Virtual Partition TWRP recovery
TWRP 3.0.2: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=313042859668276543
From another non-virtual partitioned ROM:
Make sure you have the latest OFFICIAL TWRP installed.
Backup current ROM if desired
Back up EVERYTHING on your internal SD card to your computer (the internal SD card WILL BE ERASED in the next step).
In TWRP, go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> check Internal Storage -> press on "Repair or Change File System" -> press on "Change File System" -> press on "EXT4", and then swipe to start formatting the internal SD card. This can take up to a minute.
Wipe Data, Cache and System.
Copy the newest version of my TWRP recovery to your device and flash it.
After that is finished, go back to the main menu, then go to Reboot and press on Recovery.
Once the device has rebooted back into TWRP recovery, goto mount then uncheck and recheck data.
Copy and flash the new ROM and your GApps package to your device and flash
Reboot system
Connect your phone to your computer and copy back your backed-up internal SD card data to the internal SD card.
Repartitioning is completed. Enjoy your 8GB of additional app storage space.
From CM12.1 or another virtual partitioned ROM:
Factory reset (to avoid problems)
Flash ROM and GApps
Updating to a newer version:
Just flash ROM and reboot.
Yay! Gonna try this right now, Thanks!
Edit: Uh, just saw.. RIL is not working at all or with issues?

It could be working, but I don't have a SIM card to test.

hollly s*** I am still using your paranoid 5.1 but this is blast!! I can't believe you brought marshmallow to us:laugh:
gonna test it as soon as possible and write report here ty so much:good::good:
Cant wait to have RIL working to start using this!
It only took me 5 years for my first CM rom, thanks.
I'm using it sans SIM, too.
I had a few issues with TWRP, but I pushed through...
My Herc's capacitive buttons have gone to crap, but the onscreen nav buttons work great.
I'm still learning 6.0 M, so thanks again for the upgrade.
Working fine, no problems with TWRP at all, got signal but when someone calls me the phone reboots.
Ill try to come back with some logs if that could help
So coming from Paranoid Android 5.1 which is stable as can be, is this ROM stable? Like with the RIL, that is what I'm most concerned about. Anyone had any problems with it? Also, once I virtually partition my memory will I still be able to install other ROMs that don't require virtually partition ROMs? Thanks!

Is stable, been using this since yesterday and everything seems to be working, bit when you recieve a call the phone reboots, Data is working and SMS to.
You cant install non-virtually partitioned ROMs, the process to undo this is installing Oficial TWRP and re-formatting everything but Ext SD Card, that worked for me.

Not trying to he pushy or anything, if I am sorry but how long should this take? I am going to be using this ROM when I get the chance to install, probably tommorow, but if it is going to be updated should I wait, or will the update take awhile?

to be honest i tought skyrocket or hercules would not get M i was wrong but then again it looks just like lillipop.. am glad there are developers that continue to bring life to the s2. i just recently got me a lg g2 and they lack on developers.. not a lot of support for that device.. does it feel a difference? what about battery?
So I flashed TWRP over CWM, and TWRP and when going to Wipe it is not showing my Internal SD to partition.
Nvm, I fixed this
New build is up. The issue with receiving calls should be resolved

Receiving calls has been fixed but now not able to make calls
When trying to make calls, get a "Mobile Network Not Available" error. the network signal in status bar goes blank and then re-appears after a few seconds
plus when receiving calls, the name of the person who calls doesn't appear, just the number. shows up as Unknown in recent calls.
Also not able to choose preferred network type in mobile network settings
Logs attached
GPS is working, got a fix fairly quickely
everything seems to work great except the 2 problems with signal that are mentioned in post above
can you post us some fast fix only for that in zip file if it's not too big problem to patch this bug pls

6.0. I recommend the micro, nano, or pico Gapps. The Aroma package would also work. That way, you get to choose which Gapps you install. The only problem with that can be it is a bigger package and therefore takes longer to download. Also, Cyanogen recently released Capps that has the Cyanogen OS system apps (not including Gapps). I flashed the micro Gapps and the Capps and everything is fine for me (except cell, which I haven't tested.)
Have a great evening!

Fantastic. Looking forward to testing it out.
So i just installed this and tried Focal. When in portrait mode I was able to get it to go to pick picsphere but it starts going nuts when rotating device to landscape. I then try to launch Focus or the Camera app and it cannot connect to camera. So thats an issue. Also, I was not getting 4G/LTE in an area I know I get it in. Trying to reload stock to get the locks for GPS and to update my profiles then will try again.
Sweetness!
Thank you sir

The advanced menu seems to have been taken out. So we can no longer turn off the back light on the capacitive keys nor save battery by turning off the stylus layer.

