boot up and utilizing the power menu, restart in recovery mode. I thought this was strange at first. I then wiped, and decided to flash the 20th Nightly of AOKP Jellybean just to try it. It booted fine, but then when I had to restart to enter CWM again I chose to flash another Darkside kernel. After this, my phone went into a bootloop. That is where everything else fell apart.
Sounds like either the recovery isn't sitting in the system correctly or its gone. When your phone is in download mode you said that you can't connect to pc. Are you running odin as admin and/or connecting the device to pc previous to putting the battery back?
sent from my T989 full of CM awesomeness and a touch of Venom from the Darkside!!
Yes I did run Odin as an administrator. I also tried connecting the device prior to putting the battery in, and also after.
I had this sort of problem yesterday (I installed a port of CWMR and it had some bugs which lead to it formatting the disk and then freezing and a reboot wouldn't allow me to install a rom...) anyways
1) Go to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-T989ZKBTMB? and download the drivers for the phone. This will allow windows to recognize the phone, without the phone having to communicate to the computer.
2) Download Odin v 1.85 (that's what I used anyways)
3) Follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481141 It'll give you a workable CWMR to allow a format and installation of a rom to stop the boot loop
Those three steps should solve the problem, it did for me at least.
Hope that helps!

Thanks but, it still hasn't worked. It keep saying "USB device not recognized, Device driver software was not successfully installed."
I was able to fix it. If anyone else encounters this lethal, and pretentious conflict again... I resolved the problem by repeatedly spamming the power button on my computer, unplugging the cable repeatedly and letting my phone sit without the battery inside of it for 24 hours until my PC finally recognized the device.

[Q] Help! Accidentally deleted system and can't restore or install

Coming from a phone with microSD extension, I had never encountered such an issue:
I bought this phone with a stock 4.2 Rom installed and tried to install a custom Rom. I first installed the latest version of touch recovery (tried it and it seemed to work fine) and did a backup using the default settings. Then I erroneously chose to format system and data, thinking that I could then "install from zip". Strangely, these steps deleted everything in the /sdcard directory and I couldnt select "external SD" (because the phone isnt equipped with it anyways?). Then I made a second mistake and restarted the phone, despite the message warning that I no longer had an OS installed. I took the battery out, and then held the power down while pressing the power button. The phone couldn't get into recovery, but instead showed a screen with the android logo, a large "Start" sign above it, and "Downloading...", "Do not turn off target !!" below it. Pressing the power button now got the phone to show just "Google" and a lock logo under it. The PC (windows 7) can not detect the phone throughout the process.
I tried the latest tool kit and samsung's USB driver but couldnt get the phone recognized by the PC.
Does this mean that the phone is doomed???
Please help!!!
Trent
Relax, it's not easy to 'doom' your Nexus. Especially with all the hard-workers in XDA
Try accessing Recovery mode by holding down BOTH vol up + vol down, as well as power. Holding just vol down + power is 'Download Mode', and at the least you can get to this. Means your phones far from doomed
Thanks a lot for the reply!
As a matter of fact, I also figured out how to get back to recovery (if only I had read your post earlier, my pain would've been much less!). But the problem remains that I can not get a target ROM onto the phone, since: 1. whatever I did seemed to have gotten rid of the nand backup supposedly stored in /data/media/TWRP/BACKUPS/ (I'm using TWRP V. 2.3.2.1). 2. I can not get my PC(or Mac, for that matter) to recognize the phone or the internal storage.
Any pointer from here?
Thanks again!!!
Trent
You can download a factory image and install with fastboot. It's quite easy and instructions are readily available on this forum. You can then install a custom ROM afterwards if stock is not your thing.
Found the answer finally!
It's the adb push method. Basically, it's to install adb drivers and execute a few commands via the command window. Not too bad... Don't know much about fastboot yet though ... If anyone else needs more details, please PM me (to save public bandwidth).
Thanks a lot anyways, whpnhp and jocalderone!!!

[Q] Help desperately needed - Galaxy Nexus not booting after installing Jelly Belly!

I really hate to join under such a condition (it's an amazing site which I thought I would join for better reasons when time permitted), but my new Galaxy Nexus just went to hell on me after flashing the (apparently) popular Jelly Belly mod.
I started with a rooted 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS with ClockworkMod Recovery, and now it looks like disaster after using that to flash Jelly Belly - what happens now is my phone boots up to the point where it flashes that colored Google "X", but it never proceeds beyond this point. I cannot put a different mod on my phone because there is no connection with my computer, and I can't stop my device from thrashing without a battery-pull. Is there any way save this phone and put plain Jelly Bean back on it?

