My phone is not going into deep sleep, and hence my battery life is pretty bad. msm_hsic_host wakelock seems to be the one causing the problem.
I'm running OBAR. I did a full wipe before installing - everything else seems to be fine.
Any ideas?
I believe that wakelock is caused by the phones "radio" . Try turning mobile data off then back on. Let it sit for a few and see what you get. What kernel are you running?

OK I'll try that and report back.
Emotion kernel is what I'm on - stock for OBAR.
Thanks
Update: well I did the data toggle, but my phone still isis not going into deep sleep. Perhaps it's not the msm_hsic_host wakelock.
I took my phone off the charger for 30+ minutes and had the phone sitting there with the screen off. Note the attached screenshot.
Please help!
Still not deep sleeping....
Very frustrating...
Try flashing a different kernel. I personally run AEL kernel with great results.
Heres mine with AEL
But this is also with wifi on. It will be a lot more with just data running

Does AEL work with OBAR?
Link to more info? I couldn't find an XDA page on AEL....
Side note, I loaded Juice Defender from the play store and it greatly enhanced my battery life.... I'd rather not run this app and just let the Rom handle it's own resources.....

Try using the KangBang Kernel, some people say it improves the performance and WiFi/mobile network signal. Other than that UK out of ideas (other than full wipe and reflash). I'll see if I can get someone like @Teichopsia or @Glevitan here maybe they can help

Whick kernel did you flash? Performance or stable? I don't think the newer kernels by synergye are working with the newer roms by randomblame.
If you chose the performance kernel try with stable one which was working with for jellybean roms. If that doesn't work try kernel 0.2 stable. Keep in mind it may not work due to a few changes synergye made and randomblame needs to update his rom for it to work. I just woke up so I haven't read anything since last night.
On a second note, I haven't used his rom in a while so I don't know if it's rom related or if it's your phone. Make sure the battery cover is placed correctly. If it doesn't hapoen in another rom, well, then it's that rom giving you issues.
Thirdly, check in settings to see if
- go into wifi, hit menu, choose advanced
See if avoid poor connections is ticked. Uncheck it if so.

Hey guys I am currently in Canada and I am using a DTMO device but I am certainly not getting the kind of battery I was hoping for...here is my setup:
Device is always on airplane mode as I am out of the country
Running SlimBean Build6
BMS Kernel (newest)
Kernel settings:
Fifo/interactive with min= 384000 and max= 756000. The interactive governor has a hispeed_freq of 594000
As you can see I have butchered the capability of my S3 for better battery life as I don't game or anything but I am only getting 2.5 hours of screen on time on Automatic Brightness :/ (AIRPLANE MODE)
I have attached BBS images
I forgot to say, I also use Greenify to hibernate like 10+ apps including Maps, Zedge , Tapatalk etc
I was really hoping to break the 4 or maybe even 5 hour screen on time with airplane mode, and any help would be greatly appreciated!!

He says he did greenify maps in the OP, weird that it's still so hi. I just force stop it when ever I'm done using those kinda apps, music as well... with Airplane mode on and everything you should get more than 5 hours screen on time, I've seen people get that with signal. Weird stuff... what are your cpu states? might be another app causing wakelocks
Hey guys thanks for the response! My cpu states in BBS are weird but I here is the one from both BBS and trickstermod!
That is crazy weird. I would FULL wipe system Factory Reset and caches and maybe even wipe sdcards after back up of things. Do not restore system apps from TiBu or what ever you use to restore things. That is not at all normal or what would cause your battery life.

Aw okay I suppose I should do that. Should I stick with the same Rom? SlimBean has been good to me but are there any others Rom/Kernel combos that are good/better than my current setup for battery life? RC5 of Cyanogenmod maybe?
Thanks again!

