My Review :
I got this power bank for £29.99 from amazon and i think its worth every single penny. And I really like the high quality build of this power bank with matt finish. It charge my phone in 1 hour 45 minute from 0 to 100(S6 ) and This power bank’s high power capacity makes it great for charging multiple devices, especially considering its USB charging speed 2.1A output. And it allows me to charge my phone 3 time from 0 to 100.
The first thing you notice about this unit is it’s size ,weight and it cool designee . Believe me at this point I thought there is no way this device roughly the size of a smart phone could possibly jump starter my car. I've always used a heavy, bulky and cumbersome 18kg jump starter/battery pack, so it's hard to believe something measuring just 18 x 8.5 x 4.5cm and weighing 617g (vs 18kg!) can perform the same role - but it does!! I tested this unit on a standard car battery AND a van battery and both started perfectly ON ONE CHARGE!!
I've now used a few of these compact jump starters, been impressed by the performance of them all and they have each started our 1.6 Citroen Berlingo, 2.0 Diesel Renault Laguna and 1.4 petrol Megane. Of them all, however, this one seems to be the best, most powerful and it's the only one to include a red warning lamp to indicate a hazard - essential for roadside breakdowns.

Brother I got a similar equipment and is not as great as you pretend to be.
Sure the price is cool, you find it with 5 dollars on wholsales but I bet it doesn't have 12 Ah, if it has 10 Ah is good!
Second: the lights are not indicating the right amount of energy recharged.
I discharged completely, and started to charge with an 700mAh charger and the blue lights went on in a 2-3 hours interval and this is not possible.
Also is not possible as you say to recharge 12 Ah battery with 1Ah recommended, in just 3 hours as you mention.
This device needs like 10-12 hours with 1000mAh to make it full, and as I said the light indicators are not precise.
When I first got it, It had some power in it for test I supose, but it was showing all 4 leds lighten up. I powered my 33% Samsung Tab 2 7inch and started to charge till it reached 77% and then died!
I put it to recharge! In few complete cycles the life time will improve, but I don't think is able to recharge a 4Ah tablet 2 times! If is getting one time is perfect! Not with the tablet open, at least!
Another thing people should know is they should use their original cables, the connectors don't fit on my tab, and on an old Sony Ericsson phone. Both of them are the wrong size!
The design is nice, the price is good, but I don't think is a good battery pack!
Another thing people should know about it, is not multitasking. If you plug in a Phone and a Tablet in the same time, is dying fast, so.. you must choose!
I recommend this product for his low price! Is not so big either, but the cables and adaptors are junk.
Good luck guys!

But everything's made in China?! (j/k, I know what you mean.) Most of the stuff sold on the ecommerce b2c sites are of the Shanzhai variety).
But isn't that always the case, you get what you pay for.
When I bought my Note 8, they offered me a deal to buy the Samsung 9000mAh power bank for about 600HKD, which is about 85USD. Expensive yes when compared to the typical cheap China stuff, but then again, I don't relish the thought of battery acid exploding on my leg. Though some might. I guess.

[Review] Discreet Powerbank lipstick tube style. Perfect for ladies (Gentleman too)

Well, I have this powerbank that is one nifty little gadget. Now, being a guy I don't mind carrying a bigger powerbank in my bag for those critical must charge situations. Whenever I'm out in the city and one of my female friends are around they sometimes need a quick phone charge during lunch. So I pull me powerbank out, connect a cable and plug in their phone. They're impressed by it but always say, "That's so cool, but it's way to big for me to carry around."
So Ravpower created this little guy. The Lipstick tube style 3000 mah powerbank w/ built in 3 mode flashlight.
Comes in a simple box with manual. Powerbank and a white usb cable. No wall charger included.