When I do, I have that "Downloading..do not turn off the target!" message. Why this - I did remove the supersu file, although I think I left my clockworkmod file on the root because now you have to re-flash that every time you use it. Now I have no option other than "Start" - any chance of breaking through now?

thats not fastboot, thats odin mode. use vol up and down and power button to get to fastboot mode
the entire reason your phone is behaving the way it did is because you didnt wipe data/cache before flashing the rom.
you really need to do some reading before you start modifying your phone

Do you mean that I need to continually rock the Volume key up and down while holding the Power button? Volume Up with Power put it in boot mode, and when I tried rocking it a couple of times I got the same result. It I understand you correctly, the idea sounds tricky. Is this supposed to work on a Galaxy Nexus?
press and hold both ends of the volume button and the power button... its really not that hard.

What I really should have done was slow down, or quit while I was ahead to get some rest last night! I had researched the root process for my phone ad nauseum, which I know is why I succeeded at getting ClockworkMod safely installed. By the time that was done I was tired, but I counldn't stand the thought of living without my files loaded on my phone - I was in the bad state of needing too much to complete what I had intended to do. I see I had the wrong impression that ClockworkMod would take care of the whole process once I had that working, guess it didn't. When you've been through the process of installing a hundred versions of Windows and Linux on a PC, which never needs to be pre-wiped (the new OS does that), who would have thunk it's that much different with a phone computer?
Did you get this solved? Just reboot into recovery (hold down power, volume-up, and volume-down simultaneously to get into bootloader, choose recovery using volume buttons, select using power button), full wipe (system, data, cache), and reflash your ROM.

This is another thing I never would have guessed without being told specifically, that it's even possible to hold down both ends of a rocker switch and have it do a different function - I tried this, and now it works! I had used my PC to root my phone last night, and right now I'm at work, where there will be time to go through this in a couple of hours. I took a brief look at the tutorial recommended by Zepius, and am wondering if I am set to proceed. I plan on using my work PC, not the one at home with the drivers I used to root my phone. Nobody else uses it and I have never used it for anything phone-related. Can I presume any drivers which I'm warned should be uninstalled would be on the PC which is used, and not the phone?

Sorry, I had to work, but now there's time and I thought I would try my work PC, which is virgin (so to speak) of mobile devices and drivers. It's a Windows XP system, and right now it's not looking good because when my phone is plugged in, there isn't a "Portable Devices" or "Mobile" category under Device Manager. Do I have a better chance of this working on my home Windows 7 system?

I guess that's a never-mind, I should have had my phone on! It's in Fastboot mode now, but I still don't know if what I see in Device Manager is good for what I'm trying to do. No portable device, phone, nor galaxy nexus, but what did change is I have "Broadcom Nextreme 57xx Gigabit Controller" appearing under "Network Adapters". Is this a problem to be dealt with differently when your phone is bricked?

1) your phone is not bricked. dont call it that
2) best way to check if your drivers are installed correctly
open a command prompt in the folder where your fastboot.exe is and type: fastboot devices
if you get a device ID, your drivers are setup properly for fastboot
3) at this point, just return to stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895

I got a device ID (long string of characters) on that fastboot command, but I'm still concerned that my phone won't talk to Device Manager at all. Windows 7 doesn't pop up a connection window when it's plugged in, should that be expected?
What I mean by "not talking to Device Manager" is that the only item under Portable devices is just E:\ - no device listed here! The tutorial in your signature hinges on there being a device listed "without thde yellow exclamation point", for the installation of new drivers, therefore I don't know how to follow it from here. The adk drivers which were used to root my phone (they were good, the problem began when I tried to flash a rom and missed a step or three) are stil there, but I'll replace them if I can find a process which can talk to my phone in it's present state.
On a side note (and only because it held me up in responding tonight from my Windows system), is this site partial to Firefox? I am able for the first time to login, and I wonder if it isn't because I quit trying to through my Windows 7 system. It has only Windows IE, and Chrome (which couldn't even browse this site). I am currently on my Ubuntu system with Firefox.

I said much the same myself.
For the fastboot devices test, I have a string of characters, but no device name, only "fastboot" on the single output line with those characters. Is this a valid device ID?
"...just use fastboot" Ok, but how? Should (can I) even do this use fastboot to transfer files to my phone under it's somewhat anonymous status with Windows? Since last night's fiasco nothing was named under "Portable Devices", only "E:\" was displayed. I have no graphical display in the file manager, so how am I supposed to transfer the necessary files to the root of my phone? I don't even see a way of addressing it to install drivers now.
I will need drivers because I attempted to follow this tutorial (which doesn't account for what I am (not) seeing on my system. I got as far as uninstalling the good drivers which I used last night in favor of what was offered for use with the tutorial, and now Device Manager doesn't even have a Portable Devices category. The "Universal Naked Driver" was to replace my uninstalled drivers, and interestingly the contents of it's expanded folders don't even contain fastboot (the adb package which I used last night did). In light of this, how am I supposed to have even fastboot?
I hate to be a PIA about this, but I guess I'm more a n00b than was presumed in this tutorial - it's either that or my situation really is too different that I can use it as is. Could I please get a few clues in light of what the tutorial doesn't address? Do I have any means of installing anything and transferring files with my device-PC communications as they are, and if so how can I do it? I'll give it a run if I understand how.
Thanks.

