Recently visited the USA and pick up a Moga pro power controller from Target for 43 bucks.
From what I gather it's very similar to an xbox 360 controller, was wording if anyone has both to compare side by side, as I'm thinking about getting an xbox 360 controller carry case for it but I'm worried it may not fit?
Any kind of info or help would be great!
Thanks.

So I ordered one of these last week when I got fed up with being unable to find a datel retro for sale anywhere. The item looks decent quality but the information is less than clear but for $20 i figured it was worth a shot.
Has anyone had any experience using this item?
Also has anyone found any other good substitute for the datel other than the phonejoy or MSI BGP100?
I haven't used the item you ordered but I suggest using a PS3 controller and getting Sixaxis control from the market.
I thought that only the PS3 wired controllers work. I'm looking for a wireless solution. Last I had checked the PS3 wireless bluetooth controllers are not supported for android.
PS after looking that sixaxis program up i looks like that may do the trick for me. I'll have to go pick up a PS3 controller I suppose.
Hello all,
Question for the masses:
We're an events agency and we're looking at putting together a few Dualshock controllers with Nexus 7's for an event coming up.
What we'd like to do is have a bike that people can 'ride' which has a gyro connectly to a Nexus 7 that would power the app.
The question we have is, say we strap a PS3 Controller to a bike after syncing it via Sixaxis, is there any way to get the internal Gyro on the dualshock controller to work?
I've paired it with my N7 and tryed it with a few racing games, and GTA to no avail.
If anyone knows how to get the Gyro/Accelerometer working over bluetooth via Sixaxis or any other means so that this'll function that'd be helpful!
wow, im curious with this...
Sounds too complicating...
if i get what you want,
you want the nexus 7's gyro to control the controller?
or the Controller's gyro to control the nexus 7?
I think it's rather hard to fulfill this with the nexus 7, and I wouldn't know why you'd choose the N7 for this as;
1. The N7 is unable to connect to another monitor
2. Pairing with a PS3 controller is rather hard, as you see it doesn't work with the sixaxis controller app for the gyro.
However, if you intend to use the N7 screen as well, strap it to the steering wheel? You can just use the internal gyro as the tablet itself goes along with the bike. There are plenty of calibration apps so you can adjust the angle of detection to the bike.
However, if you are not using the N7 screen, you would be able to go fancypancy and make true android-bikes by getting a ****load of cheap chinatablets. Usually you can take them apart very easely, and rework the electronic parts in the bike itself. Place the gyro directly under the saddle and if you buy one with an HDMI out, you will have no problems in hooking it up to an external screen. Plenty are available on sites like aliexpress.com for maybe $35/tablet. Together with the cheapest monitors (Belinea monitors are used a lot in a lot of small businesses and shops. They cost about $20-30 a piece). This option would reduce your cost to $65 per system instead of $250 per N7. It would also involve a lot more work unfortunately.
I was looking forever for a good mount for an xbox 360 controller since I have several laying around and no PS3 controllers, and found a 3d printed one you can buy at shapeways:

I got mine a couple days ago and it's light, a great fit and seems much more durable than it looks. You need an OTG cable to use a wired or wireless adapter for 360 controller, but works amazingly well. Especially if you pair it with Kainy and a powerful PC.
I want to buy a BT gaming controller. I read good reviews about moga pro power. heard that G910 gamepad controller is better than moga. Anyone has bought it?

I use the Moga Hero, replacement to the original Moga Pocket... its a smaller version of the Moga Pro Power. It works great, very happy with mine. Bought it for $39 about a month ago. I have never heard of the G910. Remember though Moga has their pivot app to make games easily playable without mapping to the controller.
Here is what I use:

That controller looks good and should work with games with native gamepad support. The Moga has a lot more support though and works with some games that don't have native gamepad support.
l have always used a PS3 controller on my phones and tablets,
To those into all those different Android specific ones, are there any advantages to switching over to them?
If so, what is a good, Inexpensive one?
1 have seen $15 to $80 ones and that upper range is insanely priced. I will be using mostly for emulators
I use a moga power pro which can be hand for around 30 bucks online. The advantage is alot of games are pre programmed for it but even if a game isn't you can use the controller in mode b then use key mapping if said game supports controllers in general. Another advantage of the moga power pro is that it can charge your phone while you play. The moga pads are good and I've heard the nyko play pads are good too i cannot speak on the others.
