i doubt anything else can be done
you can factory reset, or reflash firmware, but think is unlikely that, you can unlock now.

open safestrap app and uninstall recovery (if there is no safestrap app reinstall it)
uninstall safestrap app

Even if you set the priority to 4G/LTE, it depends on your carrier and it'll still get "downgraded" to 3G or even 2G.
There are apps, that can set the network type manually, e.g. 4G LTE Switch (provided the device is compatible).

I'm running FireOS 4.6.3, with sideloaded gapps and google now launcher. Is there any way to place a shortcut to a specific user on the home screen (of the google now launcher). How the contacts work in general on this phone is about the only thing left I haven't been able to customize to my liking. Wish there was a way to use a different contacts app instead of the fireOS one.

Is there a way to boost the volume of the speakerphone? Mine is on the quiet side; I tried an aftermarket app called Speaker Booster but it didn't seem to help. Rooted FireOS 4.6.3.
Good afternoon... Hopefully on the right thread. I have CM11 installed with no issues, except one. I can't install Google fit. I believe it may be a DPI issue, I don't really know, but NO version works I tried a couple of old APKs and those didn't work, same error code -24. Any ideas?

I want to preface my questions by fully acknowledging my complete ignorance on this subject. Nothing is worse than someone who won't do their own leg work. I've hesitated posting these questions just because I didn't want to waste anyone's time. However, after spending literally hours I just ran out of options. I'm turning to the geniuses on XDA for some help.
I have the CDMA (Sprint) version of the Touch Pro2. I just installed the latest 2.2 build (the one that supports the external speaker).
There are 2 questions.
1. Is accessing the Marketplace for paid apps possible with the TP2 and this build of Android? If so, what changes do I need to make to my device to enable that capability. Right now I can only see free apps.
2. I was trying to get Flash to work. It doesn't show up in the Marketplace. I tried to install the apk file from a thread on this forum (can't post the link as a new user). However, I received a generic failed installation message. I also tried using SkyFire 2.3 (BETA). But when I navigate to a site with Flash on it I see a little box telling me to download Flash Player.
I really appreciate any help that I can get on this. Again, I apologize if I missed earlier discussions on these topics.
For the paid apps you have to download the market enabler. It's in the faq http://sites.google.com/site/androidport/faq Look for "I can't see any paid apps available for purchase in the Market."
I don't know if you can get flash enabled because we haven't got 3d working yet.
Thanks
Thank you very much. I really appreciate your time in answering the questions. I'm installing Market Enabler now.