good lord... you have a device ID so just use the fastboot commands... start at part D

I see now that Part D calls for flashing JO03C from my PC, not the device root, ok.
Also, after rebooting my laptop, the E:\ is back under Portable Devices in Device Manager. When I double-click this I get the statement
Device: Portable Devices
Manufacturer: Generic-
Location: on UMBus Enumerator
I don't think this looks better than the Microsoft default, but is it good enough for what I need to do?
I still have the driver package android-sdk-windows, which contains adb and fastboot, so perhaps I should just use this according to Part D and see what happens?

Did you get this solved? Just reboot into recovery (hold down power, volume-up, and volume-down simultaneously to get into bootloader, choose recovery using volume buttons, select using power button), full wipe (system, data, cache), and reflash your ROM.

Seriously I respect the fact that your a noob we was all here once but if it your device is boot-looping all you need to do is the above

Good god, I never should have read Zepius's tutorial - I didn't need my PC at all! If I understood what bananagranola had said, I could have saved a lot of time!
Oh, no, now I can't connect with the server!
Could I have possibly lost my radio from what I did earlier? I was able to boot up, and I was upgraded to 4.2.1 when I did the data wipe. Starting over, I should have had a prompt to connect with gmail and download my contacts, but this didn't happen. My People app is unpopulated, so I chose to connect to "sign into an account". While I am sure of my login input, it didn't recognize this, and then the process ended with a "couldn't finish - couldn't open connection with the server" error. Any clue where to go from here?
Some standard apps are missing too, including the Play Store app!

LG G3 in download mode not detected by Windows

Dear xda-developers-community,
I'm trying to get a phone of a friend of mine working which just reboots whenever the phone is started. The resulting boot loop can only be interrupted by taking the battery out or wait until it is depleeted.
In order to fix this soft-brick I first tried to use recovery by pressing VOL - & POWER. In the menu, I could select and confirm to recover to factory settings, but after some seconds the boot loop appeared again with (seemingly?) no change having been made. The error kept appeaing over and over again.
After trying recovery mode, I attempted to start the phone in download mode by pressing VOL + on the (switched off) phone and connecting a USB cable. The respective menu also opened, here, showing "Firmware Update" and "Do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete". According to many tutorials I found on the internet, when having installed the required drivers (I used LG United Mobile drivers from here), this procedure should allow you to flash a recovery image through LG's flashing tool (which one can also find on that page).
However, when I connect the LG G3 (D855) to a computer the driver is installed on, there is no new device shown in the Device manager. I tried this out with Windows 10 x64 and Windows 7 x64 and disabled driver validation on both systems and enabled test signing on Windows 10, respectively. Additionally, I followed these instructions, but in this case the screen stays dark and the device is not detected either. It seems like there are not so many people experiencing this error, but I hope we can find a solution.

This may sound like a dumb question, but have you tried a new battery yet? If it is one of the original batteries it could have gone bad & started bootlooping...like mine did a few months ago.
As far as the PC not recognizing the phone you can try downloading USBDeview and uninstall anything that has the vendor ID's of 1004 & 18d1(pretty much anything that says android or LGE in the description) & reboot the PC. Hopefully it'll recognize your device and install the drivers the next time you plug it in. If it doesn't find the drivers automatically for you then install LG drivers manually.

Link for LGE drivers: http://www.lg.com/us/support/software-firmware-drivers
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

Question Bricked my Prixel 6 after flashing stock rom

Hi there,
I am looking for some guidance on my bricked Pixel 6 Pro.
I transfered the data from my old pixel, but then decided to do a full flash to refresh. Downloaded the stock image from google, used the fastboot-all script to flash the phone, but as soon as it was done, I never reboot. my phone is looking completely dead since.
Attempt # 1
- black screen, with no sound to any actions of response to any key combination (power or volume keys).
- tried holding the power button for 60 secs, no response
- tried holding power and volume down, no response
- tried holding power and volume up, no response
- when I plug the phone on charge, no response. neither the charging display.
Atempt # 2
- Only time the phone shows some sign of life, is when I connect the phone to my PC, it makes a sound of detecting a device, but then instantly it get a disconnect sound, (in 2-3 sec).
- I tried holding the power button, while plugged in. it makes a sound of usb detection, (but no visual response on the phone) after holder for 30 secs, it makes another sound of usb detach.
- While I am experimentating with PC connection, I also tried fastboot reboot command, it only shows waiting for a device and nothing happens, either on the console or phone.
Not sure, if I have bricked the bootloader, and if yes, what can be done? Any guidance in this regards will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Call whoever you bought the phone from and do warranty claim.
I struggled with a soft bricked / bootlooping phone after removing Magisk. Although my phone at least booted to bootloader and a connection via fastboot was working, the factory images wouldn't flash properly. Google support couldn't help me and I thought I had to send it to repair.
In the end I could solve the issue by switching to the Android SDK 31. I know your case is different, because your phone is bricked worse than mine was, but you could give it a try.

