No, you don't need the bootloader unlocked to use Flashtool.

is there a way to force the 15.1.C.2.8 upgrade on my xperia M c1904??? mine is from CLARO colombia and my cellphone says that 15.1.A.1.9 is the actual version, i asked sony and the told me that is CLARO who has to release the update but i am pretty sure they are not going to release the update, because their service is S$%t.

Today I'm going to show you that how to Root Your Android Phone
Tested Devices :

karbonn A1
Karbonn Titanium S5
samsung galaxy ace
Samsung galaxy pop
Samdung Galaxy mini
Samsung Galaxy y
sony Ericson xperia x8
micromax canvas 2 and HD
Micromax Unite 2
Test It in Other Devices And Post Result Below.
STEPS:
1.Download and install USB Drivers For Micromax Bolt A40 www.goo.gl/RWrBqK
Drivers For KarbonnA1+ http://goo.gl/d51z6h
If you dont know about your phone drivers then use this [Guide] Install drivers for any device using Pdanet

2.Install drivers in your PC
3.Download Shuame (Chinese App For pc)
from Official wapsite http://shuame.com
OR
From mirror http://upfile.mobi/424048
4.install shuame in your PC
5.Now Connect Your phone to pc
(note:usb debugging must be ticked in setting/Applications/Development and drivers must be installed properly otherwise shuame will not detect your phone )
6.Now Open Shuame it will detect your device automatically. And After Detecting Your phone a picture of phone will be shown on ur pc screen
7.Now Click On The Second Last "Root" Tab From Shuame As Shown below in the picture

If Not Then Restart your phone manually And See that a kinguser will be installed in your phone

Go to service centre
but don¡¯t tell them that ur device was rooted just say that 'The phone was shutdown automatically and not working after that' and then they will flash whole software (rom).

Currently there is no way to root with locked bootloader. You need recovery to root at the moment and the only way to get one is to flash a kernel with recovery embedded in it, which requires an unlocked bootloader.

I'm on mobile currently so I could not see that. But that shouldn't be possible, all exploits (what we know of) are patched on 4.3 so the only way to get root would be to push files through recovery, requiring an unlocked bootloader currently.
I asked doomlord yesterday about if there were any exploits or tools and he said "No exploit currently works".

I did a TA backup in 4.2.2 with root then I unlocked the bootloader to root 4.3 through recovery and after that I relocked the bootloader with the TA backup I got earlier. And again, just search, if you had searched before opening a new thread you would have already found your answer

it says no ta found although the device is new and i haven't messed up with it

IF a problem happened to your phone , the place where you bought your phone will fix it for you , but if you rooted it he will take Charge for it .

ROOTING A12 STAR​
This thread will guide you how to root your Karbonn A12 Star..

Note:- We are not responsible of any hard or soft brick of your Device. Rooting voids warranty of your phone.
Now lets start with our Guide
1. Download KingRoot application from the attachment
2.Install KingRoot application into your device as usual.
2.Open the application and on the main UI,
3.Tap on the big green circle with a circle of lock in which you can read some Chinese text with Root button.
4.Tap on the big button to root next to the arrow.
5.It will take some time to root the phone.
6.As soon as you see a tick mark in the circle which means your phone has successfully rooted, you can tap the blue button below which will appear after the rooting has been done.
Tap on the button next to the arrow.
Reboot your phone!
Your Phone Is Rooted Successfully..
The application will install KingUser application

i rooted successfully and also made the full backup of the phone for spflashtools
but i am not able to make CWM recovery
the MTKDroid Tools throws an error saying something kernel gzip not found and splitboot.img not found etc
