[Q] Sense based ROM w/ camera fixes?

I'm looking for a new ROM for my phone. I'd like to keep Sense, as my wife also has a EVO and I'd like to keep the experience (nearly) the same for her when she uses my phone.
However, the current camera sucks. The flash completely washes out all details. Does one of the recent leaked updates fix the camera?
I've looked at the wiki, but there are just so many ROMs and not much info about them with out digging forever.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm going to change my ROM. I've tried a bunch of them in these months, and in fact I don't mind about having a lot of apps preinstalled, or nice visual effects... or froyo, ginger, sense 2.1...
I just desire THE BEST CAMERA, and the best audio recording.
Wich kind of ROMs does fill that need?
Once you have given advise about the type of ROM needed, then I will try to find long battery life, stability and as clean as possible.
Anyway, some example of a rom like that would be welcome

what you want can only bring Sense Roms, AOSP sucks here!
Now witch rom, i think you would like one with the new Sense 3.0 Cam App
which has nice features, highlited should here the panoramic function, but thats just the shiny thing
it brings you also 720p Video recording which is very nice
I think you should take a look at the varios "Aligment scripts" and buy a High Class Sd Card.
I would suggest you try Insertcoin Rom with the CM7 Hboot(needs S-off) with a alligned ext4 partition on the Sd.

ps.: The kernel of the IC Rom gets better day by Day and i bet-snq will give us a brilliant kernel in a few weeks,
if something isnt that neat (because the kernel release was just a few weeks ago)

Recs for GSM rom with a good camera app?

I'm planning on using my phone for picture taking on an upcoming trip to Europe (my old camera is nowhere near as good).
Are there any Global roms with the latest Sense camera? Or is it possible to extract the camera app from another rom and use it, without having to modify anything?
I'm looking for a trouble free, snappy rom, that also let's me use the phone as a modem.

Camera works fine on every ROM i had... including JellyTime R8 by randomblame.
So, what do you mean with this question?

I want a rom with the best photo quality (and maybe many effects)

the virtuous infinity with sense 4full makes very good..
i remember that even the MIUI was great
however, you do not see a big difference.

You'll get the best camera quality with Sense ROMs (both GB & ICS). The next option would be CyanogenMod 7.2.0. The camera will never work as good for AOSP ICS and JB ROMs because the phone wasn't meant to run them by design, in the sense that the available drivers and libraries aren't made for AOSP. They have to be hacked, modified and backported from GB and the resulting quality of photos and video, while decent, is not as good as that with Sense ROMs.

The camera in Jellytime 8.0 works great for me. I have had a few problems with previous builds but the new one works great.

It's a tie between MIUI camera and HTC Sense. If you can get a sense camera, keep it. If you can't (like on a non sense ROM), go with one of the MIUI cameras. I recommend #17 (google it). I think they're pretty close in quality and usefulness.
The MIUI camera doesn't run on certain ICS ROMs, to make it work, you need to go to camera settings and change the size in pixels of the picture. Every time you leave the camera, and get back, you need to change the pixel size (change from 8mp to 6, then back for best size).
In JB go to settings and disable HW overlays, or else you'll get messed up lines of color running through the screen.
In GB you should be completely fine.

[Q] Stable rom with original camera

Hello, I would like to ask, if there is some good ROM for daily use with original (or better than original) cam app. I have Liquid Milestone amani 3,2 ROM which is fine, but camera seems to be making worse photos than stock one and its missing some advanced features. I have no idea what kind of cam app is there, seems like google but dont know for sure. Anyway, i am also missing many features of stock cam. Bought this phone becouse of 20mpx cam, becouse I always focus on photography when picking some new device. Until today I had everything stock but now I am on unlocked bootloader seeking the best ROM for making photos with most advanced cam apk. If there is no such a ROM, will have to go back on stock software.

Try Kitslim_AMG for a stock based custom ROM or MIUI 5 for a different feeling. Both use the stock cam. Combined with Superior 20MP (Xposed Module) you have everything you ask for.
