Lately Google Play Services is draining more Battery than usual, with my same SOT and setting. Wiped caché, and same behaviour
OS Stock 2.20.40.97 ZE551ML
G.Play Services 8.3.01 (2385995-270)
Been there. I ended up disable google play store, and then remove the update of the Google Play Services (so it goes back to the version that comes with the ROM). And recently I jumped to CM 12.1 which is good for my daily use, and it definitely fixed the battery drain.
I think the idea here is that , we install gapps after cm.
I have Asus Zenfone 2 with Cyanogenmod (CM) 14.1 . When I upgraded from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 , my battery started to drain because of high number of awakes done by Google Play services. After upgrade I realized that my viper for android, busybox, and root was gone. After I fixed them I rooted my phone again and reinstalled gapps. And that solved my problem in Asus Zenfone 2.

How to solve this problem? Any suggestion?
I am using the release option for the auto-updater in Cyanogenmod, and I updated this morning not noticing that it was updating me to a newer version of Cynaogenmod, from 11 to 12.1. After updating, Google Play Services can no longer log in. How do I fix this?
I installed viperonem8 on my htc after experiencing bootloop issues last year but now google maps no longer works unless I go back to version 9.34. Then if I use Android Auto it forces maps to update even if updates are disabled. So, I'm looking for a different rom that works with maps and AA. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Fixed: flashed LineageOS lineage-14.1-20180427-nightly-m8-signed.zip and gapps: Mini_Dynamic_GApps-7.1.x-20170121.zip
All is working now
Is it possible to completely remove all the google apps including gmscore from stock nougat rom ?
Actually I have an issue after disabling the google play service (in android 7.0) device goes into bootloop
In android 6.0.1 this never happened.
Any explanation 'll be highly appreciated.
I have just installed Lineage 16 and the battery is draining super fast. E.g. 30% during 6 hours of standby with mobile data and wifi turned off. What I noticed is that this does not happen in flight mode with wifi enabled.
I had Lineage 15.1 before, and the battery lasted 2-3 days.
Installation steps:
- removed data
- wiped everything possible
- installed newest stable firmware V11.0.3.0.PCAMIXM from xiaomiupdater
- installed official lineage 16 build 12.22.2019
- open gapps stock
- installed latest drivers/vendor V11.0.3.0.PCAMIXM from xiaomiupdater. I only did this after noticing there is a problem, but did not solve the issue.
Additional installations:
- magisk 7/manager 20
- youtube vanced
- camera 2 api enabler
All the network related settings are on default, no special setting. Do you have any idea of what could cause this problem? Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
When I've seen this last time, i switched mobile data to edge and battery was OK. Maybe you can improve situation with baseband update. Ask in your devices community.
