This afternoon my brother gave me his old LG E975. I searched its imei and it turns out that it is "SWIFT G F180" although it says on about phone that it is LG E975. So im kinda confused. It is running on android 4.1.2 jellybean EUR. The problem is he said that it suddenly lost its signal although sim cards are detected. There is baseband on about phone and imei is still there. What do you think is the problem here?
Where did your bro get phone from? It could be a converted f180. Confirm what phone it is, then flash stock and go from there...search is your friend

Hi everybody i am new to xda
Last week i got Lg f180L AND I CONVERTED IT INTO lg E975 from a site cellrabta.com
when i converted it into e975 signals started droping and getting weak. i flashed a baseband got from same site i.e cellrabta and my signals became ok
then i tried to update my jellybean rom to KK through software update but that gave me an error "Your phone is not registered yet"
then i rooted my phone with method from cellrabta and installed cwm with freegee and flashed kitkat stock rom from xda
but my signal problem was back and i tried to flash baseband it made my imei to be unknown
as i got my sim out of Lg optimus g imei was back and as i inserted sim imei unknown and service disabled again
i flashed stock f180l rom from cell rabta and then converted it again to e975 but signal problem was there i tried again to flash baseband but same problem of imei
now i am using art mod rom from xda its better signals are better than before but not stable and drops but less than before
what should i do? i am really worried cause i got it a week before and my brother is gonna get mad on me for making problems in it

Flash f180L kdz, don't convert it into e975 and then flash artmod or sling :good:
your phone will have imei and signals

Hey i searched internet and found a zip file name patch_bb_l that solved my problem when i lost my signals after converting to E975
hello everyone
i don't know about android that much
when i first bought my lg g3 LS990 "sprint device" i had some issues with the 3G/LTE since i live in middle east and the only way to access 3g signals is through CDMA??!
anyway... i went to a repair man and told him about my problem he rooted my phone, flashed a custom recovery "TWRP", then flashed a custom rom
when everything was done he managed to fix the 3g signals some how but the phone still wasn't able to get 4g signals
the weird thing is that when i checked the system info the mobile's model was changed from LS990 to D855
i didn't pay much attention to that back then but in the meanwhile i did some stuff and i had to flash a custom rom so while doing that my phone soft bricked
now i'm trying to flash stock rom again the problem is when i tried to flash LS990 stock rom i had an error message that says "device model is different"
and when i try to flash D855 rom it proceeds to 6% then an error message occurs says "partition change fac... 00000064" can't see the whole error message cause flash tool is not re-sizable
so now im not able to flash D855 model's rom or ls990 one
what should i do please i need help if anybody knows

Hello Everyone I have a problem with my LG G3 which I have bought it recently was working nice but it had KitKat so I wanted to upgrade to lollipop but didn't know that LG G3 had different variant.
I've downloaded a wrong flash (LS990 sprint) and flashed it. so I lost the network and I noticed that the imei has changed. and I don't have the original IMEI of the phone ( the sticker on the back of phone is for D855 16GB not for D855 32GB).so I think its not the original IMEI.
After bricking the phone I've opened it and noticed that it was D855 written on the motherboard.
when trying to flash the original D855 rom it doesn't work (flashed it using the crossDLL method and using the Hex Method By changing D855 to LS990 to make the flash tool think Its LS990) the flash pass on both methods but i'm stuck on LG logo.
send it to some repairing services here in my country but they didn't fix it they thought its sprint so they flashed PrimeGSM but still no network.
I think I should change the IMEI before flashing D855 or something.
please Help me I've looked all over the NET but find no solution to this problem.
If you need more informations ask me. Help me as soon as possible this is the only phone that I have.
Did you ever figure out how to fix this? I have a ls990 which was flashed with PrimeGSM and is now detected as a d855... I have been trying to get this working for the last two days with no luck

What is the problem that you are facing ?
Is it a network problem or what ?
Primegsm is ported from d855 so i think it will show D855 on any lg g3 that does'nt mean that your phone detected as d855.
Make sure your phone is ls990 or another variant
And which country and carrier ? So i can help you.
I basically have a soft bricked phone - no OS as all. I am in New Zealand running on the Vodafone network.
I was using PrimeGSM and it was working fine but decided to go back to the stock ZV8, when running through LG Flash Tool I noticed Download mode was showing the model as a D855 and would not accept the LS990 DLL - I then made the mistake of using the generic DLL with a D855 image which started a boot loop - then made more mistakes and ended up with no OS and stuck at the LG logo.
At this stage I am able to get to fastboot and use fastboot boot to get into TWRP but cannot do much from there, I also have to use the D855 TWRP image as the LS990 fails with a device tree issue. fastboot will not erase any partitions or flash any images manually. Using terminal in TWRP I am able to browse the partition though but cannot mount the SD card or use adb to push or pull (fails with error closed)
I stuffed up quite a few times along the way but sure I can recover from it since I still have quite a bit of access to the device...
I managed to get my phone going again by following a guide I found in the forum, I am pretty sure it would solve the ops issue as well.
Really quick and easy, I just bridged the points with a needle and copper cable.

So someone gave me a LG G3 which he updated to "D85530C_00_0211.kdz". After that the phone stuck in the LG logo and it rarely loads the phone but it freezes. I can barely unlock the phone sometimes but usually it doesn't recognise the touch.
Neither the PC is recognising the phone.
I tried to use LGFlashTool with TOT file but after "READY" when I unplug and plug again it says "Download Fail".
I also tried with the older LGFlashTool using the KDZ but still didn't work. It only worked with the KDZ above, which is the same software and again it is freezing.
LGUP isn't working too.
Any help/suggestions?
P.S.
Maybe I'm using wrong TOT/KDZ?
-The version he updated and also I was able to install is D855
-Under the battery writes "Made in Korea" which may be a Korean phone but Korea doesn't have D855
-I searched on imei.info the IMEI number and it says Carrier Poland.
-I tried using Poland KDZ, Hong-Kong TOT (because they have d855) and Europe TOT(which also has d855)
-The phone is 16GB
I do believe that your board is not of d855. It happened to me a month ago. When I opened the phone.I saw d850 written on my board.so that might be the problem.

It says D855 behind the phone. Also all parts do write D855 and a number near by. So it must be a D855.
hello guys
i wanted to go back to stock of my lg f180l after i flashed kdz i lost imei number i dont have efs backup but i have my imei on the box i was trying everything but it wont work i am stuck with application called QPST which can retrieve my imei but QPST configuration cant detect my phone does anyone know what to do?

so i figured out the problem i couldnt belevie it was that easy when i took out the sim card slot and turned on my phone without it imei came back then i put in sim card and Boom its working
just download and flash kdz L u+ version 30c or latest. you will have you imei back.i also have f180l version, always worked for me
