G4 stuck in bootloop ! - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I'm having a really bad situation with my G4 (H815L),
My new UNROOTED device just decided to enter a bootloop, I tried to make a factory wipe but it got back into bootloop,
I tried to flash a stock firmware with the flash tool but again it got back into the loop.
Tried to find a TOT files for this version but I couldn't find one.
Does anybody have a solution for this ?
Thanks.

LG G3 D855 Stuck in MiniOS boot animation after trying to flash stock firmware w/ kdz

Hello. My LG G3 D855 originally ran CyanogenMod13 Nightly, and for some reason 6.0 Marshmallow GApps did not work. So I attempted to flash back to stock using LG Flash Tool. However after the flashing (successful), my phone would only boot into Download Mode, even after hard factory reset. Nothing worked, ADB, fastboot, nothing. So I then downloaded the older version of Flash Tool (2014), and the G3 D855 6.0 marshmallow KDZ. I believe this was successful, as now the phone changed from download mode to the MiniOS boot animation. However that is all it did, just displayed the animation. I attempted a hard factory reset (and the design of the screen had changed, which is why I assumed the KDZ flashing worked). That didn't help, and so I booted back into Download Mode, and tried flashing the TOT file for my device using the newer Flash Tool. However the new Flash Tool didn't even recognize my device, and so I, in one last hopeful effort, downloaded LG PC Suite to try and fix my phone, but in Download Mode or otherwise, my phone wasn't detected. I've tried flashing other versions of the KDZ on my phone, all unsuccessful. And of course there is no recovery I can access. Please any help would be extremely appreciated.

D855 boot loop help please!

Hi so im new to rooting in general and not too long ago i rooted my phone and today i stupidly tried to update to marshmallow using lg tool .once it was done it goes up to optimising apps then boot loops. I was wondering is there any way to solve this problem without deleting my data and would a factory reset solve this problem?
What type of data do you have on your phone?

Click to collapse
Just reflash the mm rom usin lgup or lg flash tool 2014, don´t select CSE in lg flash tool and don´t select "refurbish" if you chose lgup
The data should be safe

stuck on bootloop

Here's the thing, I ****ed up:
Why:
1. I didn't do a back up
2. I tried to flashthe D85530B_00_1217 ROM that's for the 855 model, and I've the 855AR (wich apparently are not the same).
What I tried to fix the problem:
1. I try to restore it: Went to recovery mode and tried to do a factory reset. The phone just restart and I went back to the bootloop.
2. I try to re flash the phone using again the D85530B_00_1217, and then D855AR20A_00, none did work and the bootloop persists.
3. Ask for help (what I'm doing here).
My question:
Can i still fix this or I have to buy a new phone?
Notes:
I used the LG Flash Tool 2014
While flashing the phone, it did reach 100% before the app did, and reset itself (before the app reach 100%).
Thanks
Edit:
Ok, so I manage to fix it. I download LGUP (older version, the one that does not work with KMZ files) and manage to flash a tot file with the D855v10e version. After that my phone was functional again and I flashed the D85520a with LG Flash Tool 2014.
Hope it help someone with the same problem I have.
Ok, so I'm still stuck on this.
I'be also tried to unbrick it using LG FlashTool (the one you have to install) but when I try to flash the tot (the european one) file, I get "Download FAIL", "Model information Check FAIL". I think I may be using the wrong tot file but I can't find the one for D855AR model.
Anyone has any ideas on how to fix this? Or where can I find the right tot file?.
Thanks

HELP PLEASE !! LG G3 D850 - Stuck in bootloop after installing stock ROM

Hello everyone. I am new to Android ROM custom upgrades. Its been around three weeks since I've experimented with my LG G3 D85010F and I would highly appreciate it if I find a useful answer to my query. I wanted to upgrade to Marshmallow so I tried using a CM 13 custom ROM and TWRP. I however ended up hard-bricking my device so I used the BoardDiag tool and I was able to get it out of the hard-bricked situation and then I used the LGFlashTool to flash the TOT file (D85010D, because i could not find the D85010F file) but the phone gets stuck in a bootloop(No Mini OS and FBOOT check ends in failure). I tried flashing the LGD850PR kdz file and the same thing happened. So I reverted back to the D85010D and still the same bootloop. (In case this is relevant I had charged the battery to around 90% before doing the flashing). Now I'm out of ideas and I could not find any solution online. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance folks!!!

