Depends which variant you are purchasing in order to detirmine the exact update that fixed it.
But end of the day. all variants received an update that fixed it. Although there is a very select few who're still experiencing issues.

I heard good reports on the AT&T "i" update.
Haven't tried it personally, since I'm rooted on "g" and am afraid to revert everything enough to get the OTA.
Also, still skeptical folks saying it's fixed are experiencing a placebo effect. I've tried many fixes other swore by and experienced little to no improvement.

I'm on T-Mobile. So on your newest variant for your phone, yes the touch screen is fixed. You'll have to Google what the newest update for your variant is.

Multi touch

I've seen that there is an issue with multi touch on this phone... has anyone found a fix for this issue?
Thanks!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
A lot of people have been reporting that the issue has been resolved with the 4.04 update. Unfortunately this does not appear to be a full rollout OTA update. Because of this I have yet to install it. Here is a link to the LTE (Verizon) only version of it.

[Q] Anyone tried flashing At&t roms on T mobile variant?

Any at&t roms work on t-mobile variant?
no they do not work.flash an att rom to an tmobile g3 and you will brick your device.the only way i believe it could work is if someone port the rom first, but i don't think is worth it since att and tmobile has pretty much the same stuff.but porting an international rom to the lg g3 tmobile thats something i would like to see soon

Older version works still but not the updated lollipop for obvious reasons. Not bad running if you are still running kitkat.

Guess if you don't read and just start flashing, yes, could be an issue. If you read before flashing you would see the faq section that says don't flash the latest on xxx devices but use the older version, exactly what I said.

Update from V10a - should I?

Hi all
I'm new to G3 phones, and I just discovered that the firmware of my LG G3 is V10a, which is, I think, the first one. Right now, they say version V20f is out...
I have been invited to do OTA updates, but... my G3 has absolutely no problem, everything works 100%, I have no special issue with this magnificent machine. :good:
So, i dunno, should I update? I mean, what's the point to update a machine which is perfect right now (for me). I'm happy with V10a firmware, so is it worth it to update?

It depends where is your phone from.
Go to this URL csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=[IMEI] and put your imei at the end.
It connects directly with LG's servers and tells you what is the latest version availaible for your phone.

If you look at the name of the file it will tell you which version it is.
You should definitely come to 20F. It improves battery life and fixes a lot of bugs, definitely worth updating.

Probably in the general section of this forum. There is a topic about the Lollipop update. I haven't read it but maybe they talk about what they think of the update.
But you should definitely update from V10a, later OTAs have a lot of improvements in them. You got an early version here.

When Marshmallow OTA for d851?

Hi.when t mobile g3(d851) gets official mm update?anybody knows?
You can track the progress on the t-mobile site. Right now its in the first of 3 phases so it could be several months before we get it. We may get lucky and get it earlier but only time will tell.
isn t there any marshmallow stock rom port of other version like cloudyg3 does, one stock rom for all variants, so we can have it earlier and optimized ?

You can try this ROM here... before you jump at it and start flashing away though, bare in mind that there are still bugs. Major ones for the D851 specifically include BT and video recording. I've flashed it and using it as my daily driver but if those features are essential to you I would recommend sticking to cloudy for now

Has Android 10 final OTA landed for the Sprint model?

I saw some mentions of people installed the beta/preview version. I came across this article that states it is the final version:
https://www.mylgphones.com/download-sprint-lg-g8-thinq-android-10-firmware-final-v20a.html
Has anyone tried installing this?

Yes but I mean if I do not lose my files when updating, like my photos or applications I hope and you answer me fast because I am about to update
I didn't lose any files.
Heads up that payment apps do not currently work with this update. Android Pay says this is not an official rom, and LG Pay requires and update for android 10 that doesn't exist yet. I suspect because although it might be official firmware, it hasn't officially been released yet.
Hmmm thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Wondering if they made improvements in the camera app? Also wondering if there is a battery drain. A lot of updates from several different phone manufacturer's are reporting battery drain after updating to Android 10.
Yes

I notice the battery exactly the same, the camera improved and added new modes, but mainly the interface and fluidity of the Android 10 device improved much more than with Android 9
I took a gamble and decided to install it. Maaananaannnnn am I love this update. What a refinement! Feels like a new phone so much more polished that 9 was on the g8. Also loving the system wide dark made aka night mode. Everything is so buttery smooth
Meanwhile T-Mobile won't say anything on when they will push the update out for their variant. :crying:
With the security lock screen are the numbers suppose to be so small