Item Weight 3 ounces
Product Dimensions 4.6 x 0.9 x 0.9 inches
Item model number RP-PB08
Size 3000mAh
Color Gold
Power Source AC & Battery
I offered it to a couple of my friends who are ladies to try it out and see how they liked it. It was an overwhelmingly useful gadget they insisted. Big enough to recharge their phones from Instagram,Facebook, Twitter, taking selfies or pics of their food but small enough to keep in their clutch or bag. Not only is it small but light in weight also.
Build Quality is excellent! Feels solid, nothing loose, no creaking or flex that I can tell.
If Gold isn't your style there are 4 colors to choose from:
Gold - 3000 mah
Silver - 3000 mah
Black - 2600 mah
Pink - 2600 mah
That being said, not all colors have the same battery capacity as the Black and Pink have small capacities of 2600 mah but the silver and gold has the bigger 3000 mah.
Pics:
The diameter is barely bigger than a nickel but smaller than a quarter.
Pic for size comparison:
Flashlight has 3 modes.
High
Low
Strobe
The flashlight is ridiculously bright and could be used to guide ships from sea if need be. A single button is used to cycle between the modes.
Press once: High beam
Press a second time: Low Beam
Press a 3rd time: Strobe
Press a 4th time: back to off.
Charging the Device is simple. All you need is a usb port or a standard wall charger with a usb port. The micro usb port is used to charge the powerbank itself. The full usb port is used to charge your device.
There is no battery indicator on how much charge is left.
When Charging a red light indicates that its not a full charge.
A blue light indicates its at full charge.
A few tests charging my nexus 5:
Starting @ 69%.
79% - 10 minutes
85% - 17 minutes
92% - 25 minutes
100% - 42 minutes
so in emergencies it does a good job for a quick mini charge till you get to a wall plug charger. It does get warm when charging your phone but it does NOT get hot.
It was able to charge:
Nexus 5
Nexus 7 2013
S3
Iphone 5
S2
Sansa Clip Zip mp3 player
So if you want a powerbank for quick emergency charges this is the Powerbank for you. It's small and lightweight. Don't expect to be able to charge your device multiple times before it runs out of juice itself.

Review of MPow 4.2A dual usb car charger w/lots of pics!!!

This is a review of MPow 4.2A dual usb port car charger. http://www.amazon.com/Mpow®-4-2Amps-Charger-Android-Devices/dp/B00HLHHBHA/
Car charger is probably one of the most common smartphone accessories. We all like to take trips, stream our favorite music stations, keep our eyes on the traffic with Google maps, make some phone calls, and maybe even have wifi hotspot running for other passengers in the car. All this is going to drain your phone battery in no time. That's why we need to keep our phone on a charger while driving. And not just any charger, we need something that's going to source enough current to charge your phone at max speed. Let's take a closer look at what I found.
Both of the MPow car changer units, black and white, arrived in a nicely packaged box with a front display showing the actual charger. Taking it out of the box revealed a very compact dual car charger, about 3.5" in length and almost 1" across usb port side. When I say compact, I mean it was a size of a regular single port charger, while they were actually able to squeeze two in there. Another good point about compact size is that it won't take too much room in cigarette outlet and won't interfere with anything next to it. Once plugged into the outlet, it has a nice soft blue light to indicate the power is on and also to guide the connection in the dark. I do have to note that usb connection itself is a bit on a tight side which is actually good to hold the cable without falling out. But at the same time pulling on the cable will actually remove the charger itself unless you hold it down with your hand.
The most important test is if it can actually deliver 2 amps per port. A lot of the chargers claim they do, but it only works when one port is plugged in. In this case, I was able to confirm charging my Note 2 at max speed (the same reading I get from my original 2A Samsung wall charger), and I was able to do that while also charging Nexus 7 (HD, 2013 edition) which charges at 1.5A. Although I don't have two Note 2 to verify full 4.2A dual charging capacity, I have a feeling that won't be a problem.
Overall, I found this dual usb car charger to have great performance, solid build, and delivering it's advertised charging capacity without a problem. Covered by 18-months warranty and currently on Amazon for $6.99 (down from original $9.99, need to use code MPOW01CA at checkout) - this is one fantastic value!
Here are the pictures.

Good review. My car has a USB port built into the head unit, and it really isn't meant for charging. My Galaxy S III would just barely stream music via Slacker and hold the same battery percentage. If yoou're getting the same kind of charging capabilities out of this as you do with you wall charger, that's mighty impressive. I think I'll have to put this on my list of general accessories to get.
Hello Vectron, I just checked the amazon link, it's $7.99 now.

Thanks for pointing it out. I noticed they (MPow) constantly run specials on their products (car chargers, speakers, batteries) which gets noted in special offers section with a coupon code.
Perfect review. Might pick this on up.

Do you know the lowest price of a car charger? I found many car chargers which range from $7.99 to $14.99.