LG G3 Back from the dead (was hard bricked) - Need help to start over now

Hey guys
First, a little bit of history:
I own a G6 now, so I wanted to have some fun with my G3.
I rooted it (LGOneClickRoot), installed TWRP, installed LineageOS 14.1 and everything went pretty well.
The problem was that LineageOS 14.1 is terrible, huge lags, tons of bugs, so I tried installing another ROM through TWRP, I don't know what I messed up but I messed up and the flash failed. I dont remember exactly what I tried to flash after that but I failed again and then classic --> Stucked on LG boot logo, no recovery mode, no download mode, nothing.
So I used the popular fix for hardbricked G3, creating a short between test point and ground while connecting it to revive him, and it worked. I went with the whole procedure in BoardDialg and stuff. Kinda surprised by myself that I didnt go full-panic mode creating tons of threads everywhere lol, I managed to make it work even if it took me something like half a day of learning and work.
Now I'm back to stock Android 4.4.2, rooted with LGOneClickRoot again and everything is fine.
I mean... Almost everything is fine, because now I want to be able to install Magisk, and I found that Magisk is for Android 5+.
So there are some informations I need to gather before going further and risk a brick again (please no more short on the motherboard lol):
1- Can I flash a stock Lollipop ROM with LG Flash Tool in download mode using CSE Flash ? Is it a proper way to do it or do I really need to go through this boring TWRP recovery flashing again ?
2- where can I find such a ROM (stock Lollipop for d855) ? And which version to chose ? v20a, v20e, v20f, v20h, v20i, v20p, v20t, v20u, v20w or v21a ? I've been looking for hours now, hard to find reliable informations about all different versions.
Thanks for the read, I hope someone can help me
UPDATE:
I flashed a Lollipop v20f with LG Flash Tool and it's working fine.
I heard that after v20f, newer versions were "harder" to root so I sticked with v20f.
I'm gonna play around with Magisk now and see how it goes.
I'm in the same boat. I also went back to 4.4.2 via TOT. The I rooted and installed TWRP. how I want to restorel my RR 5.8.5 from a TWRP backup. My question is to I have to install the 35B bootstack before or after the restore or at all?
Hi,
Upgrade (LGFlashtool + CSE flash) to V30B
Follow this post ==>
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/root-twrp-marshmallow-d855-30b-t3286268
Then you can install custom Rom ou upgrade to stock V30N (with root : there is a post about it)
Hey how did you do the unbrick process? I stuck at flashing kdz eventhough i have correct dll and drivers installed
hi,
Try LGUP instead of LGFlashtool (download mode and type *.kdz + select kdz file in LGUP)
Depends if you're hardbricked or softbricked. I was hardbricked so I had to create a bridge between 2 points on the motherboard and reflash everything one by one. I formated recently and didnt keep all these things but I can get into it again to try to help you.
EDIT: LGFlashTool isn't enough if you're hardbricked, you'll have to use other tools and open your phone. First step is identify if you're softbricked or hardbricked, google it you'll find your answer
Mine was hardbricked. I use shorting test point method and successfully flashing partition. Then I flash kdz using LG flash tool 2014, my phone stuck on boot logo. Then I do factory reset. Still same. Last option, I use LG UP. It stuck on LAF info with number on it. Is my LAF file damaged?
Hi,
With Boarddiag try this :
1-EMMC TEST Option "erase" ;
2- then Restore theses partitions and reboot in download mode and flash Kdz.
1)Boot
2)Aboot
3)BackupGpt
4)Boot
5)dbi
6)laf
7)PrimaryGpt
8)Recovery
9)rpm
10)tz
11)sbl1