If I remeber correctly flashing factory images forces you to unlock the device. So yes, the bootloader of rao_hamza's device should be unlocked.
From memory you can revive it through QPST and orher Qualcomm utilities, however hard part is to get the files. the phone is too new and many shops dont have the unlock tools yet.
" While I am experimentating with PC connection, I also tried fastboot reboot command, it only shows waiting for a device and nothing happens, either on the console or phone. " - this is still good news, as phone is being detected by windows, try to install Qualcomm drivers and see if you can get it to boot into EDL. GOOD LUCK.
Pixel 6 uses Google's own new Tensor chip - so no Qualcomm tools
Like @Baumhouse I went through something similar. Two things for me: it took way longer to hold power and volume down than any other phone I've owned. I was seriously concerned I wasn't going to get there. Two, the factory images all made it to fastbootd and then failed all because I hadn't updated to the latest SDK.
Just throwing this out in hopes you don't have to send it back.
What @ridobe said. Make sure you're using the latest official Google Platform Tools (there's a link in my thread at the top of my signature below if you need it, or just Google for it). If I had a nickel every time someone didn't update the tools when they went to use them...

This and a bad/wrong cable seem to be the most common culprits

Any idea how long you had to hold that button combinaiton? I tried longer, maybe 60 sec, but still no response from the phone.

Yes, I don't know who to get into a bootloader in this situation, if that were working I would have some hope.
If you can get to the bootloader you can use google's flashing website, flash.android.com. I just use that to go back to stock, even with an unlocked bootloader.

Sorry, misread the post.
@pysklona came here because I'm in the same boat, hard-bricked my device after running the flash-all script. Was using the most recent version of platform tools and the brand new cable that came with the phone.
Was getting the same result, attaching it to a windows pc makes the attached device chime, but disconnects after a few seconds. It came up first as "Setting up Pixel ROM Recovery". I let it sit overnight and now it doesn't auto-disconnect and I get a serial device under com3 on windows. Attaching it to macos gives me a "Pixel ROM Recovery" device. Despite "recovery" in the name, I think it's actually in EDL mode, not recovery mode. No devices come up for adb or fastboot on windows, linux or macos. Screen is completely blank no matter what.
Not being a Qualcomm chip makes this whole process from here a bit of an unknown, but will assume the process for recovery is more or less the same. Looking into QPST/MsmDownloadTool/OpenPST, although as pointed out, I'm not sure any of those tools will work since this isn't a qualcomm chip. MsmDownloadTool is for oneplus, but maybe something can be modded.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I just returned the device and got myself a new one.
anyways, i am not sure what is causing this hard brick. thats is something we all should be careful about it.
same thing here. pixel 6 from google store. magisk installed on the december update and i downgraded to the november one using the flash-all.bat script. phone reboots and am told the software is corrupt
reboot back into fastboot mode, run the script again. and get this software is corrupt message again
this time I cant' even boot into fastboot/bootloader mode. and plugging the phone into windows gives me the "pixel rom recovery" message
phone seems dead (black screen, not responding to hardware buttons)
any other solutions than to get it replaced?
Hmm, maybe plug it in to a PC via USB to supply it with power (maybe the battery is down) and just do a very long press of the power button - at least 30 seconds - until the phone starts up. If it does and isn't in fastboot you could try "Power-VolDown" to get into fastboot...
If it just doesn't react to all of this and waiting a bit (in case the battery was at 0% and needs some minimal charge) I think a replacement is the only way to go....

You could try Official Google Android Flash Tool. It's merely another method of doing what you effectively tried, but from what I've read, it's helped some folks. Sadly, others have reported that the Official Google Pixel Update and Software Repair hasn't been updated for the P6P yet.
If that doesn't help, hang in there. There are others in here who will likely have even better advice.

appreciate the links. right now, I can't even get into fastboot/bootloader mode. so neither of those tools detect the phone.
@s3axel the battery definitely isn't low. I charged it up before all this specifically so that I know it had plenty of juice (was at 93% or something).
I'm thinking maybe after letting the battery die, charging it back up will let me boot into a special boot mode
but any other ideas, please, I'm all ears
