My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Model SM-T210, Android Version 4.4.2.
Whenever I use an office or book reading app, and later turn the screen off, or let it go to standby mode, it freezes and I have to do a hard reset by holding the power button for over 30 seconds or up to a minute in order for the tablet to reboot.
When this happens, the tablet doesn't charge, all functions are locked (it kinds of bricks).
This happens with all of my reading/office apps: Amazon Kindle, Ultimate reader, SmartQ Reader, Polaris Office and Office 8 from microsoft.
I even formatted the whole thing and re installed everything. All the apps are from the playstore.
Any ideas how to fix this? Please help, I use this tablet mainly to work, so I can't avoid opening books and documents on it.

Hey Good afternoon.
I own a samsung galaxy tablet 3, 10.1 inches version.
it is not rooted but i sideloaded games on it.
while playing a game my device first froze then shut off, leaving a blank screen.
I am frustrated because every method i have used didnt work.
i tried the power button options along with the volume up and down, i left it charging overnight for 6 hours and tried again. and still nothing.
Also, i tired connecting to my computer by usb and it nothing showed up. it is also not showing in keis.
I am really frustrated, Can someone help me please?
I've got a note 2, running 4.4.2, a note pro 8.4 running 4.4.2, and an asus win7 computer
i can run sidesync on the pc, connect the note via usb or wifi, and get keyboard/mouse sharing working just flawlessly
as soon as I attempt to do screen sharing, the note2 goes black (which it should) but the virtual phone just loads endlessly, and eventually times out. doesn't matter wifi or usb
if I launch sidesync on the tablet, and then the phone, the tablet see's the phone and attempts to make the connection. phone goes blank, and virtual phone just eventually times out, just like on the pc
has anyone gotten this working on the note 2? is there a specific version that works?
so, 5 minutes after the post, there's windows update notification, and the update is related to samsung USB driver update
do the update, reboot, and holy jebus, screen sharing works!
sorta
now I get connection (usb and wifi work) and I can see the screen mirrored. the phone screen does not black out, but I can't interact with it either. on the pc, I can see the mouse icon turn from spinny blue thing, to solid blue donut, but it does't interact with the phone. I can click the home, back and menu buttons on the bottom of the virtual phone, and they work, but nothing else does
bleh
any ideas?
So I was using S Note and it suddenly switched to S Pen only mode when I got out of editing mode (I think, I'm not 100% sure when it switched). I couldn't toggle it back (pressing the button did nothing) and this wasn't just limited to the S Note app, I the screen itself only recognized my S Pen, not my hand, regardless of what app I was running or if I was on the home or lock screen. I got it to recognize my hand again by removing Evernote from my running apps (holding down the home button) and going to the same note but using the actual S Note app (which I assume runs within Evernote when you open a note from the Evernote app). This has happened before but I just turned off the tablet and when I turned it back on, everything was fine.
I just got the tablet (my first!), mind you, so please bear with me if this is a stupid/rookie mistake but I can't even find an option to limit the screen to detect only the S Pen besides when I'm in S Note. I got this tablet refurbished so I need to know if this is simple user error or something's glitchy with the tablet itself.
If it matters, I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 running on 4.4.2.
Never had that problem in the Year I have had this tablet and can't say I have read anyone of complaining of that either but I could be wrong.
I could be wrong but I'm only aware of the setting in Sketchbook pro to allow it not to recognise your hand not sure of any other apps or settings (tbh never needed to use it apart from when using sketchbook).
Hi guyz,
I'm in possession of a Galaxy S3 Neo and I've got a problem few days ago.
Practically, the phone was connected to a power bank but it went bananas doing strange things during the charging.
I've rebooted the phone plugging off the power bank and the internal battery of the phone.
It seemed to be normal, but after few minutes the phone started to ask me to reinstall stock applications (wi-fi direct, software update, clock, help, neighbours devices service, video player, and so on). With some applications, clicking "ok to reinstall" they are ok, but others seem to be impossible to "reinstall" giving an error.
Idk what i can do, except a full-wipe of the phone. Anyway, I would like to know the cause of the problem (is it the power bank?) and how I can quickly fix the strange issue.
As usual, thx you
I have a wifi Note 10.1 2014, and whenever I turn it on to watch some Youtube videos before going to bed (about the only thing I do with it anymore), the tablet will reboot itself during every session. Once it reboots, it's fine. When I go to bed, I don't power off the tablet, but when I wake up in the morning, the tablet has usually shut itself off, to the point where I have to hold down power for about 30 seconds before it comes back on.
After doing some Google searching and found out people were having these sorts of problems that revolved around SD cards, I ejected the SD card, but that made no difference. I also hard reset the tablet, but that made no difference either. I'm running a Jellybean ROM, whichever one was current as of about Dec. 2013. Unless anybody knows of a definite solution, thought I might try a newer ROM. Does everyone around here have a favorite ROM in regard to stability?
