Why no development for the LTE versions of the Tab S - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just curious?
Is it a lot more work w/ the cell modem?

I'm confused by your question. In the development section there are roms, kernels, recoveries, Root exploits, all for lte devices.
How can that be no development?

[Q] Difference between the 2 forums

Can anyone tell me please what's the difference between Galaxy Note II Original Android Development and Galaxy Note II Android Development?
I'm quite new to this phone and I love it! Thinking about rooting is, no flashing yet
Android Development is mainly for ROMs, and tools relating to rooting etc.
Android Original Development is mainly for custom kernels and other custom mods.

Now, to sort out and make sense of the roms and their current state. Makes my head swim!

Quick question

Hi All
Newish owner here
I have searched but cant find a good answer
Why is there a development forum and an original development forum?
Both seem to contain current roms etc
Stu
Android development has ROMs and other software that are based on existing ones e.g. original HTC firmware. You find most Sense ROMs on this section.
Original Android development contains ROMs, kernels, etc that are built from source, not based on stock HTC ROM. You could say Original Dev section only has AOSP-based ROMs but there are some exceptions like ViperX ROM, which is considered "extraordinary development"

Using ROMs from another carrier

From my understanding, the newer D2LTE unified builds have support for all carriers, ATT, Verizon, Sprint, etc. But there are ROMs on the Verizon GS3 forums that are not posted here in the ATT GS3 forums that are classified as D2LTE. Even though they are not posted here, do they still have support for this carrier and should we be able to flash them on our ATT device since it is a unified ROM?
AICP (Android Ice Cold Project) being one example

It depends on the developer.
Cyanogenmod states that d2lte covers d2att, d2vzw, etc etc. You'd have to check with them.
Other than that the main problem you would probably have is just network issues.
For future reference, you should always post the thread as it is easier for people to find it. I'll be posting it below in case anyone wants to visit the thread.
[ROM][d2lte][02 APR] AICP - 3.5 - KK 4.4.2_r2[Nightlies] by swift2989
As far as I am aware, you are able to flash this ROM. It's a bit weird to see ROMs that are supported across multiple family of devices not being on other carrier specific forums, unless of course it doesn't support that carrier. I will mention that the CyanogenMod Wiki contains some good information about "D2LTE" here. Please remember that you will never be able to flash anything for the i9300 or the i9305 for now. Flashing those specific ROMs will cause your device to brick and possibly need a JTAG to fix it.

Anyways, I will mention this thread and see if the author wants to post it on here too.
Edit #1: The post can be found here.

ROMs for other S4 variants usable on M919?

Simply put what other development pages can I look at for ROMs? Or should I only look here?
Never mind think I found it, flashing TMO kernel after ROM.

[Q] inter-ROM Kernel Compatibility

Good Day to you all!
As the thread title states, provided that I'm going to use the same Android version (4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4,...)is it possible that kernels can be installed across different ROMs?
I ask this because I'm planning to use the latest LX CM11 kernel on other 4.4.4 ROMs available in the development forums, the problem though is its modules and its overall compatibility with other ROMs.
Sorry I had to post this here because I still have 4 more posts to make before I'll be allowed to make posts on specific threads other than the Q&A section.
Thanks in advance!