[SIZE=+1]Q1: How do I ask a question, so I'm not called a noob?[/SIZE]While you may see many questions asked in the Development section, PLEASE be aware this is not the place for questions.
Remember to use the search found at the top of the forum. There is also a search within each section. Example click on Q&A HERE. In the upper right you will now see two search's. At the top it says Search All Forums and a little further down you will see Search This Forum. Enter your search criteria in the Search This Forum to get info from this section. The search at the top will look through the entire forum.
Please read as much as you can prior to doing anything with your device.
Make sure your question has not been answered in the OP (Opening Post) of each section of Development
Search Q&A for threads that may have been started for a particular rom
[SIZE=+1]Q2: How do I install a stock update (I'm on a non-rooted phone)?[/SIZE]This link click here will explain the full procedure
[SIZE=+1]Q3: Where do I find Keis and what is it for?[/SIZE]Kies can be found click here. Kies is used to manage the content on Samsung mobile devices. It is used to move information between your PC/Mac to you phone and vice versa
[SIZE=+1]Q4: What does Root/Rooting mean?[/SIZE]Put simply, Rooting your device allows you, and/or rooted apps, to access parts of the Linux based Android software that is your OS, and that you would otherwise not be able to access. These tasks can be as simple and beneficial as backing up your system setting, or as complicated as installing custom ROMs, Kernels, etc.
[SIZE=+1]Q5: What is ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and what is it for?[/SIZE]Please read HERE. There is much to learn, please view everything in the threads OP
[SIZE=+1]Q6: What is the purpose of rooting my Samsung Galaxy Note II?[/SIZE]Please bear in mind, rooting can be dangerous and if done wrong "brick" your phone.
Rooting the phone is a decision made by individuals looking to improve upon the Android OS. There are many benifits, however it is done to customize the phone to it's full potential
[SIZE=+1]Q7: How to I enter Download Mode and Recovery?[/SIZE]1) Make sure your phone is unplugged and powered off.
2) To enter Download Mode: Hold Volume down, home, and power until you see the android.
3) To enter Recovery: Hold Volume up, home, and power for about 5 seconds then release all buttons. You may need to try this a few times.
[SIZE=+1]Q8: What is a "logcat" and how do I create one?[/SIZE]For setting up ADB see What is ADB (above) logcat allows us to log what the OS is doing, and possibly offer information if things are not working. its quite simple to create but may be difficult for most to understand. This is a tool a Developer may ask for in detecting issues your device may be encountering.
To use logcat
Code:
adb shell
logcat
To logcat to a certain file do
Code:
adb shell
logcat -d > /sdcard/whatevertexfileyoulike.txt
For a full explanation follow the link in What is ADB
[SIZE=+1]Q9: Is there an app that will help me create a logcat from my phone?[/SIZE]Yes, however it does have its limitations. If you're stuck in a "bootloop", the app will not work, you will need to use ADB for this. If you're data is not connecting on a certain Rom, (or something similar) within the already booted OS, an app can be rather handy and and more user friendly, for those who don't understand ADB. Apps for logcat can be found in the marketplace
[SIZE=+1]Q10: What does odexed and de-odexed mean and what is the difference between the two?[/SIZE]Please read HERE
[SIZE=+1]Q11: What is CWM Recovery (ClockWorkMod Recovery) and TWRP (TeamWin Recovery Project)?[/SIZE]They are recovery program's that allows you to backup / restore a full or partial system backup of your device. They also allow you to install flashable .zip files; which is one of the primary installation methods for custom ROMs. They also provides other features such as cache and delvik wiping, battery reset, and other processes. If you are thinking about flashing custom ROMs or just want a really good backup program, it's strongly advised that you to install one of these.
[SIZE=+1]Q12: What is the 'Flash Counter'?[/SIZE]Your phone's "Flash Counter" is triggered when it detects custom firmwares. This is Samsung's way of knowing that your device has been modified. Please read HERE to understand what this does and how to fix it.
[SIZE=+1]Q13: What is a ROM?[/SIZE]A rom is like a custom firmware image that is made by a Developer either entirely from scratch, or based off of the official firmware package. Some ROMs contain simple changes like changing icons and adding extra options to things, other more complicated ROMs can change the entire Android experience. Which one you will want to flash, will be entirely up to you. Read carefully, and make sure you understand what you are getting into before you flash.
[SIZE=+1]Q14: What is a Kernel?[/SIZE]A kernel is the heart of the device's OS. In simplest terms it’s a connection between your apps and your device’s hardware; i.e. the processor, RAM, etc. A custom kernel can dramatically change the way your device’s hardware performs… for the better and/or the worse]
[SIZE=+1]Q15: What is a Bootloader?[/SIZE]The bootloader is a program code that is executed before the device OS starts up, and that instructs that device to boot “normally”. The bootloader can come locked or unlocked from the manufacture. A unlocked bootloader will allow you to install custom ROMs & Kernels (as well as some other neat things) on your device.
[SIZE=+1]Q16: What is the best rom for my phone?[/SIZE]While you can ask this as many times as you wish, the only answer is: the one that works best for you! A rule of thumb is to visit a several rom thread's and view what is happening within these rom's. Eventually viewing a few roms will cause the urge to try one that looks good to you.
[SIZE=+1]Q17: What is the MD5, and what does it do?[/SIZE]It ensures that file's are downloaded correct and complete, in order to avoid issues when installing/using it.

Hey Tony, I've been searching for information on Apps2SD for this phone and while I will find it (the information) on my own, I think a mini compendium of sorts would make sense in the FAQ section. Unless of course this is a "Google removed the function, end of story," situation.

