Android 6.0 Marshmallow in G4 via Flashfire
This is for the H815 variant only. Files are from software version 20A
Warning! I only tested in 2 devices and all work well, but I am not sure is all the devices which work or not.
And We can NOT roll back to 5.1 via Flashtool, so bear in mind and have your own responsibility.
Note that Knock code has been removed but will return in a future update.
NO ROOT
Requirements:
You need a rooted device which is in Android 5.1 and installed FlashFire
Steps:
1. choose the "H81520A_00.zip" in FlashFire
2. choose "wipe cache partition"
3. click the thunder icon and wait....
4. it will reboot automatically and.... Welcome to Android 6.0 Marshmallow!

So underworled u can try it with full reset and Report. U can either do a dirty Flash like Jason and then if flashed do a reset....

you must not feel confuse Jason. I reported the V20A KDZ in a german Forum as it came out yesterday and everybody runs out and Flash.......with no success. But....was it my mistake? NO i think. everybody must know Flash it or not. You only share you knowing with us. It is ok Jason @Underworled He surly dont make a Video for you and Flash it again for it. I am sure they both have there personally Things installed and no fun to Flash again. But its Jasons choice of course

I think it would possible, I may try to downgrade to 5.1 using Flashtool.

LOOK , downgrading with flashtool may cause brick
If you want back to 5.1 without issue do following:
You need a TWRP Backup of 5.1 and 10D Bootloader and 10D Modem Files
1. Go to TWRP
2. Restore Backup
3. flash Modem of 10D
4. Bootloader of 10D
5. reboot and enjoy

That is a very old firmware.. problem was... this is a framework-res.apk from AMD6 ... so it will only be compatible with that

You can indeed use the old firmware you already have, but the latest one would be better, since you're already gonna flash something, flash the latest one, yes which is AMD6. Make sure you have the same device model as in the firmware name before flashing with Odin though.

Yes. You should, but make sure you backup a working system. Don't backup a bootlooping system or something like that (doh!)

For now the only career builds that were launched was Vodafone and the only thing different was the boot and shutdown animation that included the Vodafone logo.
Everything else is the same.
You could have posted this on other thread already open but that's just me saying.
I'm not criticizing but if every time a build is launched and everything is the same as others, and everyone opens threads for that then we will have many fragmented and useless threads.

I just updated my brothers Optimus G E975 with this firmware and it works like a charm. And this is also the first time I encountered flashing an LG phone, so I am kind of a newbie, here . I did it by folowing this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190&highlight=root) metodh. And in that thread there is a debate about red ROOTED signal in download mode after using that tool on G2, something like samsung flash counter on SGS2 if I am correct? Anyway, I am wondering does this affect Optimus G too? Because I wouldn't like to have any problems if I ever had to take that phone to service centre.

Hi,
I read somewhere that optimus g hasn't any flash counter. I send my g to service cause radio error. G was flashed several times and before sendig to service just reverted to stock via kdz flash. They send me back my phone with new mainboard. So i think they can't check how many times you flash it.

I've tested again and all is fine, not sure which ROM you had problem. Maybe your dev used outdated updater binary in the ROM zip.

I flashed the updated recovery then flashed cloudyfa last build, installed fine for me. Going by what is known so far I guess it's best to go back if we want to flash any of the AOSP based builds for now.

When I was installing the last OTA received an error message.
The Zenfone reboot and continued to work normally.
The problem is that now does not detect the OTA and can not do the update ...
How can I solve?

I solved the problem installing the OTA manually ...
But the fone is unroot after the upgrade (had used the method 3).
Can I repeat this method? It's safe?

yes, its absolutely safe. you can root again using method 3!

How to install OTA manually?
Download file from asus webpage, connect phone to pc and place it on sdcard. Remove connection cable, the phone will notifie a new update...

Or just install the pre-rooted rom...
My OTA is downloading to device, then I click install and phone reboot in recovery mode. My device is rooted. Do You think this manual update will help?

Do you have Twrp recovery?
To update by ota you need stock recovery.
Or maybe you need unroot first (only root by method 3 does not need unroot)

My devie is rooted by Using Temporary CWM. What You suggest? Unroot in suerSu is not working I dont want lost my data, settings and root. I need only to update with newest firmware.

ok. I downloading right now, but is 1.1GB! My ota downloading to device was 76.5MB. If I install it from Your source, will everything will be same? settings, wallpaper etc.?

I made a installation with the update file in my sd card because in the first time i tried the OTA installation i get an error.
Then the phone reboot and continued to work well. But had not done the update and never again notifies the new update
I never had a problem like yours.... so i don´t know if this is a solution for you...
I think in your case the problem was performing OTA without unroot... but is just a guess

I still can't update my zenfone2.... I am super happy with stock rom and root only( for some apk ). I just want to update with newest firmware.
I unroot my device, then root again using method 2, then unroot. When i tried to install update, still same, phone is rebooting and I can select only fastboot mode. After that nothing happened. no update.
Please help! I dont want to lost my seeting, apk, pictures and videos....