I did a full wipe and flashed the first nightly and gapps. Everything went well until I rebooted. When I restarted my phone, it just hung at the Galaxy Note II screen. When I booted into TWRP, it asked me for a password and my data partition was encrypted.....
Edit: I did restore apps from rom toolbox pro. Maybe that caused the problem. I will try again. Full wipe and reinstall apps from play store.

I am having the same issue where I get stuck on the splash screen upon reboot, with no adb access. I have eliminated the issue being caused from: my personal CM build, GApps package, and wiping vs not wiping. The only way I can get it to boot fully is to boot back into recovery (TWRP) and reflash. Guys, I've flashed this rom 3 times today while comparing it to ParanoidAndroid's release and I haven't run into this issue. Did you guys do a factory reset AFTER installing the rom and gapps? I noticed this was an extra step that I did not have to perform while on 4.2.2. So basically, I had to wipe data twice before I rebooted to actually start the rom, once before I installed the rom and once again after I installed gapps; before I rebooted.
Good Luck!!

Anyone else getting FC every time the AOSP keyboard try's to popup ?
EDIT: reflashed without gapps and it's fine, but as soon as I flash gapps the FC come back on popup keyboard. Otherwise rom seems fast, everything else seems ok at first glance but I flashed back to a backup cause the ROM in unusable without the keyboard.
So we don't have to be on the 4.2 bootloader for this to work? 4.1 bootloader will be fine?

Did you build yourself? Because there is no nightly build yet to download.
If you downloaded the latest nightly from get.cm, and flashed the 4.3 gapps then it would be a bit logical that you get a fc because you flashed 4.3 gapps on a 4.2.2 build.

The new bootloader requires TWRP 2.5 instead - I am a firm believer in CM recovery for all my recovery needs except this. Please correct me if I am wrong, but currently as far as I know, TWRP 2.5 is the only recovery that works with the new Android 4.2+ bootloader. Check the basic threads for the background.

I have the kernel source in the devices directory, I'm just too lazy to edit the androidmenu bash script for the device. Unless there are further modifications necessary.

There are indeed future mods needed.
The first two Google Drive links are dead.
Here is a mirror for the files. I don't know how long they will last so urge OP for new mirror.

You really should have PMed me about this FIRST.
I didn't know they died.
When will file links be available for download again cause? I was only ever able to download the kali kernel!
Flashed cm11 plus all zips , rom boots fine. Except for the part where the screen doesn't display anything (stays blank and off), however I can swipe to unlock and get the vibration as well as turn the volume up and down and get the sound that is associated. Any ideas I've done it twice with full wipes of everything I could wipe asside from the sd card

Im not wiping between installing cm11 and the two zips, that's stupidity. I was doing a full wipe before reflashing cm11 and the 2 zips again. Just no display

I don't understand how that could be happening....
It's working on my S3 fine. And the nethunter zips are just a kernel and a zip that runs a bunch of scripts and extracts a CHROOT.

Do you think that it would have anything to do with what version of cm11 that is being used, I r what baseband? (I'm noob ish when it comes to that) cuz cm11 works fine then I flash everything and it shows the Droid logo or w/e and then goes blank with the soft keys illuminating, as well as responding to touch (side note I had forgotten to authenticate the adb connection prior so I could easily reboot to recovery and was able to bring up and select ok to allow it w/o the screen being visible, so it must be something driver related to the display)

Try flashing CM11 without flashing nethunter, if the display is working, then I dunno what to say.

Done that 3 times cm11 works fine, display goes to **** after flashing nethunter. What version of cm11 are you using by the way
Clean flash over 04/26 nightly took about 20 mins. No issues so far I got some more playing around to do before a final verdict. Thanks I'll have some fun with this.

Personally I used the d2lte latest nightly.
What good is this to the S3? I wasn't aware that this phone can go into monitor mode at all.