To an extent I agree, however that would be better suited in a Q&A then a FAQ.
May I suggest adding "what is a modem"
And then laying out the whole dif(or lack there of) between basband/modem/radio. Also in the kies faq I would like to suggest mentioning the kies EFR. Its a very effective and usefull tool.

When you carrier unlock a device it remains unlocked no matter how many roms or recoveries you flash. My note 2 is unlocked and works just fine.
The bootloader is not locked. Flash a recovery using Odin. Twrp is great.

Good afternoon.
I come with the illusion that any developer can help users of LG P870, I wonder if someone could develop a way to install ClockworkMod recovery as custon able to use unofficial roms, and I am desperate for waiting to come out some method to free once and for all this great phone, the phone is becoming popular because it is inexpensive and is being distributed in the U.S. by AT&T and Telcel Mexico, please support us to all of us that we have this phone.
To add a little, this phone already has root method Bin4ry with a restore script via adb.
I would love for this phone to get unlocked with CWM. It's an amazing phone. We just need to pull everyone together that has one and get them on here until someone can help. I appreciate all of the devs on here and I hope we can get something going on this awesome phone.
Ditto.
Jelly Beans.... Optimus F5 has it. Escape is the same phone. Guess we wait. Hopefully, not as long like Optimus 3D/Thrill.
Disappointing
send an email to LG for a response on whether there would be an early upgrade of our model to Jelly Bean or at least unlocking the bootloader and this was his response:
Thank you for your interest about our mobile phone.
“We received your request on LG Open Source Code Distribution site(http://opensource.lge.com).
This site is just for providing source codes of FOSS(Free and Open Source Software) we have used in our product.”
We don’t have any detailed information about LGP870’s boot loader unlock.
If there is any news, LG will announce officially.
Please wait for more times.
We hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
simply a misfortune I regret having bought this phone from LG
No support
I contacted LG open source and the person that emailed me back said that the escape doesn't support bootloader unlocking.

Has there been any development on P870 so far? At least is there a way to get unbloated version of stock firmware or change the language of the OS?
It would be cool if there is at least a list of stuff we can safely get rid of? Or can we try to get a different version to remove all the crapware AT&T pre-loaded?
Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, there has been no further development. I love this phone, but the lack of support is slowly making me go for either the optimus g or g2. Also as far as I know, there is no list. Its just trial and error I guess. I've personally tried to remove some stuff, but after a reboot it says security error. So certain things will cause a security error while others will be just fine. Btw, the only way (that I know of) to fix a security error is to use the lg support tool to recover your phone.

I see you are still using the device, any specific complaints about the software or the bloatware? Or are they just sitting there chilling until you actually run them? I know T-Mo had a bunch that were constantly running like T-Mo back up, My T-Mo, etc.. After the security error, was it a total restore/recovery or was it not destructive recovery? Sorry, I am not familiar with LG at all, coming from T-679 which was extremely flexible, this is a bit puzzling.
How about language, anyway to switch the language of the OS to something like German?

This is the same issue I am having is that it is coming up with that security error thing. I got into download mode and got the lg update program and every time it keeps stopping telling me to unplug and take out the battery and stuff. Just keeps doing it. Is there another way or is there something I am missing?
HELP PLEASE

Try putting your phone in download mode before using the lg support tool. That normally helps for me. Make sure you choose upgrade recovery in the options tab.

They don't run in the background unless you update them and set them up. I keep all the updates uninstalled and disable auto update so i don't have to worry about them. And yes it is a total recovery. Nothing is saved unless it is on your sim card or sd card. You can change the system language, but I don't see a german option. You might be able to download a language pack from the play store. I'll check into it and let you know.
P.S. sorry for the late reply..
Thanks! I am looking for German and Turkish.

