A better musicplayer app for CM12.1 - Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Hi,
currently I'm running CM12.1 /Temasek (Lollipop 5.1) ROM.
The stock musicplayer, the AudioFX has some bugs, it has no functional DSP, ... I do not like it.
So, I want to replace it with a better musicplayer.
Suggestions, downloading and installing infos are welcome.
Thanks.

It works perfectly, i use sony music player too, great duet with those 2 apps

if you use temasek, make sure to turn on the awesome player option at developer option. fyi

use jetaudio plus, that by far the best music player for me at least

Any Link for the Latest Sony Music Player?
I could only find the old Walkman Player app, although it works great.

The unmodified apk does not run on non-Xperia phones. It has to ported in order to work!
Enough with the explanation, if you have any links to ported version, let me know, else just stop posting.

My suggestion is the Sony walkman player with sony sound enhancements. Just delete the default music app and audiofx to enable the sound enhancements.
Then u can get the sony music update from google play store. If u want a clear explanation, go through this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/red...8-apps-sounds-collection-little-beta-t3187935

well i use vlc for both music and videos

Try these:
1. NexMusic
2. Omich Player (no material UI)
3. Shuttle
I prefer the built in music app only. It once didn't allow seeking of tracks but later on CM added a feature that allowed long pressing the pause button and moving your finger in a circle around it to seek music.

Google Play Music

Is anybody experiencing this? The music player slices the album art in half when changing songs, it's not that bad, but it's annoying.

It still does it :/ maybe I'll just go back to old Google Play Music, I like it more than stock LG music player, stock LG music player sounds bad with headphones on, even with dolby, thanks anyway! It was worth the try the stock LG music player has cracks, when I put the bass up, and it's not even that my headphones are cracking, it's the crappy poor equalizer, because when I use Google Play Music with MusicFX, it doesn't crack, the only thing is that the volume is really low, but I love heavy bass with headphones.

Try ac!d sound mods.
Viper4Android (V4A) will give you all the mods for headphones you could wish for and it works with all players, I've had the sliced albums but if I exit and reenter the app it goes away sometimes. You should try XenoAmp it has Google Music support and is featured by a Dev here at XDA.

For me it is, I updated to CM11 specially For Google Music. Because Stock would give me the "couldn't play the stream you requested" error.

Play Music seems to work on CyanogenMod 11 (KitKat), but the option to have it save to SD card does not show in settings on my Droid RAZR Maxx (spyder, xt912). That's a big problem for me since I have a large music library.

Play music works flawlessly on any KK ROM, with great sound and the added bonus of the complete and quite useful Cyanogen DSP.

Except that the save to external SD card is not available under settings even though Google claims it should be. At least it isn't showing on my Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx (model xt912, aka spyder) running 3/31 nightly of CyanogenMod 11 (i.e. running KitKat 4.4.2). Once this problem is fixed than I will agree that it works flawlessly.
I'm currently trying to use the Music2SD module of the Xposed framework to work around the problem. It didn't work with the latest version of Music2SD (version 1.8). Now I'm trying the previous version (1.7.1) and it looks promising.

There are tons of music players on the play store. Most of them are good. I personally use power amp which is very good and is a paid app. If you are confused check out music player comparisons on google.
If you have a rooted phone try 'viper4android'. It'll improve the sound quality greatly.

Shuttle plus has all necessary features (more) with material design.
Phonograph has all necessary features with better Material design
Neutron Player, HTC Music Player, PowerAMP Alpha, and Z-Player.

PowerAMP is best.
If basic function is enough for you then I'd suggest VLC for Android.
I like it for 2 reasons 1) is able to play any video/music file I ever had on my phone 2) only app I tested that shows album covers correctly when created /w MP3Tag.
Also asks for hardly any permissions.

Equalizer

New try: For many devices AudioFX does not work well. Who of you has a working EQ? Solutions without magisk and special audio player app preferred.

Question was about personal experience. My device is moto E condor with latest lineage. Tips for getting audioFX working with other sources than lineage music?
AudioFX works for me on Sony Z3 D6603. I use Sony's music player and the settings from AudioFX work just fine. Doesn't seem work with youtube though, I don't have any other apps to try it with right now. Personally I use Noozxoide for audio enhancement instead as it works with every source.

Oh I completely forgot about that app...... Nope, doesn't work. And I probably got a brain tumor from the crap that the only station I could find was playing
I don't think it works with gallery either. I transferred a music video from my pc to the phone and played it and I just can't hear any difference between the EQ presets. Gallery doesn't support split screen very well though so there was a pause between swapping presets and that made it even harder to spot any differences but still I'm pretty sure it doesn't work.
Dolby Atmos
I've found a mod that exactly fits my configuration https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767152106. Doesnt look like a open source project, but I hope we can trust Daansilva96, which is most probably https://plus.google.com/+DaanST

Sony Music Colored Notification on Oreo

Hello,
I recently updated to Android 8 with CarbonROM on my Xperia Z3C. I used the Sony Apps Enabler Magisk Module to download the Sony Music app from the Play Store but I noticed that the music notification doesnt change color depending on the album art. It works fine when I use Spotify. Is that feature not present in the Sony Music app? Or is there a mod or something that enables it?
I have Sony music version 9.4.0.A.0.1
Edit: I updated to version 9.4.1.A.1.1 and it still doesnt work

Hmm, really weird. I also use Spotify and Sony Music and it worked perfectly fine (both on lineageos and stock). However, that was only with oreo (8.0/8.1). Now I'm on Pie and, gotta say, I do miss that feature.
