M8 Verizon was unknown baseband after S-Off? - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have S-Off M8 Verizon with XTC2Clip box. And it was shown as unknown Baseband.
However, when I was checking into the bootloader by Imei. Imei still works.
I was on Verizon 5.0.1 Stock RUU.
How can I repair its Baseband.
Thank you very much.

Bad model id and relocked bootloader.

Hello all. I'm using a verizon m8 on tmobile (the model i have is CDMA and GSM) I tried to change the modelid to flash new firmware, but I must have done something wrong and now my model ID says "modelid: tpms:tpms:-:ukonoto".
Also, my bootloader now says "relocked" and I cannot access recovery, only fastboot. I have s-off and am rooted
So, I am curious what commands or steps I need to take to fix my model ID, and how can I get my bootloader back to locked as opposed to it saying "relocked" And lastly, what can I do about not having access to my recovery?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
used sunshine support and jcase helped me out

How can I flash an official RUU?

I download the official ruu from htc official website
I relocked my htc m8, and reboot to bootloader, run this exe, but it cause an error with code 155. btw, my htc model number is m8w exactly.
Thanks for any reply.
Did you verify the bootloader screen says RELOCKED?
Also, it appears that M8_w is either Sprint or Verizon. If you tried an RUU for another version, it will fail with the wrong CID and MID.
You can not flash an RUU for another version if you have the Sprint or Verizon versions (brick risk, even if you s-off and change CID and MID).

Us unlocked sprint ruu?

Am I able to flash a us unlocked htc 10 with a sprint ruu to use with sprint service? Will this mess anything up if i try? I have bootloader unlocked and s-off.
BUMP needed here. I frankly don't know. I wanted to try this with my TMOBILE 10 but I don't know if it will work.
Only one way to find out. I had a guy try the inverse of this last night. He flashed the unlocked RUU on a sprint device and then flashed the sprint radio, but to no avail. IMEI and Service was not working.
But, people have used the unlocked version on Verizon by flashing the Verizon radio, I'd assume it would also work for sprint.
well, I tried flashing the ruu to no avail. I kept getting a error 155. I have relocked the bootloader and got the same error. I am going to try to s-on and re s-off with s-off and locked status instead of Relocked status when I get home from work tonight. I will update this post when I have a better answer.

[Help] My HTC M8 Won't Update to Marshmallow, no matter what I try

I recently bought a HTC One M8 running on lollipop 5.0.1. I have tried to flash most of the marshmallow ROMs and RUUs i could find but none works. I think it's due to conflicting hardware/software numbers. On the lower back, the model number says it's the sprint version (0P6B700), but in the bootloader, it says the model is HTC M8_wlv and getvar says model id: 0P6B20000, and cidnum: 11111111 which I think is the verizon version. The phone is S-off, and the bootloader is locked.
Whenever i try to flash an RUU is always says ERROR 155, and flashing a zip via fastboot always ends up in an error.
Help will be much appreciated.

The model ID on the back cover is meaningless (can't be trusted). We often see the back covers replaced by resellers, usually to "remove" a US carrier logo on the back cover. The getvar data is what you need to go by.
m8_wlv means its the Verizon version, which also means its really dangerous to be trying different RUUs while s-off. Reason being, the Verizon version can only use Verizon RUUs. Other M8 RUUs won't work, and may result in a permanent radio brick. So the fact that the other RUUs failed to install, is a good thing in this case.

For the US variants, you need to flash the Marshmallow firmware.zip before you can RUU from Lollipop to Marshmallow. Otherwise, you will get Error 155.

HTC M8 SPRINT has no connection.

Guys...help. My HTC M8 SPRINT has no connection to a carrier. I dial #06# no IMEI. I go to the fastboot mode (use fastboot getvar all) I see IMEI.
looks like radio is bricked. Hot to fix iT?
Did you do something to cause this condition? Tried to flash an RUU, firmware or radio? Is the phone s-off? SuperCID?

For what reason did you reflash that RUU? What was done to the phone previous to that?
When asking for help, it's best to give as much background info as possible; not just a few sentences on the present condition. Knowing the history might give us a clue in troubleshooting.
Also, do fastboot getvar all, and post the results (delete IMEI and serial number before posting).