I went to try to install the recovery and rom. First question is, I skipped the driver install and rooting my phone because I am already rooted using motochopper. The f5_touch_ recovery.apk I was told to run does nothing? I tried extracting it and it swill doesn't run or bring anything up? Do I need a program to run this file or is it because I didn't use the method included to root? Then if that is the case and i'm successful at the recovery. What do I need to do to install the Rom?Please help ASAP! I have the recovery and ROM downloaded and saved waiting to install! Been waiting to do this forever so please help! THanks sooo much!
[SIZE=+3]Frequently Asked Questions[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+2]HTC One (M8)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]This a short list of frequently asked questions in this device forum and the answers often given as a response. It should serve as a starting point for gathering knowledge and finding solutions to many common problems. Please only post in this thread with feedback on how to improve this document. Do not post "Thank you" type responses. If you have additional questions or require more help, try to find an existing thread or create your own. Do not use this as a general help thread.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]Q1: What's the difference between "Development" and "Original Development"?[/SIZE]
Here are the rough guidelines as to what should be placed in "Original Development":
*Official release of highly original and upstream custom ROMs (built from the ground up with significant original development within them).
*Official releases/development of such original ROMs, perhaps posted by the maintainer or their nominated person.
*A significant "first" in development for a device. This is something which took considerable time/effort and is generally accepted by developers to be non-trivial.
*Kernels which are built with beneficial changes that are not simply pulled from other kernels already available.
*Tools and utilities with a clear purpose, and which are well-made, and useful to users. They should have an element of originality, either in purpose or through significant improvement in the means of operation.
*Significant port of a ROM from one device to another, giving enhanced features or functionality to the users of the target device.
All other development work goes into "Android Development".
[SIZE=+1]Q2: How do I root my phone?[/SIZE]
First you need to unlock your bootloader. To do that, go to http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader. On the supported devices list, choose "HTC One (M8)"
Download the following file to your phone (either directly on your phone or transfer it via your computer) - http://www.mediafire.com/download/v27kh5nkpo3nfum/superuser.zip
Download the latest PhilZ Touch or TWRP recoveries and flash it by using fastboot commands. (It doesn't matter which recovery you use but I personally recommend TWRP.)
Once you've done that, reboot into recovery (using the combination in the next question) and flash the SuperSU.zip you already downloaded. Once complete, reboot and you'll be rooted.
Squabbi's Toolkit - If you're looking to root your phone quickly and easily this is the method for you.
hasoon2000's Toolkit - Here's another toolkit to root your phone quickly and easily.
*NOTE* I'll never recommend using a toolkit to root your device if you don't know how to do it manually because if you don't know how to root your phone manually, you shouldn't be rooting your phone.
*NOTE* Always be sure to double check everything you read and follow the instructions carefully.
[SIZE=+1]Q3: How can I enter bootloader mode & recovery mode?[/SIZE]
To enter bootloader mode make sure your phone is turned off. Turn it back on while holding the 'volume down' button and you will successfully enter bootloader mode.
To enter recovery mode, you will need to enter the bootloader (as detailed above) then use the 'volume down' button to navigate to 'RECOVERY'. Press the power button to confirm your choice. You'll now be booted into your custom recovery.
[SIZE=+1]Q4: What is the best ROM/kernel/modem?[/SIZE]
Honestly, there is no "best". It's all based on personal choice. For example; I may like heavily customizing my ROMs whereas you may like it to look at basic as possible. The best thing you can do is to just test out different ROMs/kernels/modems and see which you prefer.
[SIZE=+1]Q5: What do terms like S-Off, RUU, MID etc. mean?[/SIZE]
Have a read through the following guide to better understand what these terms actually mean - [GUIDE] Everything Explained by @exad
