Using Cm10.1 with data2sd
Hi Niks255,
Thanks for your work on wildfire s, I have been using your cm 10.1 on my wfs since its release with data2sd script.
Now, I really want to shift to your cm 10 for wfs as it is faster and smoother. Is there any way of doing this without loosing me apps as I have read on some threads that data2sd can mess with back-ups.
or it will be fine if I just make a back up and flash this cm 10 rom and restore back up ?
am sorry for the noob question, as you can see my name I am a really a noob in these stuff
thanks in advance

I recommend a clean installation. CM10.1 is a lot different than CM10.
You can backup your apps using Helium or TItanium Backup.

Hi, can I have only three questions?
1. Which gapps are recommended?
2. Is here something like int2ext?
3. Is here any special tutorial about installation?
Thanks

1. No. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240652
2. Well, yes. You can choose what you wanna move to ext partition.
hi, how about battery life and deep sleep compared to 2.3.5 official? thanks for this great rom and debugging, you rock!
Hi, so I am running now your ROM for the third day and it is awesome! I see only some graphic bugs like when I tried to connetct to wifi, the form appear in status bar and one time i get lock screen somehow in status bar. Will it be solved? Otherwise its perfect ROM, I like it!
Well, im finally runnin this rom, int2extv2+ seems to be flawless than S2E (maybe i dont know how to setup, but int2extv2+ its a lot simplier than simple2ext, so its a bit taste of irony for me )
Things i like about this rom:
*Its smoothier and stable, at least more for every android4 roms that i have ever tried on the WFS
*It's like able to daily driver, cause of good RIL (atm dont find any RIL comedown)
*Android4! every WFS will need it for resurge like a phoenix from the ashes, its so cool, thanks for made it.
*Customizations!
Things i think probably work better on next builds
*Graphic glitches in the framework u.u
*Battery drain with screen on
*Touchscreen sensibility
ONE THING PLEASE, PLEASE HELP:
I can't overwrite gps.conf in this rom, im trying this patch [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239713], tried flashable zip over recovery [aborted error:0], tried adb push [error: cant copy files files/dir] and i've tried root explorer and modify it manually, i can read it but i cant write it, i have tried changing permissions with ES Explorer and none of these things works u.u
Sorry my english, is anybody out there?
Hi, ive done some research about the touchscreen issue and i have found some interesting probes, lets see:
Its marked my finger direction and where it comes buggy, maybe in newer versions it works properly so a touchscreen fix maybe could be ported from cm10.2 or cm11, if not please tell me how can i can help u!
Thanks for this rom, battery life with screen off is SUPERB and its great! i'm fascinated with this rom!
Hope it will be helpfully
PLEASE ANYONE COULD TELL ME IF A RIL (RADIO INTERFACE LAYER) IS PRESENT AFTER A FEW ACTIVATIONS/DEACTIVATIONS OF IT OR 2G/3G SWITCH?
Please, im facing this problem and i don't know if my friend just bugged something or its a bug on al cm-branched roms, or if anyone faced this and get some feedback to fix it, please i love this rom but this bug make it unusable for my dear friend...
Love u xda, hope anyone read this and help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee D:
no problems with RIL here, what problems exactly are you having
also good work nik
i had a problem with TTS too but its relatesd to the Gapps thats used, you have to use full gapps to get the best experience
from here is what i used , gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
and do a full wipe in recovery
wipe factory reset / data
wipe system (advanced-Format system) (this helps on wildfire s for some reason)
- flash cm10 rom zip
- flash cronmod int2ext+
- flash gapps gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
if this improves things for anyone else, let us know
hope this helps
also ive been getting russian text here and there
i think the reason might be, errors in build.prop
you have duplicate entries you have EN and RU
also they are incorrect and should be like so
British english
ro.product.locale.language=en
ro,producl.locale.region=GB
American usa
ro.product.locale.language=en
ro,producl.locale.region=US
you have it incorrect
=ru, =ru
and
=en,=en
Hello everyone,
does any of you using Cyanogenmod rom (latest nightly build) has been able to make USB OTG working?
i'm looking to listen music with my ODAC amplifier and sadly this is working with the stock ROM & not with the enhanced ROM
thank you in advance
Try with my builds of cm-12.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/orig-development/v500-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3130490
will i have to do a fresh install or can i install it on top of my existing ROM?
i did search on your thread but didn't find any info related to OTG, does it work on your side?

