Flashing KitKat on my Lg G3 D855 via TWRP? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to flash kitkat on my phone (running CloudyG3 2.5) because i am getting dreaded battery life, no more than 3 hours with minimum use and only 45 minutes on gaming?
Is there any custom rom based on stock that i can revert to? I dont want to lose root and all my data either.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

BUMP!
Anyone please offer some help ?

There are a number of 4.4.4 based ROMS for the D855 that can be found here...

Scroll down about 3/4 of the page to the "KitKat, Android 4.4x" section. If you want to retain root, then flash SuperSU from recovery after the ROM. If you don't want to lose your data, then use an app like Titanium Backup to back up your installed apps and data beforehand. They can then be restored after installing the new ROM. You can find the flashable 2.46 version of SuperSU (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip) here...

[Q] New to E980 - Flashing advice needed

Hi Experts,
I have a new-to-me E980. I am not a stranger to flashing. However, I am confused by the various posts as to what is best at this present time. My goal is to have a current recovery and some sort of stable Cyanogen based rom that has the Privacy Tool built-in so I can block certain apps from being able to read text messages, etc.
Currently I have rooted the phone and used FreeGee to install TWRP 2.6.3.3
Questions:
1a - Is this version of TWRP 2.6.3.3 lokified? Do I still need to be concerned about that?
1b - I see there is another version of twrp available in the 2.8 range. Do I need to upgrade to that one?
2 - Do I still need to use madmack's modem for deep sleep? I see some comments saying it doesn't matter now.
3 - I see there are some newer roms out there even base don Lollipop. I am looking for one that is stable, and has good battery life. I do not care if it is jelly bean, kitkat, or lollipop based. (This is for my wife. I can't keep flashing it all the time. She will kill me. )
Thanks for your help!

New to flashing roms... Have some questions! thanks

Hey guys I just started playing around with ROMS and I have some questions. I'm running Cyanogenmod 11 (5.0.2) right now and I'm kind of confused about how to try out other mods. For example I'd like to flash a kit kat CyanogenMod. Is it possible to run different versions of OS from the recovery? Can I switch between Lollipop roms and KitKat roms with no problems? and when I do flash another rom, how do I keep my settings and apps for the rom I'm about leave? And one more question, what is the best recovery to use? I'm using TWRP right now. Sorry for all the noob questions guys. Thanks for reading and I hope to read your responses.

the only way you can downgrade to kitkat in order to flash other kitkat roms is if you did a backup of you old kitkat rom including the efs. If you didn't you're stuck on lollipop. When flashing a new rom you can't save your setting but you can back up all your apps + data with titanium backup. It's not advisable to restore data as well as it can cause problems, so just restore the apps.

Couldn't he do a flash of the stock rom with lg flash tool?
I know this is old, but where did you get cm11 for this phone. All I can find is cm12 and they're unofficial nightlies.

Best method to upgrade to MM (+TWRP+Root) from Custom ROM (+TWRP+Root) on D855 32gb?

Current Phone Set Up
CloudyG3 v2.2 Lollipop stock based custom rom (Android 5.0, modem 20k)
Rooted (via LG One Click Root Method)
Custom Recovery - TWRP (v2.8.6.1)
I'm trying to work out the safest/easiest method to upgrade my phone to MM while also having/retaining TWRP and root.
Have read many threads and am frankly a bit confused...
Can someone please enlighten me?
Many thanks :good:
Anyone able to offer some assistance? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
Download latest CM13 nightly and latest Gapps then just do factory reset in Twrp, flash CM13 then Gapps and you're good to go. Note: Root isn't enabled by default in Cyanogenmod, you have to go to developer settings and enable it there.

Question about stock 5.0.2 ROM and xposed

Hello, I'm running an AOSP 6.0.1 ROM on my Tab S 10.5 but encountering many incompatibilities and would like to go back to stock Lollipop (I jumped from KitKat the last time).
I read about deodexed ROM and stuff like that I don't even know the meaning of, in regards to being able to install xposed framework. My question is, is there a way by now to normally flash xposed on the ROM without other shenanigans? Like for example when I was on KitKat i simply flashed the zip and installed the installer apk and that was it.
Thanks.
You still need to be deodexed, so best idea is to flash Iron Rom V 2.5 which is mostly stock 5.0.2.

Root korean variant (F400) running MarshMallow???

Hey guys, Hope you are well. I searched a lot about how to root LG G3 F400L (Korean Variant) but didn't find any solution. If you have any information related to this, than reply in this thread. I'll wait for you guys.
Currently, my device is running on custom rom. You can find this rom on Lgviet website with this name "[ROM STOCK 6] V30K D855 FULL G5 PORTED F400S/L/K" under G3 device forum. (I don't have permissions to add links)
It has few bugs. e.g. Not able to add APN, Signal drops suddenly (If you are in Messaging App and Signal drops, app closed automatically. This happens too much).
Interface is very very very awesome. Works smoothly. I don't want to leave this rom. But if i found a way to root stock marshmallow rom, then i'll prefer to flash stock marhsmallow & then root it.
One more thing, the very first time , when i flashed this rom, there's no problem of signal drop. It started later after few months, after that, i'll flashed back stock kitkat rom then flashed this custom rom. But the problem still there. Any suggestions, any help will be great.
anyone has solution how to root this phone? thinking to install lineage os to it....