[SIZE=+1]Q6: Can I install an OTA with a custom recovery or if I have a custom ROM/kernel?[/SIZE]
No, you can't. Don't try installing an OTA if you're using CWM, TWRP or Philz as it won't work. It will only install via the stock recovery.
You'll also need to make sure that you're on the stock ROM and stock kernel.
[SIZE=+1]Q7: I hear a lot about ADB. What is it?[/SIZE]
Find out everything you need to know by reading the following thread - ADB Workshop and Guide for everyone.
[SIZE=+1]Q8: Am I required to backup my ROM before flashing anything else?[/SIZE]
No you're not, but it is definitely a good idea, especially when flashing a ROM with an updated base, because if you don't do a backup and then something goes wrong, it means that you'll lose all your apps, data etc. It just saves a lot of hassle.
[SIZE=+1]Q9: Does this phone have good battery life?[/SIZE]
It's impossible to give you a perfect answer because there are so many different aspects which can affect battery life. We all have different apps installed, use our phones for different amounts of time, have different ROMs and kernels installed etc. so we will all experience different results regarding battery life.
Take a look at the Battery Stats Thread to see the usage & average battery life of other forum members.
[SIZE=+1]Q10: This phone is amazing and I want to tell others how good it is.[/SIZE]
Woah! Wait a moment. DON'T create a new thread to tell us what you think of the M8. Instead, you can post your review in the following thread - Reviews thread
[SIZE=+1]Q11: Are there any hardware/software issues with this phone which I should be aware of?[/SIZE]
To find a list of bugs/known issues, check out the following thread - HTC One M8 Bug-Find List. If you find any issues or solutions to current issues, post it into that thread and make the OP aware of it so that the list can be kept up-to-date.
[SIZE=+1]Q12: I'm not sure whether to get the HTC One M8/what other phones compare to the M8?[/SIZE]
The only person who can make you want the device is you. If you're not sure whether to get this phone, go to your local phone shop which has stock and have a test run of it for yourself. This will give you a good feel as to whether you'll like the One M8 or not.
One thing to remember, if you're asking in this M8 forum, is that you're likely to get biased results. After all, the members who you're asking most likely either have the M8 or will be getting it.
If you're not sure what device to get and want to compare between your choices, please feel free to use the following thread - Device Suggestion Thread
[SIZE=+1]Q13: When will the M8 be S-Off?[/SIZE]
The M8 is now S-Off. Check out the following thread to find out how to make your device S-Off - SunShine for modern Motorola & HTC devices
*NOTE* As you'll soon notice if you decide to S-Off, it'll cost you $25 to do so. Don't even think about moaning about the price here or especially in the SunShine thread. If you don't want to pay that price, don't S-Off or spend all the money and hours required to get an exploit for yourself!
[SIZE=+1]Q14: I have a custom recovery installed but I can't boot into it.[/SIZE]
Use the command - fastboot erase cache.
You should now be able to boot into recovery.
[SIZE=+1]Q15: I don't like Blinkfeed. Can I get rid of it?[/SIZE]
Yes you can.
To do so, swipe right from BlinkFeed so that you reach the "traditional" Android homescreen. Long press on an empty part of the screen and select "Manage home screen pages". You'll then see each of your home screens across the middle of your screen. Simply swipe across to the BlinkFeed screen and click "Remove".
If you change your mind and decide you want to add BlinkFeed again, copy the above steps until you see all your home screens and on the left hand panel you'll see the option "+BLINKFEED". Click that and you've now got it back.
[SIZE=+1]Q16: I have a T-Mobile/AT&T HTC One M8. Can I flash the ROMs in this forum?[/SIZE]
Yes, at least you should be able to.
If you're not sure, check the OP of the ROM thread and search within the thread to find out for sure. The main variant with which you may not be able to flash ROMs in this forum is the Sprint model. As the Sprint variant is a CDMA device, and the others are GSM, ROMs from this forum may not work.
[SIZE=+1]Q17: How can I change the shortcuts on my lockscreen?[/SIZE]
It's actually really simple. All you have to do is drag an app icon from your app drawer to your dock (either side of the app drawer icon) and then lock your screen to see that it has also been changed there aswell.

