I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S for $200 from Craigslist. It is like new. I noticed it is a T-Mobile version. Is there anyway to remove all the T-Mobile stuff and it is reminding me that there is no SIM card too. I just want WiFi. Thanks!

If you don't want to root, then Package Disabler Pro works wonders. It doesn't remove the crap but it makes it not stink up the place [emoji13]

Is there anyway I can activate my new s4 (purchased it used) without going to the store itself and dodging any fee?
If you have an account already with AT&T just put your SIM card in and push the power button.

I already have the GN8 wifi and want to get the AT&T LTE verison. I can live without root if I can install 4.2.2. Is 4.2.2 available for AT&T GN8? I only see the GT-N5120 and the device number is different for the AT&T model.

If it's available, I haven't seen it yet. We're at the mercy of AT&T pushing it sadly. Has Samsung officially released it?

Love this SGH-I467 !!!
I too came from a ipad 2 64 GIG from AT&T. I cannot believe how fast this note 8 is on LTE!!! I love this Note 8, I also have a Galaxy Note 2 and probably getting a Note 3 when it drops... a la the 0 ZERO DOWN AT&T deal. I use this Note 8 for work, home and everywhere in between. I cant put it down... I just hope there will be either an 4.2 or dare I say... 4.3 update!!! And if not I know we have some kick ass developers on this site!!! So maybe we can get what we need and when we want it soon

Like me. I'm using the international NON LTE version. The N5100 on straight talk a AT&T MVNO. Everything works and get between 300kb/s-800kb/s.
Best Phone I have ever bought. I love the big screen.
I have a Tmobile Galaxy Note 3 unlocked which I use with AT&T.
I am debating on trading for an AT&T Galaxy S5 16 GB.
the question is.. is it worth it to do straight up swap for 16gb S5 since my Note 3 has twice the memory and more power.
Please let me know what you guys think!
Less memory, less storage, smaller screen, locked bootloader, I'd say no.

As a guy who deals with both phones daily. The answer is a definite, NO! Wait for the Note 4. This isn't just the fanboy in me. S5 will feel like a downgrade unless water-resistance is important to you.
Can I install hardware on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 T700 to make it compatible with LTE 4G?
Highly doubtful unless you can source the correct parts, have the equipment and ability to deal with surface mount devices and have the full schematic then somehow force an update to the bootloader so it's compatible with the new hardware.
Alternative 1 - Use a 3g dongle, mifi, or tether to mobile device.
Alternative 2 - sell yours buy a T705.
They don't manufacture Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 T705 anymore that is the trouble.

Doesn't need to be new does it? You could upgrade to Tab S2.
so I just did a swap from regular 700 wifi to a 707a , it had a busted screen but everything went perfect. freaking ATT even gave me the unlock code and sent it to me in like 4 minutes! Then.....tmobile wants to be super hella lame and tell me it wont work without a mobile things plan or some hot garbage like that EVEN THOUGH it fully is 100 capable and is even connected , I have an old grandfathered inplan and I do get it and would "understand" if it wernt for so many many other things I use on that sim . But ya.. look for 705 as I can't find any type of mods for this thing. I may try and root with Kingo , switch it to super SU make my backups of course and maybe possibly play with fire and safestrap but ya go with a 705 OR actually don't buy any find a different tablet like I may go with a Surface LTE even though its so inferior spec wise it would still do way way more and finally get me use of the SIM......maybe......it better......hmmmm. better check hah.
Hey guys,
I just purchased the 4G Note 10+ from Samsung in the US (I'm on Sprint and they only offered the 5G for Verizon customers). I currently have a Note 5 (about time for an upgrade). My concern is that after a bunch of research, I won't be able to do the things I've enjoyed doing on my Note 5. So, I am considering returning the one I ordered from Samsung in the US and ordering the Note 10+ Exynos version from a website like Clove so that I can still root it. I don't care about Samsung Pay or WiFi calling, so I'm fine losing those.
From my understanding, CDMA doesn't work well with Sprint on Exynos. I even heard some talk about it being throttled. Should I be concerned?
Will the 5G work with Sprint now or in the future, even though they have an exclusive deal with Verizon right now and are there any gotchas?
Can I just request a SIM card from Sprint or I do I need to do something funky with an international SIM first?
Is there anything else to look out for or that I'm not considering?

From my understanding and looking through eBay at the international note 10 listings the exynos phone is GSM only. It will not work with Sprint or Verizon at all.

Thank you. I believe you are absolutely right. You just saved me a lot of hassle.
I'm going to return the phone I ordered and wait for the (hopefully) OnePlus 7 Pro 5G Sprint variant to come out.
Honestly, I was tired of having to choose between being able to backup my phone (basically all I want root for) or being able to encrypt my phone (which is lost when you root it). With the OnePlus 7 Pro I could do all that, not have a hole in my screen, it's cheaper, and would be 5G too. So whatever. I'll miss the SDCard and wireless charging, but that's about it. Too bad neither have a headphone jack, that might have kept me on it too. Okay, done ranting. Thanks again!

It's speculation, but there's a good chance. I'll probably hold out for more information until October at the latest before I plan a switch.