Review: Intocircuit 15000mAh powerbank w/ pictures

This is a review of a power bank from Intocircuit - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OSYLXKU
As phones have been getting more and more powerful over the years, portable battery packs for smartphones and tablets have been gaining popularity. There’s many different brands and variants available, and today we’re going to be having a look at a 15000mAh power bank from the company Intocircuit.
The power bank itself comes in a small box with some product information on it regarding the amperage and capacity, and inside there’s also a USB-cable and a small pouch to put the power bank in. The accessories are of decent quality and definitely are nice additions to the power bank.
So when it comes to the actual power bank, it’s made out of a combination of plastic and brushed aluminum – it really looks nice and a bit different compared to other brands. The power bank has 2 full-size USB ports that are rated at 2.4A, a MicroUSB-port that can be used to charge the power bank, along with an LED and a small LCD display that show the amount of battery that’s left.
When it comes to the actual capacity I must say that it’s pretty much spot-on, as I’ve managed to charge my Yoga 2 tablet (capacity: 9400mAh) and my Z3 Compact (capacity: 2500mAh) using it, before the battery of the power bank was fully drained. The recorded output current while hooked up to my Yoga 2 was stable at around 2A, and with a quality USB-cable reaching 2.4A should be certainly possible.
The main negative thing that I’ve to say about this power bank is the fact that it takes a long time to charge it up once drained, but that’s due to the higher capacity and other power banks such as the Xiaomi 16000mAh suffer from this as well. Charging the power bank 0-100% takes nearly a day, and therefore it’s a good idea not to let it drain completely before charging it.
So conclusion time – this is a pretty decent power bank for the price and it looks and performs great, and is comparable to other brands that I’ve tried in the past. The capacity is correct and the charging speed is decent, although charging the power bank itself takes some time. This is certainly a product that I do recommend if you’re shopping for a good power bank!
Pros:
- Good battery capacity and power output
- The included accessories (pouch, micro-USB cable)
- Decent build quality, and the power bank looks and feel great.
Cons:
- Takes a long time to charge up
Note that I was provided with a review unit of the above mentioned product, but that does not affect my review as it is solely based on my own opinion and experience.

Depending on how much your Raspberry Pi draws, let's say 1A, I would say about 11-13 hours at most.
Nice review. It's always good to have a back up power bank with you especially during a trip.
Can you charge the battery pack at the same time as it is charging other devices?

I'm not entirely sure about that as I've not tried it, but I think it may be supported.

[Review] Lumsing Grand A1 Plus Battery Pack 13,400mah - Inc Vouchers

Overview
Quick summary - great premium device, really solid and well balanced with two output slots to charge two devices. The hugh 13,400mah it enough to keep several devices topped up for quite some time. Despite its capacity its not too heavy.

Unboxing
Firstly I’d like to point out that im not associated with Lumsing, I work for a big pharmaceutical company, I just enjoy technology and writing reviews on things.
So in the box is the battery pack, a short black USB lead and the instructions. The battery pack has a monster 13,400mah which is just insane and enough to charge a Galaxy S6 up a few times before itself requiring recharging. The battery pack is gold metal with plastic on the top and bottom, the feel of the device is really premium and solid feeling like it could take a good knock should you drop it. Despite the capacity of the internal battery the weight of this doesnt feel too bad, weighing in at 260g which is heavy but doesnt feel like much more than some of the smaller battery packs ive reviewed. The battery pack feels very well balanced and isnt heavy down one end or the other.
On the front are 4 LEDs which light up blue to show the capacity. In theory each dot should be enough to deliver 3,350mah of juice so in theory each light of power should easily charge any modern smartphone. On one side is a button you can press to view the charge or turn the pack on when you want to start charging a device. On the top is an LED for which lights when charging the pack, a micro USB input and importantly two USB output sockets, adding to this devices versatility - the ability to charge two devices at once. The max output in total across both ports is rated at 3A, the output from each port isnt listed and it isnt listed if one port supplies more power than the other. Testing out each port with Ampre the average output for my Galaxy S6 was 1200ma, it charged my S6 fairly quickly (about 1 hour 20) from nearly empty so the device delivers a good wack of power.
The little micro usb lead supplied is a fair length, long enough not to have my phone right on top of the battery pack. Also a nice plus is that the supplied cable also works as a data cable, something that doesnt always happen with battery packs.
Overall I really like this pack, its nice, solid and premium feeling, works well and having two output ports is always a plus. I can see this being used by people away long long trips or away camping or hiking where there is no access to an outlet to keep your smart device topped up. The weight and size means that this would fit nicely into a pocket or backpack no problem.
I really like this and its my new replacement camping device to take when I go away
