Poor Cellular Reception After COI5 Firmware Update - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

I flashed the firmware for COI5 manually via odin and ever since then I cannot connect to LTE. Furthermore, I can barely connect to any signal. The bars show up, but it often takes a while for the 4G icon to show up. When it does, I am still not able to place a call, with Wi-Fi calling being the only hope I have to do so, but calls placed to me that way go straight to voicemail, so I have to call out from my phone.
Note: Knox is tripped, as I was rooted. I am also in an area where I alway get full bars of LTE, so location is not the issue.
Troubleshooting steps I have tried:
Reflashing COI5 firmware via odin.
Adding the LTE APN for T-Mobile.
Using Smart Switch to do emergency recovery.
Flashing BOH6 firmware (did not work as I don't believe you can downgrade firmware, was worth a shot anyways).
Flashing different custom ROMs (all repeated the same problem, which is how I narrowed it down to having to do with the firmware).
I am currently running completely stock at the moment. If anybody has any suggestions on what I should try next or how I can fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Network Data Hosed

I've gotten my phone into a state where I see signal bars, I can make calls and send texts, but no LTE or H+ is displayed and if I try do anything involving the internet it says there's no network connection. Wifi works just fine.
Here's how I got into the predicament. I should have learned my lesson from last time I flashed a Verizon ROM, but I didn't, and I flashed SkyNote RC9Z-3.9.1. Data works just fine in THAT ROM, but any subsequent ROM flashed after that... the network data is completely HOSED. I've tried enabling and disabling network data in settings. I've tried flashing the Devil kernel. I've tried restoring several different ROMS from nandroid backups. All restore fine and all have completely non-working network data. Last time I ran into this I had to flash the stock image in Odin to fiz the issue. This time however, that didn't work. The images flashed successfully, but upon reboot all I got was a a welcome screen bootloop of the samsung swirly logo and the T-Mobile logo.
I'm guessing this has something to do with the 4.3 bootloader? I'm downloading T889UVUCMK7_T889TMBCMK7_TMB.zip from SamMobile site and boy is it taking FOREVER! 7 hours left on the download. My thinking thoug is that If I unzip this new 4.3 firmware and flash it with Odin (or Kies if I absolutle have to) my device will start behaving again, and Network data will work, and I can go about ROM flashing and hopping again (though I'm gonna stay away from those Verizon ROMs let met tell you!).
Does anyone else have any other suggestions on what I can do to get my data back or to patch my bootloader to the 4.3 version? I was looking at this thread and wondering if it's safe to follow this procedure for patching once I have installed the 4.3 stock image:

S3 I747 Data Service Issues UNRESOLVED

I have spent countless hours restoring the stock firmware, re-rooting, updating, and even replacing the SIM in order to figure out why out of the blue during a simple reboot my S3 decided not to communicate with anything but Edge and an ocasional call. The IMEI was set to zero and now is reset (using QPST) and the phone is talking to the network just fine (according to several senior level support techs!). WIFI is working. The modem signal strength is weak.

I am back to running @PwnCakes193 4.4.2 Quantum ROM and I am at a loss! No LTE, 3G, and poor signal quality.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated! I have been flashing ROMS and android devices for YEARS and never have I been so stumped!

I am having the same issues after flashing Validus 5.0 RC1 (Kitkat 4.4.2) I am back on CM 10.2.1 now and it has been holding signal, but it still drops occasionally. I was wondering about flashing back to stock and re-rooting re-flashing.. But, not sure if a) that will work b) which stock to flash back to (I originally rooted from 4.1.2 if I remember correctly

M919 on NB4, ONLY getting LTE

So I've posted in a couple threads regarding similar problems, but I should finally get my own thread.
My issue is that my M919 is ONLY getting LTE signal.
I've tried full NB4 stock, GPE stock, various AOSP and Touchwiz based roms - all having the same issue.
I only get basic cell service (able to make phone calls) at work where we are located directly next to the cell tower.
I get home (which is only a short distance away from the office) and I lose the ability to make phone calls, but can still get texts and voicemail (have to use the visual voicemail app though, as I can't dial the vm).
I've verified that if I turn off the LTE part of the radio, I lose signal completely.
I get a decently strong data signal at home, so it's not a strength issue for LTE.
My previous phone was an HTC One (M7) which worked 100% fine at home or work.
My wife's iPhone works just fine.
I've tried flashing both modem.bin and non-hlos.bin for NB4 on this phone (flash, reboot to download, flash again) and this has not restored my signal.
Anyone with any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated!
This may sound dumb but what APN settings are you using? if you go into menu/connections/more networks/mobile networks/ network mode and you should see a list of network settings and more options. Make sure that you don't have just the LTE option ticked. If that doesn't work in the hidden menu someone might have set the phone for LTE bands only......pretty sure you have to flash a older modem like MDL to get into the hidden menu to change the band settings.
you want to have this option ticked in network mode setting

