anyone have the apk for the watchABC app recently relesed for firetv?
yes can someone post the updated app. want to test on the fire tv stick
I am also very interested...
I want to test it on the Fire-TV Box (1st and 2nd Gen) and also on the Fire-TV Stick...
Does anyone have and could post the "WatchABC" APK, of this New APP for the Fire-TV?
I have it. Strangely this is not yet available for the 2nd gen Fire TV, but is available for the 1st. Where's a good place I can upload it to?
post it here the app is free so not warez... or there is a sideload apk thread on here that would be good too. just post link here in case someone else wants to test.

Just sideloaded to my AFTV2 -- wouldn't actually play any of the videos I tried.

yeah, I hadn't actually tried it myself until just now. I'm seeing the same thing. It just stays at "loading"
will test on the the stick 1st Gen tonight

Okay I can confirm it works on the 1st Gen Fire TV Stick. If you have issues go into settings force close and clear cache before opening again. 1st time it worked and then I had could not connect to server issues but after doing that step it started working again. One other issue is that shows don't show up in the shows tab but you can access the latest aired episodes on the home page and even verify your service provider.

yeah that's common with apps that are on the amazon app store. easy fix just login on a pc and "purchase" the app. It wont let u do it from the fire stick, i tried.

Do any of the ABC/NBC/CBS app's have live stream option with a cable service sub or recorded junk ?
Why would you need it? Just use Kodi

What Kodi addon streams these networks?
Pretty sure either Phoenix, Pear, or USTV do, but I'll check later

The Watch ABC app does and does it for free. However, the FireTV version seems to have LOWER quality than a sideloaded one from my phone (that requires a mouse to operate.) CBS has an app, but you have to pay to stream. NBC has a Sports Extra app that should live stream sports events, but I don't know about shows.
I'm a cord cutter and was planning on installing a large antenna on my roof to get the local networks. Instead, I got a relative to rent an additional cable box in their home and I bought a Slingbox to stream the video to my Fire TVs. I pay them $10 per month, which is the cost for the additional box, and get access to all their channels. The quality is good, but the slingbox app for the FireTV could be better. I wish the supreme court sided with Aereo. That would have been an acceptable solution, too.

Hello,
If somebody is kind enough, please post the apk for Crunchyroll and Viki for Google TV or any apps that on the Google TV.
Please don't point me to:
http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
It does not work since evozi emulated T-Mobile devices to download apk. The Chrome extension does not work either since I don't have a Google TV devices to download from Google Play Store. So, if anybody has Google TV apks or figure out how to download all the apks for Google TV. Once I have all those apks, I will zip them and post it to my dropbox and share it with everyone if possible. Please let me know.
Thank you
EDIT: Link for apk to Crunchyroll, Viki, and Drama Fever from arunningpir8 below

I test all of them out. Viki and Drama Fever works great. Crunchyroll will give you a sideway screen. I recommend you use the normal Crunchyroll app, not the Google TV one.

dramafever gtv request
Can someone re-post the most updated version of the dramafevertv apk?
Viki works fine, and so does crunchy roll from the previous posts.
The dramafevertv apk posted from before stopped working about a month ago(November 2014) with the error "can't play this video" for all videos.
Much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Another android lover, who is missing out on some drama time.
Is there a newer version of the Google TV DramaFever app out there than 01.01.09 from about July 2014? I am getting that "can't play video" message on one of my Android sticks but I think it still works on my Revue and Amazon Fire Stick.

By the way, another app you can sideload is Dramania. You can get it from mobi24.net.
Also in the limited Amazon app store on the firestick, there is an app called MBC online that you can install directly.

Just tested on my AFS and the version of DramaFever app I have works. I am pretty sure it still works on the Logitech Revue as well. I also tested it on my old Samsung Fascinate running a 4.22 rom at it plays video.
I did notice that it stopped working on my Favi Smart Stick(running Android 4.04) starting in November. But since it works on some platforms, It doesn't sound like a server problem or change or an encoding issue.
The only thing I can think of is that the DramaFever app is having a problem all of a sudden calling the internal Google movie player app. I tried clearing data and defaults as well.
Sent from a Freedompop HTC Evo 4G
Thx
I have it side-loaded it on an Android box, it worked great until recently and I hoped there was a newer version out since I e-mailed dramafever with this error "can't play this video" and all they said was "update the apk to the latest version from the playstore". I know they haven't updated it since Sept.10/2013 version "01.00.09" on Gplay.
I guess I will have to wait until the next update whenever that is for a fix since its more of a server-side limitation for now than my client since it loads the pictures and I can login to my account no problem on my box which is weird.
I did try to re-install the apk and logging out of my account to test but to no avail. I also tried clearing the cache and clearing the data in the settings as well but that didn't fix anything either.
Any suggestions appreciated. I'm running Android 4.2.2 on my box.
Regards,
Drama Lover.

