Does anybody know if there its a way to disable the hardware volume buttons? My wife is constantly hitting them when she picks up the phone, and asked if I can turn them off. She says she can do all of her volume control in on screen menus. Currently running stock rooted EL29 build.
Those who would trade Liberty for Security, will end up with neither.
There's an app called Volume Locker, several layers of customization. There are probably a dozen more just like it too.

Not sure if this is Jelly Bomb related, but all of my volumes are stuck using the volume keys. It looks like it's adjusting but just immediately back to to the last set level. I can however adjust them via settings. Anyone know what's going on? Thank you.
When watching some show with XBMC the soft keys stay continually on , I need to know if an Xposed module or something else can do the trick to turn them off?
Are you on stock ROM or cm11? For stock just turn power saving on and it should be off. For cm11 there's an option for that in settings, buttons,backlight

Why don't you just turn off the lights in the settings? It's under Display.
Why oh why am I allowed to change the ringtone volume when the phone is locked?
Granted, media volume should be adjustable, but with the phone in my pocket, it is too easy to turn the ringtone volume all the wasy down to vibrate.
No way a 5100mah battery is in this phone. Has anyone removed the back to see the battery?

"volume control" app looks like it can lock only the ringtone, so that is a workaround for one of my issues

I don't really get what you're looking for. But I'm using Fluid Navigation Gestures.
Try it for yourself. Or just use stock?