Thanks but I don't think thats the best solution. I have butchered my phone in terms of performance and now I have to disable/freeze one of the most important apps of Android? I don't know doesnt seem right to me :/ Phone is useless without maps
Just do what I said, I don't freeze my maps and it doesn't act like that so I suggest wipe and reinstall things normally. I wouldn't suggest a specific ROM I have run build 6 and didn't have any serious issues on stock kernel.

It's not a permanent solution. My theory is that another app you are using is forcing it to launch. This would explain why Greenify isn't helping.
Okay I'm downloading RootBox and BMS Kernel to see how things go on a fresh clean install with no apps (no maps) and test it overnight on airplane mode.
Aerowinder I am afraid you may be right, I'll have to double check that on the new formatted rom to see whats up. I'll post pics tomorrow once I leave it on overnight Thanks for the help thus far!
No problem. 10-1 its another app and more so it will be gone without maps and possibly back after you reinstall maps. The fun of playing with your phone lol.

Back button not lighting isn't a bad thing, it actually saves battery.
Anyway, check the settings on display or try flashing a different ROM, the problem might be from the ROM.

By software you mean an app? If yes, I can't help from here. You can check the reviews of the apps you installed. Click all reviews then option, then tick the "reviews from this device only" if it is a bug caused by an app, I'm sure someone reported it through a review.

hello everybody, thanks for coming out tonight!
the problem:
no matter how much i leave my wildfire charging, it DOES NOT REACH 100% and the percentage that it reads at most is 70%
this problem occurred after i used Battery Callibration app to calibrate my battery (i tried to calibrate cause i thought that it reads wrong percentage)
is there ANYONE helping me out please?
p.s. i have root access and i have tried hard reseting (bootloader clear storage) and format \cache \boot \system \data in recovery and all......... nothing helped! i also tried several roms including cm7.2 and RUUs. non of them helped.
That is a hardware issue, most of us including me face this issue.I'm sorry, there's no real solution for it.

thanks for the answer dude
how come this is a hardware issue? we went through a software-related procedure and now it is about hardware!? i mean we didn't change the input voltage... did we??? it's really odd to me.
did it happen for ur phone after using Battery Calibration app?
what if i change the battery, does it make it right like before?
another thing to consider is what Battery Monitor Widget Pro shows. it says that my battery at most is filled with 900 mAh out of its 1300 mAh nominal capacity!!
what exactly does this app do??

I dont think that battery calibration app caused this..There mst be some flaw with our motherboard or may be it caused due to voltage fluctuations.I saw people changing batteries which didnt help.I dont know but no matter what you do,the problem is just there.

In that case I would make a backup and flash a complete stock rom (including stock kernel and a full wipe). It is the kernel that does the power management.

if it had something to do with the rom or even the kernel, flashing a ruu should have fixed it.
As others say, I also expect it to be hardware related, perhaps the app somehow changed certain voltage parameters and overburned/underburned/eated your battery cappacity. But I just stumbled upon this, and thought you might as well give it a try.
Good luck!

Whoa! I downloaded wakelock detector lite now and i see that i can make it work even without root. This wasn't possible an year ago when i tried :victory:
I'm gonna come back with the results! Thank you!!!
I had the same problem with my OP³ running stock OOS 3.2.7 locked bootloader and unrooted. The battery used to drain by 15-20% overnight and also got similar results while using the phone during the day.
Yesterday night i installed google now launcher. The drain came down to just 2% overnight. For the first time i could see "phone idle" in the battery stats instead of android system.
Will use the phone during the day and report back today.
I figured from wakelock detector that the oneplus launcher was keeping the system awake by creating a wakelock for its weather service in shelf even when the option was turned off. Hope this helps you too.

Yeah, i also have Oneplus launcher keeping CPU awake and last night i installed nova launcher. Now the oneplus launcher is not keeping the system awake anymore but in phone's battery stats there is still "Android System" consuming 7% (the most) with "CPU total - 1h 20m" and this process never stops!
I will keep it 1-2 more days to see if something happens and if not, i'm gonna wipe it.