HTC One (M8) - Mega Tech Discussion Thread
This FAQ is part of a Recognized Contributor Group Initiative. Please look for a similar FAQ thread when visiting another device forum.
Okay guys, I've created this FAQ as I done the same to help those with the M7 and thought I'd do the same over here aswell.
Only post in this thread if you have an addition/improvement for this FAQ!
If you don't have an addition/improvement for this FAQ, then DON'T POST IN HERE! If you do, your post will be deleted on sight.
If you have a question, either ask in the Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum by creating your own thread OR ask in a currently existing thread which is the same topic. Only ask your question after you've already searched for the answer yourself though.
If any questions or irrelevant posts get made in this thread, just ignore them. I will clean them up when I see them. Replying to such posts won't help the situation in the slightest.
This IS NOT a help thread. This is simply an FAQ so NO questions should be being asked or answered in here.
Cheers,
- KidCarter93
I think it might be a good idea to explain what S-OFF is/does and the differences between GPE and Sense and GPE conversion. I could see that coming up a lot.

That's already been suggested in the post above yours.
My apologies for lack of updates thus far but I'm been really busy in real life and therefore haven't had the time.
I will definitely update over the next couple of days

First of all, as I mentioned in post #2, questions shouldn't be being asked in here. Suggestions are fine and even welcomed but questions are not.
Now, regarding adding information about S-Off, RUU's, CID/SuperCID etc. I'm debating creating a separate thread for such information. While I could always add certain parts into this FAQ, to properly explain each of these terms and exactly what they do would somewhat drown and overshadow all other information in this thread as well as most likely being more awkward to have it contained into a readable format.
I'm currently in talks with some other members about a potential new thread and am awaiting responses before I know how I'm going to deal with this. Until that point, the above posts will be kept here (not deleted yet) so that I don't forget about them.
That does not mean that questions are okay to be asked here. Read post #2 and stick to it
I'll update here once a decision has been made either way
Sent from my HTC One via XDA Premium
I've just updated the FAQ to include Q5 which includes a guide to explain things like S-Off, RUU etc.
As always, please let me know if there's anything which should be added and don't forget that questions are to be asked in a separate Q&A thread, NOT this thread!
I think this needs to be put in....

Hi, as I saw more than once the question why there isn't any option to disable bluetooth visibility. This would be a good addition I think:
In essence this is a new "feature" HTC introduced for non-technical users.
The bluetooth visibility on an HTC One M8 works as follows. If you got your bluetooth activated AND you are in the Bluetooth settings screen the HTC One M8 ist visible for ohter devices. If you close this screen it is invisible to other devices.

OTA and custom recoveries
Can I install the OTA with my custom recovery? Why is my phone not working after installing the OTA??
You cannot install an OTA unless you have a completely STOCK ROM and a completely STOCK kernel. If you have flashed a custom recovery do not download & install the OTA.
I've just updated the FAQ to include Q6 which is about installing OTA updates

^^^This. As is mentioned in the OP, as well as having been stated a few times in this thread, this is a FAQ and not a help thread. If you have any questions either ask in the dedicated Help Thread or create a new thread within the Q&A section.
As always, only post in this thread if you have any suggestions for additional content to be added to the FAQ.
Updated the FAQ with an edit to Q13. As pointed out by @xunholyx, the S-Off needed updating to the SunShine thread rather than the old thread.
As always, if you have any potential additions to be added let me know by either posting here or sending me a PM.
Also, be sure to post here ONLY if you have an addition to the FAQ. Anything else will either be deleted or moved to a relevant location, dependant on what's deemed necessary.
Any questions should be asked in the Q&A forum or in the M8 Help Thread.
Cheers

Unlikely yes. But did you consider the fact that is possible that the folks (like myself) that looked at your post didn't know the solution? We can respond to your post that we don't know the answer, but that doesn't' really add any value.
The notion that nobody here answers any questions is ridiculous, and its also insulting to those that spend countless hours helping others. If you look at other threads, you will see plenty of answers. Also, your last question was just asked 2 hours ago. So maybe an answer is still forthcoming.

