Carrier Unlock?? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

I had my phone unlocked through tmobile. I ended up leaving tmobile and they aren't working with me to pay off the phone. I currently have it working on att but I'm worried that in a couple months it's going to lose service bc they blacklisted it. I'm on att prepaid. Does anyone have a personal experiance with a bad imei tmobile phone working on att prepaid or even another prepaid service like straight talk or even verizon?

I had an issue with Verizon once with a note 3. It was a Verizon phone and I flashed a Beanstown rom and this tool called Casual by Adam Outler and it removed the lock bootloader and installed a patch to stop the update from we very coming through its been a couple of years ago but search like that. But in most cases if they unlocked it your fine. I'm still with them and have been for 6 years.

carrier unlocking AT&T from KitKat

Haaa, AT&T! So my AT&T Note II has been off contract since I got the Nexus 6 back in November on launch day (perfect timing, eh?) Anyhow, since it was off contract, I asked the death star for the unlock code through their web page specifically for that, and they gave it to me. In the instructions included with the code, they gave a very terse warning that after five tries it would be permanently locked to AT&T. Why? Pretty crappy if you ask me. Further, what they didn't tell me was that if the phone is on KitKat, the unlock code won't work unless you do some very specific things in some hidden menus. So I burned up my five tries and failed. Then I found the page that listed the specific steps, did them, and voila... unlocked. Tried and tested using the Tmobile sim from my wife's iphone 6. Freaking AT&T.
Rant alert:
I commonly switch my old grandfathered AT&T unlimited iphone data sim back and forth between old phones just for fun. But come to find out, if I put the same sim into my cellular 2014 ipad air, it will not work. But if i put my wife's Tmobile sim into my 2014 ipad air, it works great. AT&T blocking tablet data with a phone sim. Tmobile doesn't. Freaking AT&T. They suck. If I didn't have the grandfathered unlimited data plan from back in 2007, i'd dump them like a bucket of pig slop.

so what are you trying to do, carrier unlock your note 2 which is currently on kitkat, to use any sim?
unfortunetly, the only way you can do this is to flash, using odin and in download mode, the stock 4.1.1 rom of your carrier (or any which has 4.1.1) from here and then doing the following steps from here.
Only thing is, that it will cause you to trip the counter.... and doesn't seem to want to go back to 0 (due to some hardware thingy)... but since you're already out of warranty, shouldn't really matter.
Anyways, once you have completed that, and tested with a different sim and confirmed it working, you can then go ahead and flash back the kitkat rom (4.4.2) of your carrier (or any other you want) using odin again and that's it. your phone will be back to its official state minus the knox warranty counter still at 1.
edit: Unfortunately.... the speed of the downloads of the images SUCK for the rom images... stupid hosting site.... anyways i had to leave it overnight... which i'd recommend you doing if you cant find any other location with those images...
No mate, my note 2, IS carrier unlocked. Att gave me the unlock code after my contract ended. Their instructions for using it were incomplete if you had ungraded to KitKat which I had, but I figured it out and now I have full carrier unlock.
What I have not solved is being able to put my att phone sim into my att iPad and have it work. If I put my wife's T-Mobile phone sim into my iPad, it works fine. So it is att that doesn't let us swap our sim back and forth between phone and tablet. T-Mobile doesn't do this. Not sure if Sprint and Verizon have the same hostile altitude.
I have grandfathered att unlimited data form the original iPhone. But their douchey attitude about swapping the sim between phone and tablet may be enough to drop them altogether if project fi works out for me.

Sprint Galaxy S8+ not working on Verizon?

Okay so long story short, I have a Sprint Galaxy S8+ I preordered and outright bought (for $850) directly from Samsung in April. This last month I decided to switch with my family to Verizon. Turns out the IMEI of the phone is not recognized by the Verizon network and my phone technically works but always shows I am on roaming. Is there anyway to fix this? The phone IS unlocked I got it unlocked by Sprint, and no Samsung is not budging on helping me at all. They basically just say "Go back to Sprint the phone works fine". I was just curious if I rooted the phone and flashed a Verizon ROM onto the device will it get rid of the roaming and possibly make it able to be seen by the Verizon network? I know flashing the ROM doesnt change the IMEI but honestly Im stuck with what to do because neither, Sprint, Verizon, or Samsung is trying to help me.
You could try the unlocked firmware. I don't know if it would work but doesn't hurt to try

The Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile version of s8/s8+ won't work for Verizon. Verizon's dont work for Sprint either - even you flash it with unlocked firmware. Unless you change the IMEI, but it's illegal. Both Sprint and Verizon required the IMEI in their database. That's the reason I bought unlocked version from Samsung directly. My phone shows OPEN MARKET on sprint. I just ported to Sprint from Verizon to take advantage of the 1 year free service. But I can't use the internet when I'm talking on the phone.
Don't be fooled by that word UNLOCKED, it's still a carrier branded phone.

Any luck using unlock sprint s8 plus on Verizon? I'm on the same boat but can't get it to work on Verizon.
If anyone got it to work, please advise. Thanks

Moto G6 Play xt1922-7 issues

Ok long story short I got the phone off fb marketplace supposed to be unlocked but of course mt att prepay sim says invalid... and does not prompt for unlock code
looking into the phone it doesn't have a sprint rom as the rom ends in JETER_NA_CUST and not sprint... plus there is no sprint bloatware or anything.
but going to UICC Unlock it does say it is locked to sprint....
and it does say sofware variant sprint and software channel sprint
anything I can do to get my att sim to work
Nope. You bought a Sprint/Boost Mobile device which uses CDMA like Verizon. AT&T, as well as T-Mobile, use GSM.

