Use Flashtool and reinstall the ROM. Now, I know you said that the buttons combination does not work, but it must work when you put your phone in flashmode by plugging in the cable in it while keeping pressed the volume down button. It must work, this button combination has nothing to do with the kernel. So try it.

Hey, guys I need some help here. Please, I need it so bad.
I bought my Xperia Z1 Compact about a month ago, and today when I was updating my apps suddenly it turned off. Then, I turn it on again but it keeps restarting after it showed the Sony Logo. As same that it did when I tried to charge it plus the red LED blinking. So I decided to hard restart it using the PC Companion through the update software menu. After following the instructions, I turned on my phone and it keeps restarting after showing the Sony Logo. I did the hard restart using PC companion several times. But, it keeps restarting after showing the Sony Logo.
And now, when I press the power button, it only vibrate and not showing anything on the screen. When I tried to charge it, the red LED keeps blinking over.
I need your help, I don;t know what I must do now. So please, help me.

If you didn't unlock the bootloader and if you didn't root it, just take it back, as you still have a warranty... You'll get new one...
Use flashtool to download the official ROM for your model and if you want to, region. Follow its instructions to flash the ROM. To enter flash mode, hold power+vol up until it vibrates for 3 times to shut it off and when flashtool instructs you to turn it on, hold vol down and connect the USB cable.

I believe you have a battery issue here. Need to change the battery. You can find one at aliexpress. I myself had the same problem. Changing the battery solved the problem. Youtube video for disassembling the Xperia ZL