I didn't insinuate that no one gets answered, I noticed that the more technical the question (my post about not being able to remove stock apps), the more likely that someone will know the answer as it's a more common issue. However, there's an issue inside the system if either the lockscreen isn't secure or I'm unable to switch keyboard that someone must have either A) some knowledge on how that particular thing works or B) someone else has posted about it and been answered, but I don't know what to search for.
I apologise for being rash in my previous comment, but not being secure or using the stock keyboard is somewhat annoying. This being the number 1 usergroup for these issues, it's easy to see why when questions like these go unanswered, it becomes annoying.
I reflashed to stock after every thing I tried bar factory resetting my phone to get over my loudspeaker issues. Some ROM developer out there must have intimate knowledge of how Android handles audio routing.

Not all questions get a response. It's the way it is. It depends who sees it, and if they have the answer.

When you choose to hide the cutout, it blacks out the top portion of the screen in an attempt to hide the camera cutout. It's not trying to take the shape of the cutout. It's just trying to hide it by blacking out the rest of the space.
Thing is...if you choose to hide the cutout, I think that's what it's supposed to do. I could be wrong though. But I think it's normal for this case that the status bar is also moved below that "virtual cutout". Basically it's treating the entire top portion of the screen as a giant "notch". In my opinion, that's a waste of space, so I'd suggest to better leave it default.
However, if you wanna have the status bar on a black background, so that the camera is not that obvious, and basically hide it a little better, while also having the status bar up top, simply choose a different wallpaper, one where the top part is black, or edit one, so that the top part of it is black. But...I think that might look kinda weird. So if that's what you're looking for, go for it. If not, just use a regular dark/black wallpaper.
Personally, that camera cutout doesn't bother me that much. And I prefer it over a regular notch in the middle of the screen. But that could be just my personal preference.
I have enabled hidden screen recorder in adb settings where I can get the settings and how to save recordings

How to solve this and use the two chips normally?
Hey brother if this helps I relocked mine but got the same screen but I did see a message via CMD Windows 10 during fastboot when relocking the bootloader saying that I had to go under developer options and enable OEM bootloader unlock then re send the command via fastboot in CMD so I did so and that pesky warning screen on my motto one action about unlocked bootloader went away that's also after using the rescue software to rid of TWRP, Magic and root and put the original stock firmware north american latest back on my phone.

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I unfortunately do not understand much about build.prop but I'm wanting to understand. I've factory reset my phone without fixing my issue so I took a look at my recovery logs which look like this tmp/recovery.log, I am hoping someone has a stock build.prop for the xt2013-4 and what is the best way to tell if there is something wrong with the phone?
Anyone who's still on stock (android 10) mind getting the device fingerprint for me please?

Sorry for posting even more questions, but I'd like to know:
I'm currently on LineageOS 18.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-troika-11-lineageos-18-1.4276001/) and wanted to try out the LineageOS 17.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-troika-10-lineageos-17-1.4158525/)
TWRP seems to flash the ROM just fine, with no errors, but when I try to flash Gapps, it gives me error 20 (incompatible android version). Anyone have any ideia why that might be happening?
For reference I'm using TWRP 3.3.1, and I'm doing a clean flash.
Also, if I wanted to get my device back to stock. Like, factory stock, as if just purchased. What would be the best of doing it?
Someone posted a link with the stock roms but they're not flashable with TWRP. (https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/troika/official/RETBR/)
Lastly, while I am satisfied and grateful for the custom ROMs currently available, I must admit there aren't many options to choose from at the moment. Why is that? Is it not popular? Or not a worthwhile device? Or are developers simply not interested?
Thanks in advance for any answer

The dev is active, I suggest asking in the rom thread.

You need to flash stock firmware with fastboot.exe or LMSA

Motorola devices have largely lost the interest of Devs.
As android has matured and most unique features that custom roms had, are now part of stock android.
Most people that care about the android version, buy a new device every year or two.
So fewer people are using custom roms.
and Roms are built by the owners of the devices.

I see... I thought it was something exclusive to this device but in that case it's more of a general "problem".
Like I said, I'm happy with what we have of course! I was just curious because I think the Moto One Action has some potential, so when I came here for the first time I thought it would have a more active scene.
Thanks for the quick response btw!

Also Motorola is a small part of the Android market.
With so many Android OEMs, and fewer active Devs, you just don't see many options for many devices anymore.
