Hi All
I recently decided to remove as much bloatware as I could from my G3 according to http://forum.xda-developers.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=3149
My phone is rooted and I used Root Explorer to remove those damn bloaty appys
The problem I have now is that my LED constantly flashes blue and green. Funny thing is that I have gone into Settings > Display > Notification LED and turned this off and on without luck. Currently it is turned off and they LED is still flashing
Tried another route which was to install Light Manager to control the LED and no dice. Now I get a notification saying 'Tap to configure app notification and icon' and despite enabling it still doesnt work.
It seems something is causing the LED to constantly flash but I cant see it as an APK or a wakelock.
Trawled the web without much luck so looking for the XDA guys and gals to help !

I have a stock Note 4, never been rooted. When I used to plug in the charger, the notification light would light up red with the screen off, and if I had notifications it would blink blue.
Today it stopped doing that. I tried restarting and removing the battery, same thing. The only time the light will come on is if I restart my phone, it turns blue for a little bit, but notifications nor a power cable plugged in will trigger it.
Phone is less than a month old, I don't have the TEP on it, would Sprint replace it with a refurb model if they're unable to fix it?
edit: I found a way around it by going to accessibility > notification reminder > and turning on LED indicator, when I turn it on though it warns me that using this feature disables the charging notification. I guess it’s better than having no notification light at all.
edit2: there's another option under settings > display and wallpaper > LED indicator. for some reason that was unchecked. turned it on and everything is back to normal.

Thank you!! I had the exact same problem and the "edit2" solution solved it perfectly. :highfive:
Has a proper fix been found for this yet? I have a Samsung Note 4 that was just updated to Android 5.1.1 and the LED notification stopped working. I have gone through all of the settings that effect it, but nothing works. I am not interested in a work around. I am only interested in having my phone function as it is supposed to.
The LED notification light will not flash for messages or specific set notifications . All LED settings are turned on, each was turned off and back on, LED notification is turned on, accessibility LED is turned. Battery was removed and reinstalled. No change. Several suggestions online regarding installing an LED manager. Installed Lightflow, no change., uninstalled. Currently installed Light Manager, no change. With LED managers checked box in Security for downloaded apps access to notification. When I turn off LED notification and then turn back on, I checked each feature for notification and the light blinks to confirm color, but then will not blink when an actual notification happens. Any ideas?

Have you tried settings>accessibility> scroll all the way to bottom and activate the service for whatever notification app you are using.

Yes that was the first thing done.
Don't know if this also applies to you:
If you go withing settings to Display-->LED notifications and do a long-press on that one you can find a number of check-marks.
The last one is for "Downloaded applications" - I had the same issue once when a check-mark was missing there

Hey guys,
My LED is stuck blinking the blue light like if it was rebooting.
I don't have any notification, nor alarm set.
I don't know how to disable this. Even the notification light is off in the settings.
Please help.
Hey, I seem to remember having a similar issue and I think it was related to the doze feature. I had used an editor to make it aggressive? Have you done something similar by chance?

Same problem here.
Dont know why
Deleted data and disabled apps -> appeared again.
Deleted data again, now disabled only few apps, dont have this error anymore.
There is an app which is causing this, i think.
This happened just after I flashed the deodexed system apps to be able to flash the xposed framework.
Then because of the LED always on, I restored a backup I made just before flashing this. Result, the LED kept on on the old backup..
Hi all
I'm new around here so can't comment in the ongoing dev thread for the cuoco92 ROM.
After flashing this ROM, the notification led light became blue (not an issue) but more worryingly it is always on. It is continously on from the moment the phone is turned on till it is shut down.
Anyone have the same issue? Any solutions?
So I am still not sure why that happened but I found a quick solution:
1- Install this app: (Can't post URL) Light Manager - LED Settings from the Play Store
2- Choose some random settings in the app and apply them. At this point, the persistent blue led light turned off.
3- Uninstall the app.
*#*#76937#*#*
And turn off - "Sleep sign on".
My notification light is not working for notifications and sleep sign on is off... it only comes on when charging

Its append to me too, hard reset will do the job done.
Hey all, I've just got a OnePlus 5T, at the moment i'm running the stock OxygenOS.
I see that I can control the colour of the notification led, however is there a way to make it so the LED doesn't blink and is always on?
If not I might just flash LinageOS, however I was thinking of keeping the phone stock for now if at all possible.
Edit - I found this could be done with an app called Light Manager, however it always had to have a notification saying the app was running.
In the end I found I was missing various other tweaks from LinageOS, so have just flashed that and am really enjoying the phone so far!
