Update prl and profile then redo the dun support then reboot
I did that after it said i didnt have the right plan. As soon as i updated the prl it says it encountered an issue and must reset so i hit ok and it redoes the activation stuff and reboots. Went in and did the MSL and still says i dont have the plan even with dun added and saved on both radios. Ive tried it twice now to make sure it wasnt something i was missing. Gives me error message code 67 stating i dont have the appropriate plan to use hotspot and need to add it.

Does it look like this
Yeah. Did that for both Lte and 3g. Went and set it all up and rebooted and it just gives me the error saying i dont have it and kicks me out. I know it works because the first time i did it, it was perfect but a few days after it just stopped letting me.

I really need help guys plz help me i dont how to fix this it all started when i apply the new wimax radio if u can help im a android fan
Might help to explain what you are trying to do when you get this error.
Also when requesting help, try to include the following info:
1) hardware & software versions
2) the recovery & rom you are using
3) the problem you are having
4) what are you doing when the problem occurs
5) what are the expected results
6) any error messages you encounter
Sorry if I'm long winded. I work in a help desk. Providing accurate details always makes it easier to find potential solutions.
you're probably talking about the "Error Code 67" message that says your Sprint PCS Vision username / password are incorrect or something like that. Basically that is sprint's way of saying its not recognizing your phone's credentials on its network. if so, the simple way to fix this is call sprint and go thru their tech support until you get escalated to a real technician who will inadvertently give you your phone's MSL. (or find out your msl some other way) and will try to walk you thru the rest of the process of restoring your data profile.
but, if you want to try it yourself:
open phone app, type ##3282#
enter unlock code (6 digit msl)
>Edit Mode>Data Profile>(Menu Button)>Restore

I get this once in a while. Usually rebooting fixes it.
me too; its really common, and a reboot fixes it

Rooted phones? ^^^
Have yet to get this error.
I used to get this silly error on my blackberry too so I doubt it is simply because my Evo is rooted.
Hmm. Can't wait to 67 for the first time.
im not sure if you said your rooted or on stock rom, if your rooted you need to be running the stock rooted rom, then go to the section where you can update your prl and profile. update both it will act like its not working but it will say updated successfully, reboot, then should fix issue.
Just update your profile and PRL whenever you get this after doing a reboot, and reboot again.
It happens to everyone, it just means Sprint's network had a hiccup, or you tried to turn on Sprint's hotspot app or HTC's wired tether without paying for it.

Ditto. I agree this usually works... Sometimes just a profile update is enough.
As far as the comments about "Rooting" being the cause... I saw the error 67 Data Failure at initial boot out of the box as the phone was being activated

Are there any other suggestions for this? both profile and PRL update attempts fail because this error blocks the data connection completely. I have also never attempted to use sprint hotspot or any other tethering options.
1) hardware & software versions
-Hardware: 0003
-Software:
--Firmware Version: 2.1 -update1
--Baseband Version: 2.05.00.06.10
--Kernel Version: 2.6.29-789bf291 [email protected] #1
--Build Number: 1.47.651.1 CL195459 release-keys
2) the recovery & rom you are using
-unsure?
3) the problem you are having
-constant "Error code 67"
4) what are you doing when the problem occurs
-anything, most common with any data operations or activating the 4g connection
5) what are the expected results
-not getting an error. having access to data
6) any error messages you encounter
-"Error code 67"

Just FYI, if you saw that on launch day (and especially if you don't live on the East coast) that was due to Sprint's authentication servers being overwhelmed from all the new data and phone activations. Literally took two hours and three calls to Customer Service to get my phone's data connection fully activated and clear out the Error 67 messages.

Have you gone to a Sprint corporate store or nagged customer service lately? What ROM are you currently running?
I was on phone for 4 hours yesterday with same issue...no data due to error 67....finally a hard reset solved my problem. It reprovisioned data immediately upon reboot. Just make sure you fully backup before doing so. I used titanium backup and I'm good to go now with data.

I started getting this out of the blue this morning, all morning. Kept trying to update profile, but that wouldn't work. Kept power cycling, update profile through 3g, then update profile through wifi. Eventually it went through, took a while and many tries though.
Sent from my blah blah blah blah
the thing was it was updating but then the error would pop right up shortly after... but now all the sudden its been ok... so i guess ill wait it out until the replacement gets here and if its still ok i guess ill send the replacement back

Ok so I rooted my:
Evo 4g
Hardware version 004
Hboot2.02
Software version 3.30.651
I used all in one Autoroot file in the forum "[ROOT] ~~~ HTC EVO - Universal Auto Root ~~~ v2.0 (Updated for 3.70)(1/4/11)"
It rooted fine and flashed the sprint lovers rom. It Also updated my software version to 3.70.
Problem is I cant seem to tether my 3g or 4g connection with my computer. Keep getting error code 67. Tied Wi-fi-tether, Barnacle, sprint hotspot. Same thing always Error msg, then my mobile network shuts off. If I turn it back on usb tethering turns off. Did I flash the wrong Pc36IMG? Any help would be great! Thanks

Can you use the mobile internet on your phone?
I would start with a ##786# and reset.
[You'll need the MSL to do so, use MSL reader from the app market, requires root]
Uploaded the APK in case you can't access the market.
I would try what is said in the post below first but if that doesn't work I would try this route.

