Hello, everyone! :victory:
I'm a user of Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom for about a month, and always had Android Phones that were up to date regarding software. Even by the manufacturer or the community.
But the S4 Zoom is stuck in Android 4.2.2 and the development thread is dead in its section of the forum. So I tought of coming here to request a LIGHT. Is there something that I could do to help a start of this? My phone is rooted, but it's the more succeeded that I have been regards this matter.
For dummies, the S4 Zoom looks like a S4 Mini with a camera on steroids, more or less the same specs. Hence I'm here to ask for it

1. When I googles the phone all the pages in french. Is this a limited edition??is it worth to buy??
2. Will I be able to modify (Rooting etc) using like standard Galaxy S4 mini??
3. What are the known issues for Glaxy S4 mini??
I would like some expert opinions on this phone.. That's why I came to you guys....

Seen the Black edition for the 9192 in india. Its the same with black wallpapers, nothing different.

Which phone is better Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo or LG G2 mini? Tomorrow I will buy one of these two but I do not know which?

Reasons:
1. Display resolution ( 720x1280 vs 540x940 )
2. Screen technology ( AMOLED vs LCD )
3. RAM ( 1.5GB vs 1GB )
4. Storage ( 16GB + SD vs. 8GB )
5. Processor clock ( 1.4GHz vs 1.2GHz )
6.NFC
If you're looking for better screen , processor and memory yu should go for s3 neo but if you want to play around with your device and install custom roms lg g2 mini will be a wiser choice because s3 neo is not yet that popular so as a result not a big dev support

If you mean lollipop support or something ... it will be on s3 earlier than you think

I meant that the lg g2 mini is a couple of months older and got more custom roms than our s3 and it seems like afther a couple of months of creating a forum dedicated to the s3 neo there are almost no devloppers who are interested in this device exept for you sir which I am grateful for

I have just upgraded to cm12, and I completely love it, only con is the camera...
Would love if it was just a bit better, not on level with the z3 though
So I have read a some reviews of the s5 mini, and the camera should be somewhat better, just what I was looking for.
My con here is the s5 mini dosen't seem to have the same easyness around for custom roms and that stuff.?
What do you guys think`?
stick with the s4 mini or jump to the s5 mini ?

I compared the stats and the s5 mini has only a better display resolution, the other things are nearly the same, I thought about upgrading to but for me it's just not worth the price for nearly the same technic

Yes I know, but in test the camera seems better, but then again if I cant put cm12 on.....
Cons s5mini exynos, will be very difficult to have custom ROM
Pros, my brother has one seems very smooth came with kk is likely to have Lp from samsung

Samsung has hell of a lot work to do. Because they have uncountable number of midrange devices. :laugh:
S4 Mini, S5 Mini, Galaxy A3, A5, A7, E5, E7, Grand 2, Note 3 Neo to name a few.
But certainly S4 mini and s5 mini will get in 2nd quarter of this year. :good: Once S6 is launched world wide.

Yup. Been checking every month this year and I haven't seen anything promised later than April. So it's crunch time! Really hoping it'll happen soon, I'm terribly annoyed by the limitation apps have writing to the sd card in any location other than their own folder. You all think that this will be different in lollipop?
i hope we get the 5.1 version straight, because 5.0 has issues

Otherwise, i choose another manufacturer after years with Samsung.
I gave up the S5 Mini after realizing that has problems such as low-quality recordings (sounds captured with mic) compared the S4 Mini and the camera gets to be lower.
If this update happen I stand with Samsung and I will try a S6 Mini . Otherwise i give up Samsung.

S5 mini is a horrible device. No custom roms, no dev support because it has no source code, uses poor chipset and is priced like it is the best phone ever.
No wonder the price of that phone came down by 130$ in India within 20days of its launch.

Other Samsung handsets may have to wait a little longer, although we'd expect that most high profile devices released in the last 18 months to 2 years will get the update, including the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy S5 Mini.
Let's hope the first release hasnt got all the issues the S4 firmware has/had.
Guys can anyone tell me if the stock lollipop , incase it exists, will have sdcard issues? Do i have to use sdfix or foldermount again??

Just wait to be updated, the access it supposed to be back in 5.0 as it was in jb, but for now use sdfix and foldermout

i think that samsung is cooking something for us, there's no new firmware in a while.
maybe they are working on lollipop ?
I buy for my mum s3 from korean , i head samsung rip s3 so this can not buil in lolipop