This is all from a stock rom correct?
on AOSP 4.4.4, it only has "LTE/3g/2g" for network modes.
I'm using the AT&T "phone" APN, which is configured correctly.
Will this hidden service menu work on AOSP?
How about 4.4.2 NB4 Touchwiz stock?
I have the KNOX bootloader, so I don't think I can downgrade to MDL at this point.
[UPDATE:] It does appear I am getting 3G signal at work (right next to the cell tower) - I can set the network mode to 3G and the signal goes from LTE to showing H+ and H (AOSP rom). I can make calls at work - so this looks like a GSM signal strength issue. The radio in this S4 seems to completely lose GSM at -97 dbm, but LTE is still stable up to -116 dbm.
If flashing a modem could fix this issue, I'd think flashing the MK2/NB4 modem and non-hlos bin files should have fixed this multiple times over already. Could this need a kernel flash separate from the rom?
I'm wondering if this is a software setting I am missing or if I have a hardware issue and may need to open this phone up and tweak something... It's definitely out of warranty and I don't care at this point. I like the phone, but the not being able to make phone calls at home is frustrating when the iPhone works just fine and my old M7 worked just fine.
Thanks!
You could definitely try flashing a kernel, I have good success with the stock modified kernel by jovy. You can still flash older modems on the nb4 boot loader but the phone will be really lagy and slow but all you need the older modem for is to get into the hidden menu then once you have done your tweaking in the hidden menu you flash back to nb4, and yes the settings stick even when you flash back to nb4. To get into the hidden menu you dial *#0011#

Do I need to be on stock Touchwiz in order to get the hidden menu?
And to get the menu requires flashing the MDL modem.bin or non-hlos.bin or both?
I can take a nandroid of my current setup and flash stock NB4 no problem - just want to confirm that is what needs to happen:
Flash stock NB4, then flash MDL modem.bin, boot and check hidden menu. Then flash NB4 modem.bin back and test.
Thanks!

Yes the hidden service menu. I'm sure there is probably other ways to get into it besides flashing the older modem but I've never really looked into it.

I had to flash stock TW 4.4.2.
Then I was able to get to the service menu from the dialer with *#2263#. *#0011# didn't work at all.
I made sure that "Automatic" had a * next to it.
I'm on the NB4 modem, did not and could not flash the MDL since I'm on the KNOX NB4 bootloader.
I'll see if I can test this later today to verify if this has resolved the issue.
Hidden menu was set to automatic, still on stock 4.4.2 with NB4 modem. No GSM signal at my house when iPhone and M7 both have at least 2-3 bars and can make calls.
I am getting a GSM signal at work, but that is directly next to a tower.
Is this likely a hardware issue? Or should I try a kernel?

t999 has bars but no calls or data, in all roms

So about 6 months ago, I decided to finally try out some custom roms on my t999 after running stock for over a year. I tried a couple of roms and stuck with cm11. Every thing was great until about 3 weeks ago. Out of nowhere, my phone randomly decides to drop connection to tmo towers. Sometimes i have bars and 4g symbol and sometimes i don't have anything. When I pull the battery and restart, I am able to connect to data, make calls, and send messages for a few minutes, but then i lose everything. Randomly throughout the day, I will get signal back for a few minutes but thats it. I flashed a touchwiz rom for now so I can use wifi calling, So that still works.
So I tried to flash a different baseband modem from DocHoliday77 and none of them worked. I also tried going back to stock following DocHoliday77s guide once again, but for some reason that does not work. I launch odin3.07, put my stock firmware in the pda section, make sure only auto reboot and F reset time are checked. I connect my phone in download mode, it is detected and i start the process. The phone restarts but gets stuck at the samsung logo screen. I have tried flashing different roms and none work.
I dont think its an imei problem because I got the phone direct form tmo with a contract.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you factory reset after you flashed the firmware in Odin? That's the only way it will boot coming from cm.. You may just need a new sim if flashing to stock won't fix it.. And BTW T-Mobile doesn't do contracts

Verizon HTC 10 will no longer work on Verizon after flashing

I flashed the the newest firmware, then flashed the Pefume 2.51.617.32 rom, and now the cell portion will not work. It will pick up a signal if I reboot, or sometimes toggle airplane mode. It will show 4g, but then it just goes back to the line over the bars. The sim card works in a Verizon iPhone, but if I manually try to connect to Verizon I get your sim card doesn't support this network error.
I assume I don't need to reflash the modem since I do get a signal after a reboot for about 30 seconds, then it goes away. I also have tried a factory reset, network reset, and verified my imei was still on the phone. I got this phone used with s off and unlocked bootloader already. It was running stock Android for Verizon 7.0. Firware was 2.41 before I updated it to flash the newer rom.
Any suggestions?

I reflashed the modem a couple times, and it is now working. However, wifi calling doesn't show as an option.

Did it work before you flashed it?
Is the SIM locked to your iPhone?
Do you have a network update option? Does the network need time to recognize the new phone? (I haven't used CDMA in years, don't remember beyond it being a pain)

There is a thread similar to this in the Verizon forums.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-10/how-to/vzw-how-to-unlocked-model-vzw-t3376743/page40
Might not be so easy to get working. Since you're on the verizon network I would just convert it back to VZW software. The Oreo update is supposedly coming soon, and that way you wouldn't have to mess around flashing radios, etc.
I flashed all the way back to 1.85 Verizon RUU, and had to run the erase modem fastboot commands to get wifi calling back. I then flashed Twrp and the newest custom rom based on 2.617 and wifi calling is still in place! However, I lost my home button. I quickly figured out the firmware was still on 1.85 from the flash down to 1.85, so I flashed the newest firmware to match the rom and everything is back working.