You can install on top of cm-12.1 official builds without wipes. OTG works as expected, that's why nobody complained about it.
Thanks a lot, your ROM supports OTG as said and now i can listen my music with my DAC.
Thanks again!!!
Hey,
Recently broke my phone and bought a Find 7 as a replacement. Hate the OS so started searching for ROMS etc. Never flashed anything or rooted anything so everything I've done so far - I've just learned.
I basically want to get as close to android 6.0 marshmallow stock as possible. Which ROM is the best for this?
So basically, I've tried to flash CM13 (latest release) which I got directly from their website, all goes well however when the phone boots the screen is blank. Volume rockers work, capacitive buttons work and haptic feed back there but screen is blank. Not sure what the problem is.
ANY help at all is appreciated.
I have the Find 7 QHD version which I think is the 7S? (X9076)
Thanks all!
1) You have to flash CWM or Twrp recovery to your phone. I recommend TWRP 3.0.2. Download it for your OPPO Find 7.
Flash it. Can be done via ADB.
2) You need micro SD card formatted by the phone! Not necessary but recommended.
2) Then download needed ROM( I like crDroid : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3171600
but it's developer left it. So no further support planned) to SD card(on PC of course).
3) Put the card into the phone.
4) On the phone: go to recovery mode. Wipe data, system, cache.
5) Install ROM from the micro SD card.
That is all. Enjoy it.
Sent from my X9077 using Tapatalk
You can also check out resurrection remix rom. Find the official thread in xda for find 7. As for your screen being blank it maybe because you have a new lcd panel which the official cm rom does not support. Try flashing omni rom instead. Last nightly is from aug 30. It is very stable and very close to stock android.

Hey guys,
Many thanks for those tips (especially for the LCD patch - I'll have to try that).
So CM seems to be the best for Find7 at the moment but doesn't support unified storage? Does this mean I'll have this silly app storage limit? Anyway around it using CM?
As for the rest which is best (close to stock, stable, no bugs) -
RR
Omni
Nameless
Thanks
Omni is close to stock and very stable. RR and possibly nameless are both cm based.
Used omni for a couple of months and now using rr for the last couple of days. I would choose rr because of all the additional features.
Both are great daily drivers. Both support lvm so you can unify your storage in coloros and then flash either rom.

Hmmm,
CM thread has loads of additional things like installing some of the default apps like camera etc and how to get rid of all the bloatware.
I'll probably try nameless first since it seems to be the most popular next to CM. Its hard choosing one since theres so many! Out of Omni and RR which do you think is faster? What features does RR have that made you switch over to it?
If you truly want a stock like experience without too many features and full stability in your software then I would recommend Omni for you.
RR and DU have a lot of extra features relating to various visual effects that can be tweaked to your liking which can make your software look pretty, if you are interested in that sort of thing.
Cm is also stock like experience with some bugs here and there, nothing too big.
Nameless is based on cm with a few extra features but personally that Rom gives me bad battery life. (can be different for you)
Exodus, Mokee and Crdroid are just better alternatives to CM regarding features.
Edit: There are Roms that provide you with the option of LVM and there are those which only support stock partition. (Lvm is a way to enhance storage capacity).
Cm and a few other Cm based Roms that do not support lvm can be used with the chinese partition instead which also increases storage. But that is a bit lengthy process and for someone new like you I would recommend you to stay with a Rom like Omni which does support LVM.
Hope all this helped somehow

Jepp, thats the last update for it.
It never got the Lollipop or Marsmellow.
But If you root and install recovery you can install this rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...0-xsm-t520-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-t3466579
It's amazing and gave me a whole ''new'' Tablet.
Blazing fast, really good battery and stable!
That rom is much faster, using less memory and gave me more battery than the orginal TouchWizz 4.4.2 firmware!