Are you having issues running it on a generic android box like me? or on an Amazon Fire TV device?
for some reason, it works on my Amazon Firestick(and other devices) but not on my generic Android stick(which I am trying to figure out as well). Like you, it was working well up to around November 2014.
I am running the same GoogleTV app version 01.00.09 on all devices which I backed up and restored from my Logitech Revue(I know they occasionally change their servers which could break the app and force you to upgrade). I don;t think it;s the app since it works on other devices on the same network. I wonder if an update to a Google service broke it on this device. Maybe something related to the internal movie player app.

I'm having issues on a generic android box like you. I don't have a stick so I can't test.
I'm sure I haven't updated anything on the box since November to android since I don't have gplay on it.
I didn't backup or restore, I directly side-loaded using the apk from a usb stick using an otg cable.
It probably isn't the app, its their servers not allowing access (maybe not allowing lower version android devices? but that shouldn't be it, what version are you running on your non-working android device?)
I don't even have google services on the android device haha, but it worked fine before it broke.
I'm stuck using Viki now which is not half bad, it just doesn't remember which episode I left off like with dramafevertv which is a shame.
Cheers
The version on my favi smartstick is 4.04. Yeah my first idea was they changed servers on the back end. But it still works on the Revue and my AFS. The Revue is running old ICS version 3.2.
The phone tablet version of Viki saves the location. But it has commercials. The Google TV version is better on the TV.

To be honest, i havent used it much since i posted a quick thanks but yes it was pretty simple. Download the one right on the fire tv (i mean just search "local cast" and itll appear as an app.) Then when u launch it you be told where to grab the apk to install on your casting device (or maybe it was the one in the op?... I cant recall.) From there i think it just worked.
Maybe enable casting under display/cast screen?
It worked for me wifi to ethernet but if your aftv is on wifi try putting it and your device on 2.4ghz

Mouse toggle works on OS 5? I bought it awhile ago but stopped working when i updated to 5. Really find it essential for file explorer and occasionally xfinity tv app. Dont use it often but hate connecting a mouse just for a simple click now & then.

I did a quick Google search for mouse toggle apk and found it straight away to download
And also please - no need to be rude
I sideloaded a television providers app (Fios Mobile) installed on my device. The app was working perfectly but it just updated and I keep getting the error "Won't run without google play services which are not supported by your device".
I tried reverting back to the previous version but it was a mandatory update, so no dice. I tried sideloading the Google Play store but that did not help.
Is there a workaround for this type of error? The app does not API call any of Google Play Services. It seems like many of the TV apps are dropping support (they encouraged it a few years ago to lower bills) so you buy another Set top box. Other cable apps know you are inserting a device into a HDMI port and disable it from working that way.
I can download each individual TV app and enter my television providers password or mirror from my Android Phone but that would be a huge inconvenience.
Any suggestions? If there an app that will fool my TV app into thinking the play store is installed?
Since every channel pretty much has it's own app now, is there another app that will take its place instead of downloading each channels separate app and entering the password?
Is your firestick rooted? (Sorry, I don't know if they can even be rooted.) If so, there's an Xposed module to allow apps to work without Google Play Services.
Another idea is to get the Fios Mobile app from the Amazon App Store and side load that one onto your Fire TV: https://www.amazon.com/Verizon-Services-Corp-FiOS-Mobile/dp/B00DGVUD9I/
That one may not have any dependencies on Google apps.

Seriously, you are giving me outdated information???? "Fios Mobile won't run unless you update Google Play Services". It would be nice to know where to find updated compatible versions for each. I have looked at several app stores and none seem to work. So please cut that attitude as your five-second search advice did not get me any further than I was before.

I tried two different app stores but not that Amazon one. Crossing fingers!!!! DARN. Just tried it and said incompatible, you can't make purchases from this device. Fios does support Kindle fire but as I suspect, they don't want the app as a box substitute like they used too.
Maybe, someone has an updated version of what Timmy P linked too. Hopefully, they will test the link first before making condescending remarks about checking older posts.

Because when I read that site from the original author it said FTV and FTV stick not 2 dumbass. Then I read the re-post on here claiming FTV 2 from MARCH 2017!! DId you not see where I said everything was working perfectly since September 4th!!!! Technology changes fast little tike. Google also updates and apps do along with it buttercup.
But I assumed someone with such a smug post must be correct but what a surprise you were not cupcake.
Since there is only 1 person who found a fix on the entire internet, it must not be a very easy fix. If it were, he could put it on APK sites for constant updates.
That is why I also asked 1: If there is a workaround. Easy/permanent if possible, so I don't need to worry about this update. Even easier if there is a 3rd party app that would consolidate all the apps and enter my default password for me.
P.S Being smug even when your correct is being an ass, doing so when you are incorrect makes you a stinky diarrhea with **** nuggets still stuck kind of ass.
I take it English isn't your first language?

Actually, it is but the English language can't adequately describe just how big of a douche you are.
