Hi
Is there any way to access hidden menu for any bluetooth/aptx codec related settings?
I know the code, i can enter hidden menu, but i cannot find the settings i want. In and im pretty certain they are somewhere there in deeper layers. There was a topic for LG G3 for it, but for G4 settings in hidden menu seems different. I running LG G4 H815
What i want to check if is if i have enabled aptx-codec.
what is the code kind sir i would like to see the menu too

Hey there
My G4 is hardware encrypted and secured with a pin-lockscreen.
Now I would like to change the default app shortcuts on my lockscreen.
But I can't find any settings for changing these shortcuts...
Is there any hidden settings, to change these shortcuts, or is it a bug in the LG Android UI?

You need to remove pin lock to change the shortcuts, then reinstate it once you have the shortcuts you'd like there. LG removes the option when you have a secure lockscreen for some stupid reason.
thanks for your reply
the problem is, I can not disable pin-lock because of my device encryption settings. And encryption can't be disabled without a factory reset :/
Looks like I need to wait for an other solution, eventually a dev will release a Tweak-Box app for changing all these small things. I would definitely appreciate it.
Hey All,
Posted this in Q&A as well, but I thought I might put it here too and expand on it. I originally bought the AT&T H810, but recently picked up the H815 EUR model because I really wanted the FM radio function and the ability to unlock the bootloader, etc. As I started using the H815, I noticed a couple of things that are a little different than the H810, mostly in the lockscreen area:
- On the H810, when you swipe down on the lockscreen, you get the quick settings menu. On the H815, swiping down shows you the current user, not quick settings
- On the H810, when Pattern Lock is selected, you're still able to select a screen swipe effect. On the H815, the only way to get the screen swipe effect option to appear is to select Swipe as the security method.
Any reason why these functions would be different between devices? I've tried playing around with the settings, but I can't seem to get the H815 to match what I was able to do on the H810. If anyone knows if it's possible to change these things, your help would be much appreciated!!
Also, does anyone know if there's a master list of things that are different between variants?
Hi,
Here on Argentina we have the 815 variant and when I swipe down on the lockscreen it gets me my quick settings bar.
Can not confirm the pattern lock, but I'm pretty sure that if you choose that you won't get any swipe effect.
Other thing I now think about: could it be that the variant makes one be able to splitter audio simultaneosuly on Bluetooth and wired headphone and the other does not? I'm sadly on the NOT variant, and that's a feature I 'd like to have...
Thanks for the reply! I'm wondering why mine only lets me see the user menu? Which software version are you running? I have V10D-EUR-XX
Here I attach a screenshot of my drop shade on the lock screen.
My software version says v10a-722-34.
I guess it's an old one as I heard on these forums about 10f.
I have issues with the knock on feature some times...

No need for two of the same thread.
Plus it is an XDA rule, as this would be considered spamming the forum

Hello, i'm new to Xposed and I absolutely despise the LG skin for the pull down menu. I'm looking for a way to change it to be more like the other devices. I'm also using the verizon G4 which is rooted.
Hey all, I have a bit of a conundrum. Today I was digging through some hidden activities with activity manager, and I noticed that several functions from the g4 and g5 are found in the settings activities (for example, the smart cover, notification LEDs, and a few others). Activating most of them provide no effect, as I'm assuming they were disabled from use. However, looking in the LG home 4.0, I saw an activity called smart bulletin. And for those who don't know, it's the equivalent of the Google now page for LG apps. However, I cannot access any of the features, but it does appear on the home screen. Is there a method for enabling the use of this( perhaps through all sideloading or other means)? Also, as far as some of these hidden features go, is there any way to activate those? I have the k425 on 7.0 nougat.

Download Nova launcher and add an activities widget, when the screen to select activity appears, expand the selections for homescreen and long press on smart bulletin, when it's launched, activate it and then you can close Nova launcher. You don't have to select Nova as default homescreen though.

I didn't have to use nice to activate it; as a I mentioned earlier, I use activity launcher instead. It's activated, and it appears, but there's no options for it. It's as though LG simply removed the apps to make the feature work, and didn't fully remove this feature
I don't know if this applies to all Samsung phones, or even all Android phones on Android 9, but it's infuriating to figure out if there's a sub-menu when looking at the settings menu.
For instance, I go into the Notifications Setting, and there are settings for the recent apps - say "Calendar". There is a very very faint vertical line next to the on/off button, that indicates if I press this item, I will get a lower level menu with more options.
The problem is it's very hard to see this line, and as a result I end up clicking like a fool on almost all of the menus, to see if there is a sub-level menu to get more options or not. If there isn't, I end up switching that setting off to on, or on to off... very infuriating.
This is horrible horrible user interface design. Is there a fix to this mess so it's obvious at a glance if a settings menu has additional options / menus?

Do you mean easy mode where it gets rid of the app drawer and has more of an iOS like experience?
I'm a power user and I wouldn't like the easy mode.