Yes, do the steps from the TWRP recovery thread and install, TWRP and Superu.
Then you can just flash the rom and install gaps and restart.

I have not tried the other rom, but people say it's stable and nice, of if you are not in the absolutte need of an MM build, try det Nougat....
I can just talj for the MM build since I have used it.
You can not go wrong with either of them :good:

Have been working perfect since day 1 here, no problems at all.
Try Nougat build then.
Home button is working, have to be problem with the newest Gapps. Mine are 4 weeks old.
As for the storage you just plug it in and drag down from top, then select tap usb for charging and select file transfer.
As for lock screen just go into settings and select lock screen then swipe, as always....

Nah, I see other people have this problem also, maybe it's the new Gapps, try this from orginal thread.
Maybe try this to fix home button, from orginal ROM thread.

All of the gapps should work, so have to be something wrong with them.
You just choose the gapps after how much of Google thingys you want installed.

Find an older version of Gapps, or do one full start after install before installing the gapps.
Have never run into this so I do not know.
But read about it in the orginal rom thread, maybe som other tips there.
Myself, I do not change to any 7.x.x bul\ilt before Xposed is up and running.

Very strange:
When you reinstalled, did you do a clean install, with advanced wipe in TWRP and wiping everything a couple of times before innstalling rom?
Also did these things work on first boot? When not having Gapps installed?
What should i wipe to clean install ?
Important
Repartition your phone before installing this ROM

Hello Sofiane Omega,
First of all, thank you for this amazing ROM for Nokia X. This ROM is faster than the previous Lineage 13 for Nokia X.
For those who could not install this ROM, please read and follow the instructions carefully.
In my case, I could not use builder.prop in the post.
After I installed the ROM, I installed Delta GAPP in this link
I need Google Play to install an app for chating and I could not make MicroG to run Google Play service. So I use Delta GAPP instead.
Any questions about installing this ROM are welcome. I will try to answer as much as I can.

Try repartition manually from the link in the post. I also could not get the repartitioning zip to work.
You also need TWRP 3.1.1 or may be 3.2.1 to install the ROM.
This ROM is great. Hope you can install it soon.

Hi @siamese007
Did dual sim work with this ROM?
Anything that you feel not working.
I am thinking about giving this a try soon!

The dual sim works fine. I have not tried all of the features. But from my daily use, this ROM is good enough.
The only problem is GAPPs. I am using Delta GAPP. Once I install Delta GAPP, phone is slowing down.
I tried to use A GAPP but the system partition is not enough for this. And I don't know how to re-partition to create bigger system partition.
If someone can modify A GAPP to use with this ROM, it will be perfect. A GAPP is very light and can be used with old phone really well.

Regards,

so regarding build.prop use this file and flash it some problem will get fixed
and for gapps they slow down the phone a lot that why i never used them i download from apkmirror, apkpure or f-droid and you better use lite version of what you want to use (fb lit,m lite, line lite..etc)

Hello Sofiane Omega,
Thank you for your attention.
I have tried A-GAPPs for Android 6.0.1 in this link.
Before this, I tried microG for GAPP in this link but could not get the Play Store up. I have tried microG on Samsung Galaxy S in this link. This is very light weight. I don't know how the developer create this microG for his build of Samsung Galaxy S1 ROM. The ROM runs very smooth with this microG and I can enter Play store that I need.
Your ROM is very cool. Works best so far for Nokia X. Really smooth for this limited RAM.
Regards, :good::good::good:

OK. No problem.
I may try to repartition to increase system partition for install A-gapp.
Nokia X is very limited resource. I used to try install many apps and the phone brick in the end.
Thank you anyways for the nice ROM. :good::good:
