Stable Root method? ( H815P) - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just upgraded from the G3 up to the G4 and was hoping to get rooted,
I've just realized rooting seems in its early stages and all the methods I've come across to not cover the H815P version, could someone kindly point me in the best direction to go from here providing, I'd Ideally like to be rooted with Twrp.
Thanks in Advance.

You can't. You will have to revert to stock firmware, root the phone and flash some prerooted Lollipop ROM.

[Q] LG G3 (d855), downgrade from 5.0 and/or root?! HELP!

Hey!
Going to make this as short and simple as possible.
So I was runinng stock LG G3 4.4.2, but about 1 week ago I recieved the 5.0 update to my phone. I was all glad and dandy until I got sick to my stomach with McAfee (unfreeze-able and non-removable) and games starting to lagg without device even getting hot...
So I decided to Root and run CM or some other more lightweight ROM, but to my greatest fear, 5.0 seems unrootable atm!? I am at a loss here.. I am in no way happy with the Lollipop update, I can't even see if my device is running ART or not, and the overall experience feels even more sluggish than before - Need a 'get out of jail' card over here ~
Sidenote; I've only ever owned Samsung Devices (S2 and S4) as main phones, so I feel a bit lost when it comes to how LG run things (no Odin is my primary issue, as well as limited support since the device is not all that popular).
TL;DR:
1. Is there a working Root for LG G3 International d855 (32gb, 3gb RAM)devices running stock 5.0?
2. If not 1: Is there a way to downgrade from 5.0 to KitKat again?
3. If 2: What's the best way to Root the device with, and what Kitkat version should I run?
1. No.
2. See FAQ in my signature for links for guide to downgrade (guide is listed as unroot in faq).
3. PurpleDrake should do.

I am currently following your 10 (6) linked guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
But I am already stuck on 1.. http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G3/Stock/
What firmware file do I pick? Using the 32Gb LG-D855 (international), and I picked it up along with a carrier contract from "Telia" (Swedens biggest carrier).

Yes, that is the guide.
You need firmware for D855. Latest Lollipop version is 20F.

Wait what? Exactly which file do i download, to downgrade from 5.0 to 4.4 "KitKat" again?
Currently downloading this file; "D855 TOTs/ -> LGD855AT-V10e-EUR-32G.zip" Is that the wrong file?

Download kdz file.
If you want to downgrade then some v10 version. V10N is the latest.

[Q] VS985 TWRP Installation

First of all, I am new to rooting. I just want to get that out of the way -- I am still learning the ropes.
Anyway, I have VS985 (Verizon) LG G3 and it is running Stock Lollipop 5.0.1. I recently rooted the device.
I am interested in installing TWRP, because I would like to try some custom ROMs (CyanogenMod in particular). However, I have not been able to install TWRP on my device. Also, I have not been able to find a working tutorial for my particular LG G3.
A short tutorial that will help me install TWRP / CyanogenMod on my G3 would be much appreciated.

You can do that by rooting the stock ROM and installing twrp manager from the play store. Just saying.

Bump is a hack that bypasses LG security on boot checks. I came from the Verizon G2 that needed it. I forgot that T-Mobile don't lock their devices down like all other carriers.
I also recently bought a LG G Pad 8 inch that locked was locked down. Not even on any carrier but was locked down. Couldn't even get TWRP on it due to this.

A simple misunderstanding. Im sure the others with locked bootloaders would love this tool. and its good that you would do one for them....

T-Mobile locks down some of their devices. The g3 is lucky enough not needing it. That's why the d851 had ROMs first. Anyways, its easier to just use the one click root method and either use twrp manager or flashify to get twrp on your phone.

Guess it just makes T-Mobile that much better than the competition as being the "UnCarrier"! I was with Verizon for years and got tired of their outrages pricing and lockdowns. Plus, having unlimited data is what finally got me back to TMO.

Or you can go with a nexus device. Its unlocked no matter where you go.
Just added tool for KK 10R.
I have a D851 on the stock, rooted Lollipop ROM. I want to install TWRP but before I do anything, I just wanna make sure I'll still be able to boot back into the stock ROM after installing the recovery using this tool. (Someone reported on another forum that he installed TWRP using bump, but couldn't boot back into the stock ROM.)

If your on stock LP then choose the 20b version for twrp. Your booting will work fine. Thats what this is for.

Please open only one topic of the same content really it doesn't help if you open separate threads with the same question
Your device cannot be unlocked officially so you will have no option at the moment to install a custom ROM on it but you can install TWRP for your device just search for TWRP in FIsH

https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/canadian-guide-complete-source-lg-g4-t3212449
Read the instructions and ALL the posts there to get a good feel for the how-to. You will be able to successfully root, install Xposed modules, Titanium Backup and as steadfasterX pointed out above, install a TWRP custom recovery version with TWRP-in-FisH (Version3 Beta 4 and 5 seem very stable - the links are in a couple of the later posts):

Read everything thoroughly and if you run into problems, post questions to those sites.
You will not be able to root with any of the root apps in my experience.
Good Luck,
S.
