I have a Note 10.1 that will not boot.
I have just replaced the battery and it appears to be charging and when I attempt to boot it - the unit shows the initial Samsung boot screen - then the blue swirl for a few seconds then it goes back the showing the charging battery icon. I can boot into the recovery by holding the down volume along with the power. I have done a factory data reset and cleared the cache several times with no success.
Can anyone help me as to what I should do next?
Thanks

download the stock rom for your model then install it via odin and it will work

Hi there
So lately I had my Galaxy Nexus i9250 plugged in my PC just charging, then when I received a message on it and tried to unlock it, it took a little more time. Usually when it does that, it shuts off and restarts, only this time it stayed on the Google logo for hours.
The natural thing I would do was to boot into recovery and clean cache and dalvik, so I restarted my phone into recovery and it gave me the twrp logo but stayed there for hours again.
Here are the other things I tried:
- I tried flashing stock using Odin3, it always aborts on system.img
- I tried booting into fastboot and cleaned cache and data
- I tried using fastboot to flash cwm and twrp but it didn't work
Please help me get my phone back to life, thank you in advance.
I have been having some issues. I know their are countless boot loop threads and have read and tried most of them.
To start off I have re flashed to newest 5.0.1 firmware. Odin will complete and show me a pass. When it reboots it will get half way through the android boot and just stop and reboots.
Tried the recovery wipe and clear cache
The question is can a bad battery throw signs that seem like a bootloop. Unplugged it will just loop the Samsung logo. If I plug it in it will bring up the Samsung logo and reboot to battery charge symbol.
I can only access the recovery when it's plugged in also. If it's not plugged in it will bring up the "booting recovery" for a second and then reboot to Samsung screen.
I don't have an extra battery to try but want to know if that would cause this issue.
update
Even though I didn't get any help I ended up changing the battery and it booted right up. Another saved note 4. ???
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 on 5.1.1 (Sprint SM-G920P)
I tried downloading and failing to install xposed stupidly. So then it was stuck on a bootloop. I then again stupidly did a factory reset thinking that it'll fix the problem (but it only got worst in my opinion) i then flashed twrp and tried to install the uninstall for xposed but i couldnt uninstall it because it wasnt any data folder to put it in since i ****ing did a factory reset. Anyways then i got frustrated and did an advanced wipe and cleared all the data... I am now just stuck on the "samsung galaxy s6 ... Powered by android" screen and i need help . I literarlly tried everything
Black and white Samsung logo showed up.
Initially I could only get to blue Downloading screen
By observing and trying various described ways I finally got to the Android recovery menu.
My current procedure to get there is here:
Turn off holding Down+Power
The b/w Samsung logo will automatically come up and stay that way forever
Hold Down+Power+Home until screen goes black and move finder from Down to UP while still holding the Power+Home
as soon as black and white Samsung logo comes up AND continue holding UP+Power+Home until Android flashes and recovery menu comes up.
Then I did go through the described wipe cash, and factory reset and some more wipe cash with reboot system in various combinations and always ended on black and white Samsung logo screen.
Tried to flash sboot but failed.
Then the new firmware showed up for sprint and i tried flashing 2 firmwares (G920PVPU3BOJ7_G920PSPT3BOJ7_SPR and G920PVPU3BOI1_G920PSPT3BOI1_SPR)but both succeeded but is still on the samsung logo screen
From the recovery menu only power down selection is useful as it does turn the phone off until I turn it on. The power button does not power off – it just boots back on.
Apply update from cache gives yellow text in the bottom of the scree: “APPLY_CHEK is deprecate.”
I have no clue how to use e.g. first 3 menu items.
Reboot to bootloader – just brings the b/w logo .
View log displays row upon row of things I have no clue about – pages of it.
On the very bottom of the screen – in yellow – there are two lines:
“dm-verification failed…
Need to check DRK first…”
Please help. — Max
Download the PI3 file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...uide-links-files-update-root-restore-t3366862
Flash using Odin. There is a video linked in the OP to show you how.
That should take you back to stock.
Do what Koop said and then follow: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
I also recommend this when you get Xposed working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-xtouchwiz-customize-stock-samsung-t3296878
I use this on my S6 and have experienced absolutely no issues.
Hey everyone.
I recently just got someone's well used Note 4 because they got it stuck in a boot loop. I powered it on, it'll show the Note 4 boot screen where is shows the title of the device and the Samsung logo, shut off, and then repeat. I attempted to put it into recovery (vol+, home, and power, and when the Note 4 screen comes on, let go of power) but it continued the boot loop.
I can however put it into the custom ROM download mode, and then maintenance mode with vol-, power, and home. However, this arises MORE issues, as when I factory reset it, it made no impact, and when I attempted USB debug mode, it went back into a boot loop.
Any ideas? I've had plenty of experience with a OPO and such, but haven't touched a Galaxy phone in ages until now..
Appreciate it!
I had a similar issue with one of my droids. Consider flashing the stock recovery via Odin, make sure there's no SD card in it and as always clear cache and factory reset via recovery if possible. Good luck!
Firstly thanks for taking the time to view this and helping me out.
Yesterday I was out and my Galaxy s4 mini l9190 was on and charging using a power bank, checked the battery status a couple hours after and the phone was switched off. I switched it back on and was working fine till I restarted it the phone got stuck on the boot logo (Samsung logo). I tried booting into recovery (twrp) and it got stuck on the boot logo for the recovery as well. When i reached home I tried using Odin to narrow my issues but it got stuck on initializing status.
Currently when I try to switch my phone on it vibrates and nothing shows up, same goes with trying to boot into recovery, nothing shows up just a single vibrate. Only thing works is Download Mode.
Recovery: TWRP
OS: CM 13
Things to consider:
1) Connecting a wall outlet to charge doesn't show the charging status.
2) Shows up on Odin.
3) Battery was supposed to change because I had draining issues.
I Tried:
1) Holding down power button for 30 seconds with no battery in place.
2) Charging it (no charging status showing)
Can anyone help me?