Information
I present you with Android 6.0.1/CM13 for the Sprint Galaxy SIII. This is a WIP, I try to work on it when ever I get a bit of free time.
I will try to post a new weekly build once a week or sooner.
The newest build will be at the top of the downloads list.
Prior to Installation
1) I recommend using and/or upgrading to TWRP 3.0.0 (Install version via 2.8.4 zip, then flash 3.0.0 img to upgrade)
2) Make a complete full backup! I cannot stress this enough! Boot, System, Data, Cache, everything. If for some reason this build doesn't work out for you, no biggie go restore.
3) You must be on the NDC modem or it may not detect your sim.
4) Full wipe of the system is required (Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache). CM13 is based off android 6.0.1 and is a completely new version requiring a complete new install.
5) Download and have ready in the device's sim card Gapps Version "Arm, 6.0, Pico". (Other variants may work, I have not tested them all)
6) Download and have ready in the device's sim card the new d2spr CM13 Rom (download below).
Installation
After wipe is fully properly completed...
Reboot in to recovery and go to "Install".
Search for the new Rom where you stored it in the sim and select, DO NOT "Swipe to confirm Flash" at this time, we have to install Gapps first.
BEFORE you swipe, select "Add more Zips" and search for your GappsVersion "Arm, 6.0, Pico" and select.
If you flash the Gapps after the CM install, you will have an error loop so flash during initial install is a necessity.
Now proceed to "Swipe to confirm Flash" and Reboot.
First boot takes some time, but shouldn't take more then 10-15 mins total and progess shouldn't be stalled at any point past 5 mins.

Build Notes
I've noticed that the APN settings are hard to modify. This may change at a later date, but for now it is what it is. If you use an MVNO like do, you will need to flash the APN settings during the rom flash process just like Gapps. I personally have boost mobile and Moped_Ryder has made a very well Boost Mobile zip, though I had to modify slightly with the settings to get LTE working consistently. If you need a zip for your carrier, download the Boost Mobile Zip Ver-2.2 and use notepad++ to edit it to suit your needs.
Possible bug with Gapps. On my first boot, I installed Gapps Mini and was getting download errors from the play market. I re-flashed with Pico, seems to be working.
Very cool to see an unofficial build. Thank you very much. Support for this phone is much appreciated.
Nice work
New build up.
how will i get the NDC modem please?
how can i get the NDC modem or how can i install it?
So installing this ROM, I discovered that the galaxy s3 I have is not 16 gb is 12gb I wiped everything and still is 12 gb, is this normal for this phone SPH-L710?

thanksssssss
Wow! Thank you, is it my birthday? I will flash over the next couple of days. Thank you once again.
I have just tried to flash the gapps version. I flashed with Majisk and got stuck in a bootloop for 25 minutes. Went back into recovery, went through the wipe process again and re-flashed Palladium. I got the 'successful' flash message in Twrp, but when I went to reboot it said that there was no OS installed. I was able to flash the ROM that I was on previously (Pixel) without any problems. Maybe I had a corrupted download, sadly I don't have the time to try again right now, I will try again in a few days.

Am on the same gapps version and it booted jus fine for me. If the zip is corrupted u wont be getting successful flash message. Maybe try again afterwards when free. Also happy that u tried it.

I also guess the boot loop could be due to encrypted or decrypted thing. Try with f2fs instead...

Happened to me as well but i got it fixed by flashing the vanilla rom first and then let it boot, after that i rebooted back to the recovery and flashed gapps. Worked just fine. Hope this will help anyone having a similar issue
Any way to get rid of the home buttons and have a home bar instead ? Couldn't find any option like Derpfest has. Props for the great rom, I'm loving it and the battery life is just incredible.

Thank you very much. Which gapps package did you flash?
No good for me. Whatever I try. It says that I have successfully flashed, yet when I go to reboot it says that there is no OS installed, both versions.

Make sure you have the zip files anywhere in your internal storage. But not inside a folder within the internal storage. Because whenever you wipe data, system, cache and dalvik it will also wipe the downloaded files inside the download folder.

I kept them in the same place that I kept Pixel ROM and was able to flash that afterwards. Plus the APK's that I had within that folder and the Majisk zip were fine too. Weird issue.

Maybe you should try a different recovery?! I use Orange Fox and had no problems with flashing this Rom. Installed the Vanilla version plus Nik Gapps full package.

I was wondering whether my codeworx Twrp was maybe outdated. Can I flash Orange fox over the top of codeworx with a zip file?
Edit: Flashed Orange Fox, I'll try again.
Yesss!! Flashed it! It was obviously the recovery version that I was running. On the suggestion of @KeinePanik I flashed Orange Fox recovery and voila! (Thank you my friend)
My apologies to the developer and everyone else for flooding this thread with my issues.
I have been running the app for about 5 hours now and can report that it is really smooth, great battery life and some nice UI extras. Many thanks to the dev, will it go official?