Youll need to update your wireless profile and PRL and it should come back. Mine did that too after I was done testing it, it could be either the ROM or the recovery since they are both new. That should fix you up there but if it doesn't just shoot me a msg and help you figure out what is causing it.
Ok So I updated the wireless profile and PRL. Still get the error 67.
Mobile network is working.
Have MLS reader. It appers to be working(MLS reader that is)
How do I "start with a ##786# and reset".
Im noob but learning..
Try this bro

Let me kno if it works, just flash it like a rom no need to wipe nothing.

Whats the easiest way to flash That file? And have you tested it or am I testing it out?? Thanks
I think what we are looking at here, is a new Evo owner. Unless you are paying sprint for the mobile hotspot plan $29.99/mo extra on your bill, you cannot tether unless you flash a tether hack, or flash a custom rom that has tethering unlocked. You will always receive error 67 unless you either unlock your tethering by paying sprint their fee, or flashing a fix for it.
So is the sprint lovers Rom tethering unlocked? Or hacked

Err, wait a min. You are right. I think he if trying to use sprints tethering.
I don't think it is unlocked in sprint lovers, you'll bed to user the wireless tether app instead.

Mmmkay.
So I flashed the Calkulins evo tethering fix(above). I dont get any more error 67 msg, But My computer doesnt seem to find the connection anymore. It found before with limited connectivity b4 the .Zip flash. No connectivity really, but it was there. Any New drivers needed?
Also tried the ##3282# made it to edit then it asked for a password. My profile password has letters, Keyboard for password entry only has numbers.. What password is it looking for.
I am using (trying to at least) Wi-fi-tether, wi-fi-hotspot. Phone is set to USB tethering mode. Usb debugging off.
Found that easy-tether works, could just pay for the upgrade.. Anybody know how ET compares to wi-fi-tether?
Thanks for all the help

Ok, sorry I forgot about sprints hot spot. Look up "wireless tether for root user" on the market, that one works pretty good.

Thank you to everyone! I don't know exactly why but, USB tethering works now. Calkulins .Zip file was Key to getting rid of error MSG.
USB tether didn't work right away. For some reason Barnacle was the only one that my comp would recognize at first. After it recognized the connection using Baracle, all other apps started to work(wi-fi-tether, Wireless tether for root, etc). Thanks again!

I tried calkulins method and ##3282# with msl and updated profile and prl, and still getting 67 error, any ideas??
Ok guys, i need some help... my profile/prl update has not worked for a long time, i get error code 4 (contact customer service). i assumed this was simply an issue with the ROM i was using however i flashed everything back to stock with odin. I am running stock everything with the latest FG01 modems. I still could not update my profile or prl.
So i thought maybe something was messed up in my programing so i ##RTN ed the device... now it wont activated at all... i get the same error code when trying to activated. So now i have no data/voice or text.
Anyone have any ideas on what i am missing?
please close... was a provisioning issue with Sprint. I ESN swapped to a different device then right back and i am GTG... thanks

I had this issue ...
Fix: when updating both Prl and profile make sure you're on Wi-Fi. Period. If you are not it won't update.
So if you want simply flash the ROM u like, sign in to Google and let it update .the manually update both prl and profile. Again on WiFi.
This morning,i wanted to replace the miui weekly rom so i downloaded PA october 8th release, backed up my phone with cwm, wiped everything and flashed the rom and gapps. when i booted into PA my internet connection was off and when asked to sign into my gmail account, a wifi bos with some verizon information popped up and asked me to enter a password. confused by this i chose sign in later, thinking that my internet connection would kick in minutes later, i got nothing.
I tried making a call later and got sent to verizon's financial hot-line >.> i hung up. soo is there anyway to get my internet back? will i have to go back to my backup? is there anything i should know before attempting to go to my back up? im fairly new at this thank you in advanced for your help

Ok here is my story. I decided to downgrade my Note 2 I-317 back to 4.1.1 due to wifi issues I was having on 4.3
all was well once I got back to 4.1.1 so I decided to unlock my phone ( For some stupid reason) everything seemed fine the whole night so I thought. The next morning I woke up to not having a mobile connection then I remembered I forgot to pay my Net10 bill. So after reactivating the 3 phones I have the Mobile connection for the 2 other phones worked fine but mine didn't. Not knowing I decided to reupdate my phone again thinking I might have done something wrong trying to unlock it. then I bricked my phone not knowing about the bootloader issue I finaly figured out how to fix that issue but once I got back to 4.1.2 I still have no frigging data.
I need help here what have I done wrong and any insight on how I might fix this problem.............Thx in advance
Try Odin flashing the tz-param file in post #2 here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618447
ok I tried that and it still aint working I really think I messed this thing up when I tried to unlock it when I was on 4.1.1 I think I hit the sha256on instead of off
no matter what apn settings I use will not get me my 4g symbol. I can txt and talk just no data
I really think I turned off my radio or something idk very frustrated
1. Check with Net10 on the off chance they need to reprovision your phone/sim
2. Your APNs should be fine if they were working before, but here's a list of a few options to try jik ... http://androidforums.com/net10/676048-net10-byop-apn-settings.html
3. You could try flashing just the 4.1.1 lj2 modem and try the unlock again .. This might clear your issue if you did choose the wrong option since the unlock involves turning that setting off - uncharted waters here, though. If you do attempt this I recommend you make a efs backup first.