I have mine on boost and the basband still says jeter_na_cust just like yours. It's a sprint/boost rom. You definitely bought the boost/sprint variant. It won't have sprint bloatware but it should have boost Mobile bloatware. If not the person you bought it from tried to flash the retail version from Best buy onto a sprint/boost variant. I hate to say it man but the person you bought that from definitely just scammed you. Because if they did take the time to try to flash the retail firmware then they knew it wouldn't work on att to begin with. Best you can do is either flash the proper firmware on it and activate it on sprint prepay or boost ( which tbh there both better than att despite what sprint has said about there own network lately) or you got a WiFi device. actually. Do you know the device model like mine for example is the xt1922-7 which is for sprint/boost.
It is the xt1922-7. There is no bloatware from boost either

Well either way the best you can do is get it activated on Sprint and or boost Mobile. It won't work on att.

Verizon unable to unlock my SM-N976V phone

Please move it to correct forum if this is not the right one.
I bought Samsung Galaxy Note Plus 10 5G in Oct 2019 from Verizon (all paid). I ported my number from Verizon to AT&T 5 days ago (after 9 months of using it with Verizon). My account is disconnected from Verizon and I have received the port is completed e-mail from them. AT&T has confirmed that the sim is fully activated.
But Guess what, When I put the sim in mobile it says another carrier is not allowed to be used on this phone ! For last 4 days I have wasted more than 10 hours staying in Verizon store and on call with customer care and they have no idea what is going on ! Customer care says the phone is fully unlocked. After 3 days of constant trying one of the representative said you have to reactivate the old account again and then try unlock again from the backend (which I have no control of !) . And, guess what, none of those good people are reactivating the account.
Verizon store guy doesn't help, just says talk to customer care and customer care says its unlocked so they can't do anything.
What should I do ?
About the only things I can suggest are:
If you have flashed firmware that is not the Verizon carrier firmware then flash it back to Verizon carrier firmware.
If you have disabled any carrier applications on the phone please re-enable them.
Make sure they are attempting to unlock the phone while you are within native Verizon coverage
I am not sure if a non-carrier branded firmware exists for the Note 10+ 5G, but non-carrier firmware has caused network unlocking issues before. The second idea is just in case you may have used a package disabler and disabled something necessary for network unlocking the phone. Last one is from past experiences where I wasn't able to complete phone activation because I wasn't within Verizon's native coverage area. The coverage I was in, while not roaming (or extended area) was not actually native Verizon coverage... I would tend to believe this would possibly be the same for network unlocking the phone.
Otherwise get a hold of Verizon and hound them to get it unlocked. Not much else can be done really... If the phone qualifies for being unlocked they should unlock it.
Filed fcc complaint
I have filed FCC complaint. I never changed anything in the mobile (didn't even know firmware flash was a thing until now when I started looking for solutions), used it for general purpose. I am in the same area where I bought it. Verizon store guy tried everything from simple reset to factory reset wiping everything out but nothing worked.
I have also ordered a prepaid Verizon sim. I will put that in and will try to get the phone unlocked.
I will post my results after 2-3 days.
Thanks for the quick reply !

Got it resolved.
Final Update:
Since I had filed FCC complaint online, Verizon Executive Relations department contacted me and She was able to unlock from her side with the help of 'Technical Management' employee on call.

No service after unlocking bootloader and new firmware

So I just want to say Ive been on straight talk for probably 12-15 yrs. I thought I knew all the tricks for getting phones to work on certain networks.
I prefer verizon in my location, it has the best coverage but also verizon sims have always been tricky to use on phones I didnt buy from straight talk. In the past Ive been told by straight talk that my phone wasnt compatible with verizon network but then I would just buy a junk $40 verizon/cdma phone, activate the sim in the cheap phone, and then transfer it over to my owned, unlocked, nicer phone and that would be enough to get calls and text. then set a couple APN settings and you have data and mms.
So.... Ive had a verizon sim in my LG G7ulm for 3 or 4 years now...or since it came out in 2018.
I have an unlocked version I bought outright. I cant remember if straight talk let me register it directly on verizon sim or if I had to do the sim swap trick mentioned above but anyway....3 years at least of zero problems.
My phone been stuck on android 8 and running slow so decided to wipe it and flash android 10 firmware. After doing so I can boot the phone and for 20-30 sec it shows its connected to 4g lte but then drops and i have no service at all. Ive tried all network operators/modes, Ive set APN...reboot, Ive tried 6 or 7 various different firmware revisions and this is the same result....no service.
I even went back to stock oreo 8.0.0 firmware but the problem still persists.
I contacted straight talk via chat which always is a laugh because they cant trouble shoot a rock that wont roll downhill and just tells you the device is not compatible. My daughter has this same phone and it worked fine for years as well but she took her sim out to test a different phone and lost it and when she ordered a new one it wouldnt work and they told her the phone was incompatible even though me and her both had these phones working fine for years and know they work.
So is straigt talk just blacklisting my phone? Did reflashing a new firmware cause the tower to re-verify the device and blacklist it or something? I can still pop this sim in my old phone and it connects perfectly fine and has service.
I just dont get it. My daughter when she ordered a new verizon ST sim and activated it her phone did the same thing and they said it wasnt compatible with verizon which is bullsh## because if you activate the sim on a different device then swap it over it works great.
Why do they care what device it is solong as your paying for service?
I dont know whether I should try a new ST verizon sim, ST t-mobil sim, or ST att sim now.... Att always works on these unlocked phones but service is crap in this area with at&t.
Anyone have similar experience or knowledge about this issue?
