T2 ultra d5316 *root* - Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Has anyone been successful into rooting the D5316 running 5.1.1? I've used the FlashTool and tried other options, but no sucess on either. I've never owned a phone with no current ROM's or easy root..... Just crazy, thanks in advance for any help offered.

[Q] Re-root after 4.4.3 update

Hi.
I have been rooted my Xperia T2 Dual.
But after finishing new Sony update to 4.4.3 (firmware 19.1.1.C.0.56) my root access is removed.
I tried to re-root my device in old ways such as Easy Root or DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit but any of them didn't work.
Do you have any idea how to re-root T2 Dual in android 4.4.3 ???
Thanks.

Thank You so much for your complete explanations.
I've done that and my phone is rooted.
BUT when I want to update my SuperSu, it fails!
And when I want to access to my system folders by other programs, they said that your phone is rooted but can't grant RW permission on /system folder.
What should I do?!

[Q] Root for D5306 with 19.3.A.0.472? Does it exist yet?

I recently upgraded my D5306 using the SONY flashtool to 19.3.A.0.472. I was wondering is there a root for it yet and the current towelroot that works with kitkat, doesn't work with lollipop.
My goal is to load a custom recovery so that I can flash CM12.1 from the FREE Xperia project.
Or in there is some other method to do that (that actually works), please let me know. The current instructions want you to flash 3 IMG files, but they don't come in that format anymore. They give you one ZIP with a BOOT.IMG in it.

[?] ROOT method for Xperia ZL Lollipop 5.1.1 (10.7.A.0.222)

Hi All,
Now happy to share that my C6506 on LL 5.1.1 (10.7.A.0.222). One worry remaining is how to root it to get full Android power ?
I tried with kingo root beta and Kingroot (which i used to root 5.0.2) but no luck . I need this to install recovery/ xposed ....
Hope to hear good news from you, pals

If you have unlocked bootloader, simply download the superSU binaries to your phone and flash a KK custom kernel and flash the SuperSU bin via recovery. Or you can create a prerooted flashable zip with PRFCreator and flash it via recovery as well (which is what I did and root works correctly).

Thank @owlwood
I've already backed up my TA partition but still wonder that if i unlocked bookloader, some sony proprietary feature like Clear Sound/ Stamina ... still work or not?
Still love the clear and simple Sony UI

Stamina and Clear Sound work as usual. The only thing that doesn't work is the Bravia Engine. To restore that you'd need to restore the TA partition and relock the bootloader. (You can relock the bootloader without having to worry about breaking root or recovery).
Thank for confirm, will try soon.
Btw, it seems the 'cell standby' was fixed in this version.
Can i use the kernel in 5.0.2 in 5.1.1 in order to work the rooting process of kingroot?
@owlwood , Could you pls suggest some good custom kernel for ZL 5.1.1 ?
I don't think there will be a custom kernel for ZL. There has never been much development for this phone.
But we have a quite good stock firmware and we got Cyanogenmod, enough for me...
What special feature would you expect from a custom kernel?
There are no more development on ZL than Z that maid many custom rom in 5.1.
Hopefully they create now that z5 dumps are available ?

I think waiting is the best for now. 5.0.2 lags too much and pretty slow even wiping all. Kitkat is better than 5.0.2.

Custom Recovery for unlocked the boot loader of Xperia T2 Ultra D5322 5.1.1 ?

I have unlocked the bootloader of of Xperia T2 Ultra D5322 5.1.1, can anyone tell the easiest and simplest way to install the TWRP/CWM recovery and root it ? Found many threads but for 5.1.1 its very hard that we need to downgrade device with 5.0.2 and all. Is there any easy way that can be done without downgrading the firmware? Help will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
it's very simple I installed custom recovery on locked bootloader without downgrading to android 5.0...
just install kingroot, root your phone and replace it with supersu.
after that use this custom recovery. (don't forget to enable debugging mode)
