Anyone can tell if this works on a custom rom 4.03?
Hate to bump such an old thread .. but did anything ever come from this? Was anyone able test that can comment on what's happening?

This would be great. Much better than having to shoot a video of yourself doing things (installing ROMS, unlocking, etc) for posting. I use Camtasia on my PC and this seems pretty similar. I hope they are still working on a GNEX version.
I would test if still needed

What's the status of this app with the Galaxy Nexus? I could use it today and would buy it in an instant if it works with the GN.
I bought this about 6 months ago when i have sgs. Good app, i want it to gnex too
What's the delay on this? Is the system still blocking you from recording it?
I was asking myself why this doesn't work after I saw some videos in YouTube that were recorded on GNexii. Not bashing this app; it's more of a "how the hell did they do that" than a "why does my favorite screen capture app doesn't work yet in my newfangled device"?
OMAP4 and Tegra are kicking your ass, aren't they?

What gets me is that for a "developers phone", there seems to be way to many restrictions. screen casting, call recording, etc...

I think most restrictions were applied to the Verizon models, and devs simply gave up working on the GSM one (which is a "truer" Nexus, since it's actually the worldly phone).

How to get license free ?? I cant open screencast pro ...just waiting service forever... :'( some body help me...
I was having trouble with the browser back button, market install loop hole so I was excited to find this.
1. clear data on browser and market
2. go to market.android.com from a PC and search for GW
3. sign in like normal
4. when the drop down shows up with your devices (all grey'd out) use chrome to phone to send that link
5. the accept and download button should pop up in the market app on your GN.
6. hit the button and the app will install even though the incompatibility error still is displayed.

Turn on airplane mode, and wifi, and just go to the Android Market and download it. There are a few ways to do it, and more than a few threads on it.

Its been a while since I did it (the same day the latest update came out).
From your phone's browser, google "google wallet". Click the corresponding result that is the android market link and when it pops up a windows to use Market or Browser to open the link, just choose Market. Press install and be done. Now if they would just get the pre-paid cards working again...
You just need to click on a direct link then then open in the market app.

This was already posted by me. You're a little late. Not to be rude but, you, much like many other people are the problem with the over cluttered redundant threads on XDA. There's a search button for a reason. Now should anyone have any trouble, there is a lot more info there since we had to troubleshoot more than just the Verizon devices.

The basic method is probably the same, but doing it through Chrome to Phone was much more convenient for me. Worked the first time, unlike doing it through the phone browser.

I'm not arguing that it was any better or worse. However, it would have been more efficient to use a thread already in use. It's kinda like all these battery threads we have. Why do we have so many? People either don't want to search or just feel good creating their own thread. This place could be much more efficient with some spam control.

Did you add the prepaid card on another rom? Once you switch you lose the ability tobre-add until Google fixes the issue.

Hi jonathan3579. Full credit to you for coming up with the method - thank you!
Respectfully, I would disagree with your statement that the OP's post is just clutter. The OP provides a new approach to load GW, which I appreciate because I could not get the other method to work (prolly my error, but nice to have alternatives).
This new approach would be extremely hard to find on your thread "How to get Google Wallet (from Market) on Galaxy Nexus" - that thread is over 10 pages long, and I don't know of any way to sort through that many responses to find the one post with a usefull suggestion for an alternative method.
If there is a better way to search that I'm unaware of that will help me find a post like this that's on a 10 page thread I am all ears though. Thanks for your feedback.
OK Here it is the app you have all been waiting for. My Verizon for any Device, yes any ROM, any Device.
This handy little app will let you pay your bill from anywhere, yes you can fork over your paycheck to big red from the pay day loan store now. No need to wait till you get home, get the loan you needed to pay your bill, load the app up and Voila you now have the funds and the app to boot.
Posted this here since the JB ROM's seem to be having trouble getting a good working version of the My Verizon App, but theoretically this will work with any ROM or Device out there...
Give it a go, this is a MODDED version of a Verizon Built App so there may be bugs. Verizon is good for that.
Hit the thanks button after downloading... Your welcome.

This won't make the NFL app work. You need to download the Verizon single sign on engine. To make that work.. there maybe a work around for this too, but I don't know of one yet since it is now a subscription service.

Not really. If I cared I'd decompile it and the stock version and compare it with beyond compare. I was just curious how you can get out to work on any rom without some of the other files associated with it like libmotricity.so. That's all.

Not to be dic¿ but if you didn't care why ask.
But to answer your question, like many apps that require secure logins, my Verizon is nothing more than a fancy web browser. The screen you see is a web page. Turn off your data connection then load the app, when the page won't load you'll see the web address. The normal my Verizon app just stores your credentials so it can automatically log in, like storing a cookie.
Now how did I make it work, I found a Verizon app that had everything in place already, made some changes to the manifest and renamed the package so it would not auto update from the market.
very simple really once I discovered an app with a loop hole.

As well as this little app worked, Verizon didnt like it and ordered it to be removed from the play store due to copy write infringement.
The word Verizon can not be printed in an unauthorized way from what I understand. So it was removed.
See this link for more

The funny part is how ever, this app was nothing more than a web page viewer that used the mobile verizon website as it's home page.
Oh well, lesson learned. Dont use their website with out permission first I guess.
I'm wondering if any mod that can do a mod where we can use the multi tasking like the galaxy note 2

I was thinking about supporting devs and creating some kickstarter-like thing, so they could start developing it.

ha kind of they were just worried about incompatibility issues with apps, since you could do it with any app from the app store unlike samsungs, and how google works hard to give app devs a good platform to build on blah blah blah. its a shame it was a really cool feature. for any dev willing to try this you could use some of the cornerstone stuff idk where to find it but it would be a place to start at least
heres a demo of cornerstone it was only for tablets but i think with a little work it could run on phones

Who am I name calling? The existence of Nexus fanboys are a real thing. Whenever geeks are involved, there will be fans and there will be fanboys. Leading up the launch of the G4, a point made about the G4 was that there would be less bloat and more Google which is why the stock LG browser no longer exists and why Chrome is the "stock" launcher.
Nexus fanboys are very vocal when it comes to putting down phones they have no intention of ever buying since it's not a Nexus anyway. You don't see them so much here since this is a phone specific forum, but elsewhere in general Android land, they are there.

I'm simply stating the obvious. And that's great that you love to discuss technology without emotion. Good for you. Nobody called you a fanboy. Nobody called anyone in this thread a fanboy. The question was raised why the stock browser was removed and I gave my opinion on the matter.
Had I said nothing, there would still be fanboys. And if you don't believe "fanboy" is a real thing then you clearly haven't been on the Internet long. Go to any gaming forum and your eyes will be open. On the Android side of things, look for any self proclaimed Samsung knight.
